((And now with visial representation, Aw yaaa~))Heterochromatic eyes lingered on Nuk and his unhinged jaw before twitching back to Freya's departing figure, then back once again as the skinwalker snapped his teeth together. With how friendly the ghoul had been acting, Nergui would have easily assumed the two were friends, but with the boil's assurance that he did not, no wonder he seemed so distracted by the valkyrie's odd behavior. Perhaps she was simply always so touchy feely? The horsewoman suppressed a slight cringe at the thought. She wasn't opposed to touch, persay, but as a general rule you had to be invited into Neru's personal bubble. Strangers, specifically strange ones, were not welcome. Her internal musing came to a halt at the word date and she snapped her head around to blink at the petite undead ghoul before those luminous eyes flicked up to the skinwalker beside her. She could see his struggle to find an appropriate, and accurate, answer, and after an only slightly wobbly start he gave a rather political answer. She couldn't help but smile, one dark hand lifting to press the bend of a knuckle against her lips. "We've only just met, so you couldn't really say this is a date." There, that was honest, and left plenty of room should they decide they wanted to see each other again. Did they? If he asked her, the priestess wouldn't say no. The soft smile faded around the edges as Amrita requested a dance, and Neru could really only offer a nod for an answer. As they'd both just stated, they weren't on a date. Still, that didn't mean Neru had to like the other ghoul stealing away the skinwalker, if only for a few moments. The flesh pinched along the bridge of the ghoul's nose before she gave a very faint shake of her head and she when she looked back towards the duo she was all smiles. "Go ahead, but I would like the next dance." Within that insanity addled mind of her's the voices were starting to grow louder. Never enough to be understood, but she could hear the endless stream of hushed voices. It wasn't so much the words, it was the tones with which the voices spoke in. Disapproving, taunting, accusing. Neru fought to hold onto her smile and won, letting her shoulders fall back to lean against the wall again. She hopped the song was a short one. Nukpana provided an excellent distraction from the whispers. Then again, so did a hunchback brandishing an ax at a fleeing gnome... What in the world...?

At the sudden explosion of chandelier on the dance floor, it was all Enzo could do to leap out of the way. As a second thought, he reached to grab his date and belatedly pull her out of the way of the wreckage as well, if only for appearances. "Shiiiiiiiit! The hell was that all about?" Shoddy craftsmanship, by the looks of things. "Anyone hurt?" Besides the hunchback, but undead hardly counted when it came to those things. Nor did gnomes.

Alright, she had definitely crammed enough emotion into an hour. Candlejack, it was like a rollercoaster, how did anyone deal with the rapidly shifting moods? She'd never had any kind of trouble before, and surely she would relax into it after time. It was just very new. Like Mot, recent change had shaken her-- unlike Mot, it had less to do with others and more to do with internal issues. She'd be fine so long as she remembered to keep calm, and reassess everything with a level head.
It was just hard to remember to do that when she was freaking out, sometimes. Happy, relief... she wasn't sure which one. Being told she'd have to pay for mistakes was rather ominous, but... after all, everything had a cost. You could do what you liked, for a cost.
"Ew, a private problem-- yeah, I won't touch that," she said, wrinkling her nose again. She was kidding, of course, but... only partially. She was definitely not in it to pry. Especially since given her skill level with others at the moment, it would be akin to giving an extremely oversized, not mini levathia a key to a far-too-small china shop. "You know what? I actually do! Mac helped me pick one out," she said, digging it out of her vest. The only place she could keep such a thing, given how tight the vest was, and the fact it was backless... Anyway. She slid it open and attempted to remember how to enter contact information.
Having failed that, she remembered Mac, or maybe it was the boil at the store, had recommended she set up a little document with her phone number in it (because she kept forgetting what it was, and how to find it). So she pulled that up and showed Mot. "I think this is my number?? Oh, and my name. And ... you know what, I don't even know what the third line there is, come to think of it. I'm sure it's something rude that they saved as a joke."
Amarus sighed, and peered at the screen. This was exciting! It was the first time she'd actually had an eyePhone to use to keep in touch. Before, she pretty much just wandered around outside all the time not working, until she spied someone she knew. Or a stranger to bother. That was also acceptable.
She didn't have a lot of time to celebrate, however-- suddenly, no more music. Equally suddenly, chandelier explosion. "Candlejack," was all Amarus had to say, shielding her head with her arms and ducking out of habit. She made herself intangible as much as she could for a moment. "Mot, are you okay?! What just happened, did you see?"
She wasn't actually sure if Mot was still there, actually. She uncovered her head, certain the worst of the damage was done, and rendered herself tangible once more.

