"C'mon it's not that bad," Rin said with a small laugh, "and that would be great. I do feel kind of bad that you're buying it and letting me use it though." Rin picked up a sliver colored disk after glancing at the TMs. It should be pink, she thought to herself before taking it to the counter and paying for it. "I think this attack would be perfect for Sakura," Rin said looking at the disks with a slight smile. "So where too now Miharu?" she asked although she was secretly hoping that she would challange Bugsy.

She sat down her back against a rock that was near a small pond. "It's no good," she sighed, "I can't walk anymore. I need a break. I'm sorry Zyphyr, just a while now, I promise." She looked into the crystal clear water, looking at her reflection. She threw in a pebble causing her face to distort. Throwing forth two Pokeballs she released Sapphire and Nightmare. "Thanks for the company," she said with a smile towards her two Pokemon. Nightmare let loose a rather loud roar attracting some attention from some trainer's passing by. Mitsu declined all offers for a battle as they each left, some looking rather disappointed. Sapphire relaxed by Mitsu's side wishing that she had accepted just one of those challanges. Her stomach promptly growled and both her Pokemon gave her odd looks. "I wish I had something to eat," she said with an exhausted expression to go along with the miserable tone of her voice.

Kasiya had meant to reply to M.A.'s question, but Nightmare's earth-shaking roar caused her to jump. Sparks flared from Shocker's cheeks as she looked around for the culprit, and off in the distance, the duo could see the outline of a large, dragon-shaped Pokemon. "What's a Gyarados doing out here?" Kasiya asked, holding her hand over her eyes to keep the glare down as she tried to get a better look. "It seems very out-of place."

Jaeshan awoke the next morning, a little surprised to see that the sun was already high in the sky. He'd overslept a little, and his head felt heavy and groggy as he sat up, still holding the egg in his arms. Not paying attention to anybody but himself, and ignoring the other trainers already present in the Pokemon Center, he went about his usual morning business before he gathered up a Pokemon Center meal fit for his whole party. He felt a little empty without Butterfree in the party, and he thought about how he'd trek back to Vermilion as soon as he was fueled and ready to go. He made his way outside to find somewhere to eat his breakfast, and after finding a wooden picnic table nearby, he sat down and set everything out. He released all his Pokemon, and the four of them - Mightyena, Nidoking, Weepinbell and the little Bagon, happily joined him for a late morning meal.

"It's no big deal," Miharu shrugged. "If you want, you can borrow my HM01, as well." She went outside, decidedly fond of this small town as she found a spot to sit down. "First and foremost," she told Rin, "I'm going to teach Reflect to Tingle, and Cut to Lily." And she did just that, releasing the adorable little Bulbasaur, who appeared in a flurry of pink petals. "Show off," Miharu laughed, picking her up and proceeded to teach her the HM. "You won't be able to use that out of battle until we defeat Bugsy," she told the Pokemon, and cast a sidelong glance at the Gym nearby. "But that, I hope, will be soon." She left the little grass Pokemon out of her Poke Ball to roam free for the time being, as she prepared to let Tingle out. The Metang appeared before her, emitting a continuous humming noise. Miharu used the pink disc to teach it the defensive move, a look of thoughtfulness coming over the steel/psychic Pokemon's face.

Mary-Anne was in awe once again -- a Gyarados! Even though it wasn't too close, it looked huge to her, at least in comparison to all the Pokemon she had seen thus far. Even Daemyn looked pretty impressed; the little puppy was rarely ever intimidated by another Pokemon, despite him only standing at two feet.
"It looks like it belongs to someone," M.A. murmured in reply to Kasiya, her sharp eyes catching a figure leaning on a rock as well as another Pokemon settled by its trainer's side. The figure seemed almost felt as if it were slumping, though. . . The scene didn't feel like the entirely light-hearted break she had seen other trainers (and herself) taking on her journey. M.A. had a way of sensing these slight things, even if more obvious things could swat her in the face and go by unnoticed. I wonder if everything's alright? Maybe I'm just thinking /too/ much this time around, instead of not at all.
"Let's go to them?" M.A. suggested, though it came off as more of an unsure question. She wasn't totally accustomed to this walk-up-and-challenge-a-stranger business, so it felt queer for her to pop out of nowhere and talk to someone who might just want some alone time. But curiousity of the Pokemon as well as nagging worry urged her to go and check things out.

