The usagi's insides freeze up, aside from the heart that has just leaped into his throat. He slowly looks over at the scientist. He could see right past the man's eyes, there was nothing kind or calm waiting for the usagi and kitsune there. His entire body began to tremble almost violently, his small face and innocent eyes filled with sheer horror.He starts to scoot back on the floor a little bit, a soft whimper of utter fear escaping his lips.

[no way, Miki is WAY more kawaii!!! heart ]
Ayase was about to respond when his master spoke. He jumped, his eyes wide, and stared up at his master. "M...m...master...! I...It wasn't him!" He immediately began making excuses for the usagi, his first friend. "It was all me!!" The kitsune scooted away from the bunny before hesitatingly crawling towards his master. "I made him help me! I told him I'd hurt him if he didn't!! It wasn't him!"
Just then, luckilly for Ayase, Lucien wandered in. "MIKI! You had me worried sick!! I couldn't find you anywhere!" Lucien hurried over to the bunny's side and picked him up. "You look sick, are you ok!?!?" The half-and-half began to look him over with wide eyes, praying to any and all gods that his bunny was ok.

Miki can't even look up at his Lucian or speak, only able to raise a trembling arms, his teeth still clenched in terror,weakly pointing at the scientist in the doorway.
((GAAH oh gods I'm really trembling, it's hard to type!! >.<))

Lucien looked where the bunny was pointing, aware of the usagi's terror, and his eyes narrowed. He held the boy closer to his body, as if to say, 'he's mine,' then leaned down and whispered in the bunny's ear. "I can't do anything for him, Miki...but I won't let that scientist hurt you. Ok?" He held the boy close and began to head out an alternate exit of the kitchen, away from where the scientist stood, leaving a trembling and frightened Ayase behind, hating himself for doing so.

"Wait" Miki whispered shrilly, unable to regain his voice just yet. He looked up at the half bred with pleading and pain filled eyes, tears streming from them. "He'll hurt him!!" he chocked frantically, "That man, he'll hurt Ayase even more! Please, please I can't leave Ayase!!" He sobs, tugging at Lucain's shirt with his tiny fists. "PLEASE!!"

[*giggles slightly and kisses* yup, a sign of a good story.]
Lucien hesitated, but when he saw his usagi's earnest, he nodded. "Ok, we'll go back...but if it ends up getting too dangerous, know that I can't do anything but protect you...understand?" With that, Lucien walked back into the kitchen, still holding Miki protectively in his strong arms as he stood just inside the door.

Miki squirms to be let down, almost falling once his feet touched the floor from the immense trembling. He looked up at the scientist, scared like hell, and gulps even though his mouth is dry. "P-....Please...." he stammers out shakilly, his round eyes still watering up, "H-He....he was in pain...h-he's o-only a f-few days fr-...from st-starving to death....pl-please....d-don't hurt him any....anymore... h-he loves you....y-you shouldnt be...you sh-shouldnt be h-hurting him...."

Miki's body stops trembling momentarilly, looking at the scientist with wide and schocked eyes. "Wh-what....How...how do you know my name?"

Ayase was trembling and shaking with terror, knowing that he was soon to be punished.
Lucien, hearing the scientist begin to talk to Miki, immediately moved to stand in front of the bunny, glaring at the scientist. "He's mine," the half-and-half stated forcefully, communicating that he wouldn't allow the scientist to touch the usagi.
