MercuryFalling Reading all these stories make me sad, because being trained as a band director myself, I can DEFINITELY understand where you all are coming from...Some band directors may be wonderful musicians but simply should not be teachers....Who thinks there should be more female band directors out there, ne? i think that there should be alot more

I love playing clarinet...its the only instrument ive stuck with soo far...ive played like four other instruments but none of them have really worked for me...ive been playing since fourth ... now im a frshmen .... it was my first year in the marching band and it was tons of fun.... this year was hectic tho...cuz it was our first year in 5open and we did pretty bad... after last year having won every single competition in 5a we were pretty disappointed.. the end was pretty good thoo cuz we went to an invitation only national championship in maryland...we won third place in the entire nation wich i am pretty proud of..... clarinet is my life and i hope to make it to first clarinet next year and maybe section leader senior year.... go PHS!

well for one on the BD note I do perfer female BD over male and it is quite sad to see out of all my teachers (for violin and clarinet) there were 2 feamales and and 5 male. It would be nice to even out the playing feild. With my experiences with band teachers I would rather have the female BD. Also on another note Congradulations to you 3rd place ranking Plasmagorical I am also a freshman and It seems nice that youcould do something like that for your freshman year. Though my band didn't even make it to state T.T yes well we have a band trip coming up and we're going to play at seaworld so I can't wait for that cause it's going to be sooo much fun

My records say that someone whose name shall remain anonymous assigned me to...errr, wait. FORGET I SAID ANYTHING! scream domokun evil Actually, I've been too busy to do much of anything. Model UN. xp Sometimes it's fun, other times it's pure hell. Especially when you forget to say you're not yielding to questions at the beginning of your speech and wind up getting grilled by thirty other people. gonk But Ireland's delegate is a snare for the Bluecoats, and he had his sticks in his backpack. xd It was funny when he started drumming on the table and no one cared except for some guy on the other side of the room who walked over and told him to stop. lol But I just got back from Solo and Ensemble, and I made a II on my solo and a I in clarinet choir! blaugh Clari choir's going to state for t3h 1st t1m3 3v3r! 3nodding I had a few memory lapses on my solo, but those were the parts I had issues memorizing, so I already know what to improve.