Nina let out a sigh as she paced around the outside of the maze. I wish he'd hurry up! she thought to herself, getting a bit antsy. This'll be my first match since the one I had with Mike... Hopefully I'm not too rusty.
The girl sighed again, crossing her arms, and pacing back and forth. "Oh!" she said aloud, "it'd probably be wise for me to set up my team. Heh. I'm most definitely not going to battle Kilik with my current team." Nina made her way over to her PC, and switched it on. She input her information and was able to access her account, depositing all of her Pokemon into a box marked TEMP. Switching to another box entitled GYM, she contemplated the Pokemon that she would use.
"All right," she said to no one in particular, "let's see. I'm absolutely going to need you." Nina pressed a couple of buttons, causing a Pokeball to pop out. She took it, and turned her gaze back to the PC. "I need... you too," she said, causing a Great Ball to come out; she took this one as well. "Last one... hmm. I know for certain one of the Pokemon that Kilik will be using, so..." Nina chose her last Pokemon, and shut off the PC.

Kasiya, standing on tiptoe, managed to catch a glimpse of the other Pokemon as well. "That looks like..." she trailed off, spotting the figure of a girl slumped up against a rock. The situation both looked and felt a little off, and deciding that instead of rushing in headlong, she'd use the safer approach. "Leg's go, Fang!" the girl said, throwing a Red and white Pokeball high into the air. The Crobat made quite an entrance, cloaked in a shower of green and gold sparkles, although he looked a little miffed by the bright sunlight. "You and Shocker go on ahead and investigate, come back right away if it isn't safe," she told the two Pokemon. Shocker gave a curt nod, leaping from Kasiya's shoulder and onto Fang's back with a single bound, and the two were off, flying overhead to get a better look at the situation from above.
"We'll follow along behind, just in case," Kasiya said, winking at M.A. Her curiosity was nagging at her more for what 'M.A.' actually stood for, mainly because she already had a good idea of who it was they were going to find. "I just hope she's alright," Kasiya said quietly, preparing to push her bike.

Rin flipped her disk betwen her fingers. "C'mon out Sakura," she said throwing the Pokeball upwards into the sky. "I've got you a little present!" She showed her the silver disk. Sakura, estatic about the gift, flittered about ready for the new move to be taught. Rin gently pressed the disk onto Sakur'a forehead until it cracked. The Butterfree chirped releasing a few pink hearts that floated around. "It suit you perfectly!" she laughed. She cast Miharu a look, "I'm sure you can beat Bugsy," she said with a slight smile.

M.A., for yet another time that day, was rather amazed at the green Crobat in front of her, with its sparkling show. They're so amazing Pokemon out there -- and trainers, too, she added, glancing over at Kasiya and smiling. The way that Fang and Shocker listened so immediately and agreeably was awesome, too; Kasiya must be a really good trainer, for her Pokemon to like and respect her so much.
"O-okay!" she grinned. The last subdued part led her to think, though, that some way or another, Kasiya knew who that mysterious trainer was. If so, I hope I don't get in the way of their meeting each other again, M.A. mused in her head, as she got ready to jog -- she didn't have a bike, but she loved running the best anyway, and was pretty quick when all said and done. It occured to her that she might want to leave if it was impolite to stay in someone's reunion with a friend, but she really wanted to check if that trainer was peachy fine. She probably was, since she was probably strong with such a mighty Gyarados -- and rarely did anyone ever say they weren't alright, every time M.A. asked -- but there wasn't any harm in checking, was there? Maybe M.A. could help out somehow, who knew.

Nightmare soon spotted the green Crobat, immediatly began to start another roar. This time, however, it was simply to catch Mitsu's attention. "What is it?" she asked the large Gyrados. She looked around not having spotted anything out of the ordinary. "I'm just resting no need to worry." Sapphire himself got up, sniffed the air then began to trot forwards until he was quite far away. He sat in front of the Raichu, tilting his head. Finally Mitsu began to see what was up. Almost literally. She waved to Fang slightly. Kasiya must be near by. I don't kow many other trainers with a green Crobat. "I swear, this is the last time I'm going to ride a Mach Bike that fast. I'll just have Karri take me everywhere," she half whined.

"Wow! Your absol is amazing!" Summer said as the trainer and his absol walked up to her. "Yep. Me and ol' black here have been with each other for a long time." He said patting the absol on the head as it looked at Summer, Lyn, Z and their pokemon with an 'I don't care' air about it. "Cool. These two are going to enter their first contest in cerulean on wednsday and I am going to enter my first contest in cerulean next week." Summer said motioning to Lyn and Z on the first part. "Cool. My name is Dante. what are yours?" He asked smiling down a them. Behind his smile though all three of the pokemon who were known for their senses and their trainers who were very perceptive could sense something odd behind it. "My name is Summer and this Pixel!" Summer said ignoring her senses. "Yo. You can call me Z and this is my nincada Shino." Z said nodding his head in Dante's direction ignoring what he sensed. "I'm Lyn. She is Amy." Lyn said with the least effort possible as she decided that what she sensed was just paranoia.

