"Not really. It's not like we're in the same place all the same time. So we're not on top of each other." Shrugging lightly but trying not to overanyalyze her behavior. Besides, questions were going to be saved for Zykariel. "Trapping? No. We're all pretty much do your own thing until things start getting dangerous and the like." Yeah she was just confusing the mess out of him now. "Right now? They love me all the time even when they're irritated with me. It's just what parents do."
"Yeah. But you may of been fine, it isn't impossible you know." Again that answer before he seemed to realize that he may have made her upset. "I'm sorry...we shouldn't talk about things that make people sad. It's rude." Clasping his hands in his lap in polite fashion.
"Mhm...I'm sure you still enjoy it. Not that I expect you to be doing it too much. We make sure to try to exhaust you by a certain time to try and keep you on some kind of schedule. And I'll have to ask her about it." Shaking his head lightly and watching his son again. "Just saying. She's still sensitive too."
"Since I'm your wife and I say so. That's when. Maybe if you do behave for two days then I'll let you play overlord and what not." Shaking her head and giving him a smirk. "Maybe when you feel better and you've behaved I'll wear leather for you. But right now I have other thins to attend to...now be good or I'll make sure you hurt when I get back." Thusly out of the room with her, meeting up with her father in the hallway. A poke of her head into the room that Lark was in. "Excuse me a moment kids, Lharika...could you keep an eye on my men for me? I have to tend to something and I'm taking father with me." Waiting for confirmation then before off with her. It wasn't hard to find where Rainmare was staying and thus to the room and a knock on the door.

Well, that was much better then wasn't it? She really couldn't handle anymore family around her. "Dangerous. Do you get blamed often?" That was something she could relate to, regardless of the real culprit. His last question and subsequent statement only took her by surprise and her hands stopped their movement in Dhairiss' hair for a moment as she stared at him. "Oh. Well..." That...didn't make sense to her. "Are you sure?"
"That is true as well. But elves are naturally gregarious creatures so even if I had survived on my own, I would have eventually attempted to find someone to just be around. I didn't like being alone, even when I was small." Giving him a soft smile, she shook her head. "I don't think so, Mykorian. I think it's important sometimes to show your emotions. Emotion means I still care about my family and my real parents even if I've allowed myself to be adopted." Pausing a moment and she laughed, "But that's enough about me. Why don't you tell me some about your parents? You sound like you love them very much."
He gave his father a mischevious smile, remniscent of his crooked grin when he was a kid. "Anythign to get out of work, you know." He was perfectly fine with that attitude even if it wasn't entirely true. He and his father both knew it, too. They'd talked abotu when he was younger and he was willing to admit the classes ended up easy and he stopped paying attention. "Yeah well, I forgave her a long time ago. She's the one who keeps bringing it up."
Zahara came out of the bathroom, trailing steam, her hair standing on end but she was clean. She glanced down at the rag and moved it with her foot then up to her husband with a clearly amused chuckle. "Haven't had the urge attack you yet? I'll take care of it for you." Thus down on her hands and knees, scrubbing at that spot of almost dried blood.

So he rolled his eyes and laid back, idly twiddling his thumbs. already getting bored, unable to get out of this damned bed. well maybe he'd get lucky and get a visitor or something eventually.
Locks were heard being manipulated on the other side, before half a face glanced out and then closed and opened the door fully, Justwysper gesturing to her to come in.
Rainmare was standing at the window, watching the outside. hsi clothing was immaculate, wearing a gold embroidered while shirt and cream slack into polished black boots. his hair was tied back, adn he didn't turn around to acknowledge anything.
Justwysper was wearing a red and gold robe, obviously a caster's clothing rather than a bathrobe or after dinner outfit, and got a seat for Piper and settled herself down on the edge of the bed, casually crossing her legs.
"Is there something we can help you with?"
Justwysper's voice was calm, sweet sounding a bit, but certainly not hostile in any manner.

