Truth be told i'm actually glad to see the Orks getting some new toys. I might not be an Ork player, but seeing the Imperials getting beat is a fun concept
I do like the new chopper style kit they've released

The Warkopta is an okay addition at 65 points with some good options such as big bombs and rattler kannons. The main treat of the book is the Ork Dread Mob army list, which allows you to field 18 Dreads and 15 Kans army topped off with five mega-dreads.
Also, the option for Grot tanks. Cheap, unreliable but fun to field.

Wow that sounds awesome. A little tough to play with, but the results must be fun.
When i complete my Chaos force, i'd love to put them into a battle against the Orks. See what would happen

Lady Blodwynn Lt. Brookman The main treat of the book is the Ork Dread Mob army list, which allows you to field 18 Dreads and 15 Kans army topped off with five mega-dreads. How many points would that be? As a rough estimate? Hrm, let's see now. 3360 points if you just take the most basic of weapon choices for the Dreads and keep everything else simple and cheap. Plenty of room for a Stompa for those big Apocalypse battles of 4k and beyond.

They are big. Which, in Ork terms, that means they are nastily good.

It's the points and rules that I'm curious about. A lovely model like that might be something to look into as a special project, once I'm done with old Huron. surprised

Ho-hum. The Mega-Dread.....175 points - WS4 - BS2 - S8(10) - F13 - S13 - R11 - I2 - A3
Comes with a killkannon, Rippa Klaw, two big shootas and armour plates.
Can take another big shoota, grot riggers, mega-charga (Can be used once per game, roll D6, on 1 it is immobilized, anything else it gains Fleet for that turn)
May replace killkannon with Supa-Skorcha or another rippa klaw (+1 A)
It may replace one or both big shootas with skorchas, rokkit launchas or mega-blastas.
Special rules: Ramshackle Monster: 5+ invulnerable save against all damage due to size, ablative armour and other tacked on crap
Rippa klaw: Dreadnought ccw with +1 to damage results. In cities of death games it counts as the wrecker stratagem.

Doesn't sound that bad at all.
I'd almost expect it to have two structure points, just because of the sheer size of the thing. Though the ablative armour and massive cannon arm make up for that.
Now.. grot tanks! blaugh

Hrm, okay. Grot tank......30 points per model - BS3 - F10 - S10 - R10 (type: tank)
Each tank may take one of the following weapons: big shoota, skorcha, grotzooka, rokkit launcha, kustom mega blasta.
They may also take pintle-mounted shootas, red paint.
One tank in the mob may be upgraded to kommanda status, may take a second weapon from the list above and as long as this tank is intact allows for the mob to reroll movement distance.
Special rules: Full Speed Ahead!: Tanks move 2D6" per turn, can always fire their weapons, or they can go flat-out and roll 3D6", not firing any weapons. Roll once for the entire mob. If you roll a double '1' one of the tanks suffers an automatic penetrating hit.
Rolling scrap pile: tanks have an invulnerable save of 5+ against damage except against ordnance and destroyer weapons.
The Grot Tank Battle Mob is 3-6 models large.

The official designation is "Warkopta", it weighs in at 65 points per model. Counts as a fast, open-topped skimmer BS2, F10, S10, R10 that's armed with a twin-linked Deff-gun and a nose mounted big shoota.
The big shoota may be replaced with a skorcha, rokkit launcha or kustom mega blasta.
The Deff-guns may be replaced with a tl-Rattler Kannon*
The Warkopta may also take red paint, stikkbom chukkas and up to two bigbombs
* Rattler Kannon: 24" Str 4 AP 6 Heavy 2D6, Jam!
Jam!: if you roll a double '1' for the amount of shots fired the weapon is destroyed. A mek can still fix it.
That's it, I'm punching out.

Ten models, the kit comes with resin arms so you can convert regular plastic orks into proper passengers for the warkopta.