Ren gave LW a Look.
"Yes," he deadpanned, as he wrapped his arms around her, and pulled her close, grinning devilishly. "I'm absolutely, madly in love with Tybalt and I just can't seem to stay away from him, and I just want to be with him all the time - no, you nitwit, I don't love Tybalt and you know it."
He knew, of course, that she was just joking, which just made it all the more fun. Ren's wings flapped again as he lifted them, wrapping them around the two of them to form a sort of cocoon around them, shielding LW from the rest of the crowds as he leaned close, his mouth against her ear.
"One day we'll dance to a different kind of music," he whispered, and smiled, kissing her temple. There was no doubt in his mind that he and LW would be together for as long as he could make it last - hopefully forever - and that forever would be filled with everything he could.
"PS, I love you."
There was a sudden commotion going on from - somewhere - and Ren glanced around, not really paying that much attention to the fact that there seemed to be someone hanging from the chandelier (was that Christof?), or that the music had stopped.
Ren turned back to LW. "What do you say we get out of here and have our own party?" he asked with a grin, and grabbed her wrist, tugging LW towards the doorway. He was almost there when he caught a flash of red - and screeched to a sudden stop.
"Except one second."
His arm snagged around the neck of one familiar puppy, who Ren proceeded to drag towards a certain photobooth.
"Come on, little brother, time to get our pictures taken."
[ exit ]------------------------------------------------------------ He followed her back into the main ballroom, of course. How could he not? But Mengyao's mind was not focused on finding Charlie, or even finding Tahki (which it should have been). Instead he was still attempting to sort through his muddled thoughts, figure out what the Jack he had just done.
He had kissed Lifen. Lifen. His best friend, the one person who had remained consistently by his side for the past who-knew-how-many years. She was undoubtedly someone whom he would have given his life for to protect, and he treasured their friendship, but this...this was...
...he didn't know what. He didn't know anything, other than the fact that while kissing Lifen had felt...nice, in many ways, he could not afford to screw up the one friendship he had so carefully built and taken care of all this time.
Mengyao's thoughts rampaged through his head, almost missing the fact that Lifen had found not only Charlie, but also Tahki. Pressing his lips together, he gave the gryphon a small nod, trying to keep the calm facade in place.
"Are you well, Tahki?" he asked her quietly.

Jericho paused as he heard some shouting. Oh. It was time for the murder mystery to... OH WHAT THE JACK? Now there was glass all over the floor. That... that wasn't a part of the plan!
Staring at the mess, he just sighed while Christof ended things. Shaking his head, he looked around for the nearest gnome.
"Get this cleaned!" he snarled. All the glass around.. someone was bound to get cut!

Mot looked the screen over, getting out his own phone and dialing in the contact information. Just for ease, he took up hers and put in his number for her before giving it back. And then chaos. Mot watched the scene unfold with mild discomfort. Why was Christof after that gnome? Moreover, why did they think the chandelier could hold them? Instinctively he reached out to block the shattering glass from hitting Amarus, realizing afterward she'd made herself intangible. "I'm okay." He murmured, looking her over and them himself. "That was uh... interesting. Reckless." He scowled somewhat at the fallen Igor and gnome before turning his attention back to his friend. "Let's um.. stand clear while someone cleans up." He held her arm and lead her away from the center of the dance floor, more toward the refreshments table.

While waiting to see what Mitsu wanted to do, Shun turned around when he heard the loud crash of the chandelair coming down. He frowned. But couldn't comment as he soon sneezed rather suddenly.

“ Oh? Still stuck on past topics, are we, Riyo?” Hel echoed shrilly. “ Shun did not say anything demeaning about you, nor did he address you as a petty little b***h either, though that is how you are acting right now—“ She paused, getting her breath. “ You do not need to be a defender of justice, Riyo, but you should ******** stand up for your friend when she is being bullied! Even if you were not the one saying anything to her, you are just as guilty for standing there and doing nothing. Mitsu was there for you when you were having a panic attack about wearing a jack damn dress, do not forget that. She came when you called and she sat outside the bathroom door for a half an hour faithfully waiting on your a**.” At the cat demoness’ next words…Hel looked like she had been slapped. She pulled back a bit from her, but didn’t get too far since Riyo had a hold of her clothes. She looked like she was about to snap back a reply, but the loud crashing of the chandelier startled her. It was a rather odd reaction, considering they had been fighting just seconds prior, but Hel ended up throwing her arms around the cat demoness, trying to shield her from any potential shard projectiles. Only after the sound died down did she dare to peek over her shoulder…and since all seemed clear, she released the ghoul quietly, and pushed her hand off of the front of her dress. The heated edge left Hel’s eyes, and she was just sad now. “… You know what? I am sorry. I am sorry I had higher expectations of you, and you failed to meet them. That statement tells me you do not care or place stock in what your friends think of you, and that saddens me. It saddens me that you could not swallow some of that pride for Mitsu. Have a good evening with your date, Riyo, because Shun was right about this. You two are perfect for each other. Send me a wedding invitation, ya? I may not like Titus, but I would be there for you.” Now done, Hel spun on her heel and left the table, not before smacking the back of Titus’ head though.