"No. Only when I do something stupid or the like." Shrugging again despite how it disrupted his ribs and made his body ache. Kaelin looked a little put off now and he sighed internally...he was blowing it wasn't he? Why did he have to be helpless when it came to this? "Yeah...I'm sure they do. Why would they not?"
He had looked up at Piper as she had spoken to Lharika, going quiet himself a moment before the conversation between them started upagain. "Being alone is just boring. Have no one to talk to and the like." Nodding to her as she then gave her opinion back to him and then it was his turn. "I do love them very much. They took very good care of me so why wouldn't I love them? My dad's a surface elf and my mom's a drow. We moved around a lot depending on how mom felt."
"Sure that's what you say." Shaking his head with a sigh, "Well I think you need to tell her. It may make her feel better." Turrnin his attention to his wife then as she came out and duly took to cleaning. Did she had to clean like that. "I'm having a conversation with my son...I can control the urge to clean somewhat."
She wandered in with her father in tow, Kieran electing to stand out of the way and quiet by the door as she sat down politely, watching the woman across from her. "I just wanted to make sure that everything is settled, despite personal feelings and all. Forgive me if you both think it not a subject worth discussing anymore, but I have to have the peace of mind that my family is safe and sound now. I have my husband and oldest son laid up in bed, and my little one being evasive to me because of all of this...I don't want to worry anymore than I need to. I'd rather focus all my attention on my menfolk."

Kaelin frowned again, more uncertain now than ever before. Malikhai didn't get blamed for everything dangerous in his house and he had the guarantee of his parent's love all the time. That wasn't something she was used to at all. "Some parents just don't? Do they love your brother more than you?" Glancing down at the small child in her lap.
Lharika heard Piper, giving her confirmation and then turned back to Mykorian. "Yes, those are very good reasons to love them, indeed. Now, why don't you come with me and we'll go check on the menfolk and make sure everyhting is alright with them and then we'll get you straight back here. If Zahara asks, we'll say I'm your supervisor. Come along now."
"Perhaps." He glanced at his mother, chuckling softly. She'd never really cared about what her kids saw her in. He remembered taking a bath with her more than once when he was really little. "Mom, towel."
She glanced down and tucked the corner a little tighter, scrubbing at teh blood then tossed the rag into the sink with the other two she'd thrown there. "I meant to ask you, why do we have two bloody rags?"

Rainmare's head turned to the side lightly.
"you're...menfolk...for the time being are perfectly safe from me. Malik D'vinn's unique tie to this plane makes him a target beyond my power to kill, and while I can face him in combat, it can only result in my own death. further proven by the fact that he has not become a sloth in his immunity."
turning his attention back out to the peole doing thier own thing.
Justwysper gave him a small frown and an exasperated sigh.
"As far as honor is concerned, it's restored. My husband can't kill him without becoming the one to commit a far worse genocidal event. and considering the combat that occured, wether he wants to admit it or not.."
that got a look and a snort from Rainmare.
"...your husband showed mercy and honor, in a manner that was not close to the creature that he apparently was during thier first encounter."

"No, they love us the same. He gets a little more attention right now because he needs it more than I do but that's because he's little. Like this morning when dad changed my bandages forme, he made sure he involved my brother so he didn't feel left out." Odd questions but he was indulging them.
He was a little nervous to leave the room, but he figured that he would be okay if he was with Lharika, and if not well he would know because he would get yelled at and what not. "What's it like having a sister?"
And here came that moment of truth where hse asked questions. A look over to the crib where the little elf was out on reverie happily enough and then he looked back to his wife. "Kelligrin took a tumble and bumped his head. Before you shriek in horror...he's just fine and you need not worry abotu him, I took care of it and he was more upset over being a mess than he was hurt."
Well...he wasn't being at all nice about things was he? But apparently Justwysper shared her sentiment when it came to the men and this all, which was enough for Piper at the moment. She was somewhat enjoying the fact as well that Rainmare was annoyed with Malik's behavior...and yes she was quite proud with him for it. "Malik has changed, by his own want and power and not by my cajoling or anything of the manner. Time is good for us elves, not only do we have a lot of it but much we can do with it as well." Pausing a moment before pulling a little bundle of cinnamon sticks and a little parchment from her pocket, holding them out for Justwysper. "That has the makes of that potion written on it. And the cinnamon...well it will settle your stomach when you take it. It can be quite hard on the body but it is effective."

