Peppermint Elf This girl on Ravelry was talking about how when her college roommate came to visit her during the summer, she threw a can of chick peas, a clove of garlic, and a little lemon into her blender and made hummus. Her roommate was just blown away that she just made her own and served it to her.
It kinda reminded me of when I was 15 and my friend had never seen popcorn not being cooked in a microwave (I made it in a pot on the stove). She'd come over and would always ask for "real" popcorn (non-microwaved). I always wondered how she thought people made popcorn before microwaves. sweatdrop Well you know, "real" is always better than "fake". xp

Hey Nabs, since I wasn't around when you offered them, I was wondering if you still had any coupons for Adagio teas. If you do, I'm highly interested in ordering from them as it is. 3nodding heart

After reading some of what was said, even I'm interested but the only problem is..I'm not a tea drinker. I don't know the first thing about brewing tea (if it's in teabags, then I know how to do that)..but tea is supposed to be healthy and I need to lose weight anyway but I don't know if tea would be the thing to drink really. Green tea probably, but I don't like green tea..bleh!

.......Holy ********, I think I've owed you all this for a looooong time now. Bascially, if anyone recalls this, I made a comment about doing something way back, the day after Thanksgiving, about doing something that I couldn't actually believe I did, also made a mention of fail Dial-up.... Well, what that thing was, was me telling a girl that I have a crush on, that I well.... had a crush on her. We talked for a bit over the following months, and such, and it was later made clear to me that it was a mutual thing. However, due to the fail factor of distance, we didn't really do much about it. Well, just a moment ago, we talked a bit more on the issue, things were covered and talked about, and somehow this led to us apparently now going out... The reason I was rather hesitant to say this before, was because of who it was, which is someone I let into the AG, Dill. Right now, I'm having trouble thinking correctly, and can't stop grinning. So basically AG, I'm happy as hell right now, just wanted you all to know that. heart

As for brewing, if you're drinking black/flavored/herbal/red tea, you boil water and pour it in the cup with the teabag. Wait 3-5 minutes, remove tea bag, and drink when cool.
If you're brewing green/white tea, you boil water, turn off the heat and LET IT SIT for 5 minutes, then pour into the cup. Wait 2-3 minutes, remove the tea bag, and drink when cool.
The dealie is a free $5 coupon to Adagio teas. 3nodding

Two good, common (and well-known, at least around these parts), and relatively inexpensive brands that I would recommend are Celestial Seasonings and Stash. 3nodding I really like Stash's Peppermint, Earl Grey, and Pomegranate Raspberry flavours, but virtually everything I've tried by them is quite good. heart

Try some of the ones at the grocery store! Lipton Pyramid teas are REALLY good. Some more good tea brands are Tazo and Republic of Tea.