Shaheen could not for the life of her figure out why this girl looked so amused. This was a very serious situation! She had to remind herself that she was dealing with nothing more then a scareling several times so as to keep herself calm and not snap on her as she might have another horseman. "If you have not yet met how is he meant to find you?" Shaheen asked, curious as this new revelation of Mitzi's date came to light. It was a momentary distraction from her own distress (if it could even be called that. Honestly, she was actually kind of hoping that Shik did indeed ditch her and leave so that she could leave as well and also have an excuse to tear into him later). But apparently her question must have been a foolish one, as some boy now approached the two of them. She shifted a little on her feet, gaze turning to settle on him as her arms came up to cross over her chest. her wings stretching out away from her back ever so slightly as she almost seemed to gain a couple of inches in height, probably because she had raised her shoulders and tilted up her head ever so slightly. She gave this newcomer a very openly critical look, looking down on him, judging him by his build, his look, and whether or not he made any small, fidgeting motions. She caught everything with that gaze. Needless to say, she was not overly impressed, and thought that he could stand to do a little bit of working out, but she decided to keep these thoughts to her self. Who was she to stand in the way of young love and their courting rituals by being overly judgemental? And she had only just met this Mitzi, and knew very little about her. Perhaps she preferred her dates to be a little on the scrawny side. Shaheen gave the boy a return nod, her narrowed amber gaze still burning into him. Belatedly, she realized that perhaps she aught to say something, a compliment, perhaps? Like Shaheen even knew how to compliment anybody about anything other then fighting style! "I am Shaheen." She finally said, her eyes finally shifting to take in both of the students now. "You are both of similar height. That will perhaps make certain things easier and more enjoyable for you both." She didn't get specific about what things she actually meant, though the sudden smirk on her face probably spoke volumes. "Now then, there are three of us, so the territories can be made smaller.." Oh yes, she was back to talking about the seek and destroy search and rescue(?) for her MIA date. Chryses had also now been recruited, whether he wanted to, or whether he knew what the hell was going on or not. ...A sudden commotion drew her attention, and Shaheen watched as the events with the igor and the gnome unfolded. "I knew it.." She muttered.

Titus didn't seem phased by the finger to the face nor did he put much merit in the argument between the two ghouls. If anything he watched with profound interest propping an elbow up on the table top. Here and there he offered encouraging words to help the argument along though finally turned to Lou when it seemed that the heated cat fight wasn't going to go too far. " You think they'll make out?" He asked in a bored tone. " It's about all I'm hoping for at the moment." If it wasn't obvious Titus wasn't sorry about what he said though he was rather interested in Hel's reaction to the news. His eyes had a sort of gleam to them as she stormed off paying the chandelier little to no mind. " Looks like your friend is rather pushy." Titus emphasized the word friend as if the word itself was a joke.

The music change was not lost on Junko. She was well aware of the finale of their little murder mystery approaching; she knew Christof had been the perfect choice to play their murderer. He was efficient, and he clearly enjoyed pretending to kill them..maybe a little too much. No matter. It was fine. Christof did his job well, as always. Junko was pleased with his performance tonight from the lights to the pretend-murders. What Junko hadn't been expecting was the loud crash of the chandelier falling from the ceiling. It was impossible to miss, it'd collapsed onto the dance-floor after all. She'd rushed over to the messed up chandelier, picking up the skirt of her dress to daintily step around shattered pieces of glass and candle until she was able to find Christof in the mess. "Christof?! Christof, are you all right? Christof, buddy?" She reached down to help him up if he needed it, eyes wide. The chandelier could wait, she needed to be sure Christof was okay.

The chandelier coming from above was quite the surprise. Enough so that Mitsu had jumped a fair distance off the ground and was clinging to Shun for dear life. She sensed danger. " W..what happened?!"

Mjoll had slowly been stepping back when she saw the Igor swinging an axe. It was kinda hard not to notice when the little gnome was screaming bloody murder. When Enzo grabbed her Mjoll jumped, "Oi."
"You scared the bloody hell out of me." She hissed arms folded as she watched the scene. "Honestly, who lets Igors run around with Sharp objects?" She her eyes were narrowed at Christof.
"I'm fine." She added, "No thanks to you." Pointing out the fact he pulled her away just about after the thing had finished falling. "Pity, it was a pretty fixture."
She was looking at the pieces that had shattered away, picking up a few, "Whoever made this was decent at their craft." She mused looking at the pieces. Her eyes moved back over to Enzo, "What kind of food do you normally serve at these things?"

Malodore recoiled at the sudden crash, ending up with its wings flared around it like a protective barrier. Slowly, it peeked out at the crystalline carnage... merde. Riley?? it projected, silently, folding its wings behind it as it rose back up to its full height, craning its neck to see better. "Christof, are you-" it called out as well, taking a step forward. "Is anyone hurt?"

Mitsu was suddenly clinging onto him for dear life. Shun stumbled back a step or two, but thankfully did not fall over. "The chandelair came down," he murmured while staring at the mess. It was probably a good thing they weren't on the dance floor right then and there. Carefully, he tried to pry her off of his back so he could look her over. "You aren't hurt are you?"