"Your dad changed your bandages for you? He didn't expect you just to do it yourself?" That was another amazing thing that she now felt the need to ponder. He had an interesting family, to say the least. "Well, count yourself very lucky. Very lucky, indeed Malikhai D'vinn." Even if she didn't believe him all the way.
"Truthfully? My sister was gone when Daddy Kieran found me so I've never really lived with her on Andal, with the exception of the times she's visited. But Isle is kind of like a sister too, I suppose." All the while walking down the corridor to Malikhai's room. "It's having someone to talk to anytime you need it and someone who will do anything in the world for you just because they love you very much. It's like having a best friend, all the time."
Knocking on Malikhai's door, she pushed it open and smiled, "Hello you three. Glad to see you have your brother, Malikhai. Your mother asked me to keep an eye on you so if you need anything just come see me, alright?" Giving a nod and stepping back out into the hallway. "I take it you dont' have any siblings? Are your parents here? I'd love to meet them." Although it stood to reason that no they weren't since he was in trouble with Zahara but she wanted to hear his response.
Zahara's eyebrow shot up and she very nearly said something she probably would regret later. "He took a tumble and bled?" Head wounds bled worse than any other place on the body. Walking over to the crib, she gently reached in and felt along her youngest's head, finding the bump.
Kelligrin whimpered in his reverie and shifted, fists clenched as he began flailing. It took him some time to settle back down but he did...slowly.

Rainmare visibly stiffened.
"The nature of the beast doesn't change. it merely becomes refined. gone is the blood thirsty beast..replaced him is a colder, calculating, but no less deadly figure. you may have distilled some compassion and given him the trappings and vestige of honor. But we'll see in time how things play out."
Justwysper shook her head lightly.
"he gets like that. just ignore him."
taking the parchment adn the cinnamon.
"I am deeply grateful for your help in this matter. and he is too, wether he'll admit it or not. Is there anything else we might be able to do for you?"

"No, and I would think it would be highly impossible for me to do that for myself. And he was up before mom was today." Yup, deep conversation with his friend once he made an appearance or Malikhai could move. A look over to the door, giving a nod to Lark as apparently mom had gone out to do something...that was unsettling. But back to Kaelin. "I do I suppose...odd to hear someone say that though. Isn't that how it is in your house?"
"Oh I get it. I never had any brothers or sisters." Which some may find weird since he was indeed part drow, but well not everyone had to be the same. And he merely followed along as she checked on people. "My parents aren't here, I came to tournament by myself. I don't think you'd be able to meet them. But they're really nice."
He frowned. "Zhara don't poke at him and leave him be. He's perfectly fine and there's no need to worry. You'll only make him fussy." She always had to poke at them once they had been hurt. Even if he took care of things.
She cocked an eyebrow at Rainmare's back. "You don't make yourself a very easily likable person, you know that right?" Seemed his wife thought just the same about it to an amount. A shake of her own head and a look back to the woman across from her. "Men tend to do that...and though hard to believe you I guess I can take your word on how appreciative...rather than me bringing devil spawn to your womb." She could barb too. "Nothing else I can think of except to indeed close this matter, say things are settled and squared and there be no more heartache over this all."

"I don't have to be liked by anyone. I choose whom I wish to enjoy the company of, not the other way around."
Justwysper looked at her husband.
"Quit it. this woman is doing us a great favor and your lucky their even bothering with it, considering everything."
before turning back to Piper.
"They better be settled. I don't like it here, I prefer my forests in the Faydark, and the marble of Felwithe. So I don't expect to be dragged back here for anything so petty."
giving another look to Rainmare, who looked back but didn't say anything.
"However, since I do have this option if you'd like, I can send my husband back with you. his abilities in priestly measures are quite useful for injuries, if you'd care to use them. I understand the darker woman is your personal cleric, but I imagine, perdon my bluntness, that an underfoot diety that a tier'dal would call on for aid is as potent in healing as a goddess of growth and life."

