"If by decent you mean can avoid killing myself while using it then yes," Arlen said, sighing again. "I'm trying to get more useful in combat, but it's not going very well."

"Why not? Aren't you training?" Cerri asked, arching a brow. "If I had as many weirdos after me as you two, I would spend every spare moment trying to get in shape.

"I am training," Arlen said, wincing as he thought of what his training has become. "But I am not getting anywhere with it."

Cerri snorted, then quaffed the rest of her brandy. "Then either the training isn't right for you, or you're holding back." she told him, setting the glass aside. "Think long and hard, and figure out which, boy."

"I don't know," Arlen said, thinking. "Master Guan said that it was the fastest way for me to improve. Apparently stuff is moving fast all around the world and I need to get better before something happens."

"Then it's you, if you trust him to know what will help you improve." Cerri told Arlen, shrugging a shoulder. "What part of you are you keeping back? What are you afraid of?" she asked, seemingly off-subject, eye fixed intently on him.

"I.. I don't know," Arlen said. "How can I figure out what it is?"

"You get to know yourself so well you start to hate yourself." Cerri answered cheerfully. "You face all of those ugly little things you keep locked inside because they hurt to think about. You face them and accept them for what they are; when you do that, you learn what you're really afraid of, what kind of person you really are, and when you know yourself... then there is no limit to how far you can go, if you're willing to work for it."

Arlen sighed. "It sounds like something that takes a while to do," he said. "I don't think I'll have time to do it."

Cerri shrugged, leaning back in her chair. "Then you'll have to find another way. I don't know what to tell you... that's the only advice I have. But then... I'm rather foolish. Someone else can help, I'm sure."

"Thanks Cerri," Arlen said, looking down at Lily and wondering if she was still alright.

"Eh, don't thank me until I do something useful." Cerri answered with a wink, then stood and headed upstairs, humming softly, not bothering to say good night.
Vincent was the first to come back to his body, simply because he had less distance to travel. The man sat up abruptly and took a gasp of hair, then turned green and stood, running to the nearest bathroom to be sick; he didn't handle out of body experiences well.
When Lily came to, it was with a whimper, flexing her damaged hands without opening her eyes. "Arlen... it hurts..." she whispered, again looking a bit lack-luster and tired; she'd spent every ounce of magic she had. She felt drained, little more than a dried out husk, and the physical pain on top of that caused a few tears to leak from her eyes.

Uakia was the last to arrive back in her body. Having made sure the other two went.. and not quite sure how to settle back in.
Finally she gasped sitting up. She felt.. extreamly queezy herself but was able to controll it. Not seign vincent.. but reconizing the sounds she grinned
"Honey.. I'm home" she murmmued rubbing her head.. she felt dizzy and not quite fit in her own skin just yet

Arlen instantly hugged Lily to him, undoing his belt around their hands to make it more comfortable and calling up the White Flame again to heal her. "You did it though," he said, gently kissing her tears away. "Now you just need to rest."

Lily nodded tiredly and relaxed against him, near to limp in his arms. Her wounds healed quickly, having already had two half-healings, and the teen gave a sigh of relief. "It'll... feel better in a bit, Uka." she murmured, keeping her eyes shut, one hand clutching Arlen's shirt in a fist; all of the magic symbols she'd made faded, flames seeming to burn to embers before vanishing.
Vincent, still looking a bit green around the gills, stumbled into the main room. He looked at Lily intently for a moment, then gave a tight smile to Arlen before going to Ukaia, kneeling before the couch she was on; looking into her eyes, he gently undid the belt Tomo had put around their hands, needing to hold her.