Crenu smiled as he lay down against a tree. larvitar lay next to him and Spinarak jumped ontop of his head and got comfortable. "Good work guys, I think you deserved a break..." He closed his eyes and began to doze off with his pokemon at his side.

Kilik tapped his foot in wait for his Pokeballs. He began to pace, still eyeing that boy's Lotad. Part of him wanted to steal it, go back to his ways with Team Rocket. However, he supressed the feeling and shook his head. "Any day..." he grumbled. There was finally a 'ding' and Nurse Joy came out with a cart. This cart had two levels and two trays on both levels, for a total of four trays. Kilik eyed the trays, then found which one was his. It was easy to point out because of the Rocket ball. He took the Pokeballs from their tray and clipped them onto his belt. "Thank you, Joy." The boy turned tail and exited the Pokemon Center.
The sun was still very bright against his face in Verdanturf Town. The scent was all still the same, but the fresh air would never get old. He took a deep breath before tossing a Pokeball into the air. From it emerged Elekid, who was frightened at first. It was a while before it had seen the light of day. The Pokemon scrambled up to the top of Kilik's head, where it was very comfortable and content. "Well, let's drop off Poppite, then head out into the grass for a Lombre, shall we?" he said to the electric Pokemon. It let out a cry of approval.

As Ky walked towards the Pokemon Center, dragging his training pads in the dirt, he thought about what he was going to do later in the day.
"Little Guy and I got a really good work out then, but it still isn't the same as a real battle. Little Guy still doesn't know how to defend himself and I couldn't possibly attack him myself..." Ky thought. "Well, at least I know he can attack well now, so all that's left is to find a trainer to battle." Ky still felt uneasy about actually having a battle, not wanting to do it before knowing he was fully prepared, but as of now he couldn't think of anything else to do. Ky shook his head. "First things first; Little Guy needs to get his energy back."
Ky eventually found the PokeCenter popping up from the horizon and headed towards it more quickly when it was in sight. When he walked through the sliding glass doors, he felt strange, knowing that this wasn't just a field trip; he was actually going here to heal Pokemon, his Pokemon, as a trainer. "Well hello there! How can I help you?" Nurse Joy greeted with a warm smile.
"It's my Natu..." Ky said, holding up his Pokeball. He hesitated, trying to figure out what he needed to say. "He's... tired." Ky's cheeks turned red; he didn't like sounding so rookie-ish.
"No problem," Nurse Joy said, chuckling a little at Ky's embarassment. "It'll only take a few minutes to get his energy back." She placed the ball into a round slot next to a computer. The machine started to hum as a blue light repeatedly scanned over the ball. "What's his name?" Joy asked, looking at the computer.
"His name is Little Guy." Ky answered.
"Little Guy..." Joy repeated to herself as she typed. "There we go," she said after she was done typing. "Your information is now logged into all of the Pokemon Centers in..."
"Wait," Ky interrupted. "Don't you need to know my name?"
"You're Trea's little brother aren't you, Ky?" Joy asked, pointing to the trainer's pads. Ky just blushed when he saw Joy smile again. "I figured that you would follow in her footsteps, and seeing that your class graduated not too long ago, I was expecting you to come in some time soon." The machine stopped humming and a little 'ping' sounded. Joy turned around, picked up the Pokeball, and placed in Ky's hands. "There you go," she said.
"Thank you," Ky said, amazed that it only took that long. Ky placed the Pokeball on his belt, but stood there a while, thinking. "Um... Nurse Joy?" Ky asked, a little timid.
"Yes?" Joy asked, her smile still there.
"Do you think that I'll be able to beat Falkner?" Ky was recalling the match he watched earlier, knowing that the other trainer had to pull off very powerful moves to even put a dent in Falkner's Pokemon. "It's just... I...."
Ky wasn't sure where he was going with his question, but Joy eventually said, "Ky, you'll be fine. You're a new trainer, but everyone has to be new some time. Just look at your sister. Look at those pads." Ky did, in response to her pointing. "Back then, she was doing the exact things you were doing, worrying about the same things you're worrying about now. There is no reason that you should doubt yourself," Joy finished, letting Ky absorb her words. "Now, what I suggest, is that you should go find another trainer nearby and challenge him. If I do recall, a boy who recently beat Falkner just came in here yesterday. I'm sure he's up for a little spar. If you're quick, I'm sure you'll find him training somewhere nearby," Joy said with a wink.
Ky dropped his jaw. "But... he's the one who beat..."
Joy shook her finger, "No no, that's not the attitude. Go out there and find him. You'll be glad you did."
"Um.. yeah. Yeah! I'll go! Thanks Joy! I needed that," Ky finished, sprinting out of the Pokemon Center.
"Good luck!" Joy called out, watching another new trainer leave with newfound hope.