It wasn't at all. When no one was willing to help you or you knew better than to ask, you learned to do it for yourself, starting when you were small. She'd become a pro at such things by now, but obviously saying such things was not helping her in the least. She looked thoughtful for a moment and then nodded, "Sometimes. A lot of factors go into it, though. Bonds transmit feelings and all."
"I have a few friends like that, too. No siblings, but surface elf fertility isn't an easy thing to come by, by no means." She checked in on Malik, delivering the same message and then strolled back to Mykorian's room with him. "Well, that's too bad. I would have really liked to meet them. You seem a little young for your parents to let you do this by yourself, though. Why didn't they come? They seem like they'd be supportive of you."
"Well, this would be the time that I leave. Before Mom's towel slips any further and I get a show I really don't care to see." Turning to his Dad he merely gave a self-conscious nod. "Just don't forget what we talked about, okay? Ever. And...big as the Underdark." Thus out of the room with him.
"I just wanted to see how big his bump is. I worry when my kids crack their heads open even though I know you're quite competent as a healer." She made sure her son was settling back into his reverie and then dipped into the closet, pulling on some clothes and smoothing down her hair. "How long has he been in reverie? You know if he takes too long of one now he'll never go down tonight." Frowning as her son left, "What was that about?"

Piper merely rolled her eyes and held in a chuckle as Justwysper more or less scolded her husband and rightly so. Men were so difficult sometimes. At least the woman was on her side and very right...Piper couldn't be giving them what they needed at all and holding out on them out of spite. "Glad you share my view on such things and I do imagine that you're eager to get topside again...Underdark isn't an easy place to get used to. Takes about twenty or so years before you start appreciating it." But a light shake of her head. "I doubt such an exchange could be done in civil means and I rather not poke the tigers with sticks." Besides, knowing Malik's pride that would only make him furious and antagonistic. Rainmare probably wouldn't be too nice about it either. "We have our own methods of healing and the like, dieties involved or not and Malik and his son will both be just fine in a few days time. Have healing from my own plane as well in the form of runics." Getting up and giving a little nod in respect, before a look to Rainmare's back. "I do hope the past has stopped haunting you now and you can learn to look from it."
"I suppose...everyone has their own lives on top of the family dynamic and what not." What kind of conversation was this and was it a good thing to have? He didn't know anymore. Hell the longer this went on the worse he thought he was floundering. Maybe he was right, but Kaelin was either obliging him or he wasn't right at all. She seemed in the conversation enough at least...could be the pain talking though.
And it was back to the room and back to sitting on the bed like a good boy, staying out of trouble and just being shushed. "They had things to do that they couldn't get away from. But if I needed them badly that I know how to get a hold of them. They...trust me to do things on my own." Well not really but he was winging answers here.
He chuckled, "Sounds like a good idea son." But he nodded to his son and gave a soft smile as Zahara had made her way to the closet, "Big as the underdark and beyond." Watching the boy go before turning his attention back to his wife who was now all cleaned and dressed. Thank Gods. "Just about twenty minutes or so...and we were just having a little heart to heart. He was worried about a few things." Yet it was reading quite clear in Sevilin's demanor that something very relieving had happened in that conversation.

"Yes, but each individual life means less than the family as a whole. If sacrifice is necessary for the well-being, then sacrifice must be made." Still running her fingers through Dhairiss' hair and keeping the little boy pressed close against her. "Better, Dhairiss?"
Lharika nodded, "It's always nice when you call on them just in case something happens. Not everyone can do that you know. " Going quiet for a moment as she collected her own thoughts, "Would you rather have them here, Mykorian? Just between you and me."
She did some quick calculations in her mind and reasoned that she'd let Kel reverie for another fifteen minutes or so and then she'd wake the ltitle boy up. He didn't need to be in reverie for too long or he'd never go down later that night. Moving back over beside her husband, she pushed his long hair off his shoulders and quirked a brow, "You soothed his fears, I hope. I heard him say that last part even if he was embarassed. Silly child. He's so much a child even though he's becoming an adult."
