I continue to watch the river and the area around it.

Anima: There do not appear to be any flying creatures in the area. In terms of advantageous terrain, there doesn't seem to be any that the native creatures could possibly use unless they someone manage to have methods of long range combat that would allow them to take advantage of the forest or perhaps the high ground provided by the hills scattered throughout the plain. However, you get a sneaking feeling that the river is the most likely place for you to be attacked from.
Everyone except Yumi: Another 10 minutes passes by uneventfully.
Yumi: After 10 minutes, you think you notice something move in the water. The currents are very obfuscating, but after staring intently at the water for a few seconds, you think you see a shadow moving about, though you can't tell how big it is or what exactly it could even be.

"Hey, guys," I say over the com, "I think I see something in the river." I get down on all fours to get closer to the water.

"Anima, give Yumi support," I state, and continue my guard duty.

"Yumi, IS it something you and Anima can handle?"She was worried about Her friends, she had confidence in there skills but, the creatures on this planet had odd abilities and hidden powers that no one could really predict..

"Roger!" I say, flying over to assist Yumi. "Umm, stay out of the water, though, alright? I'm sure we all know how water and electricity act together..."

"I don't know if we can or cannot do anything," I say to Kristina. "I can't even tell if anything's really there. I thought I saw a shadow down there."

Anima and Yumi: Through some breaks in the river's currents, you can make out that there are actually multiple creatures in the river instead of one big one. The water is clear enough that you can make out 3 distinct species of fish and 1 species that appears to be amphibious.

"Not nessisarily, a wise warrior never underestimates a potential foe! I've had my party roughed up by fish and amphibians before! They can be tougher then they seem!" I say over the intercom.

"All right, then let's keep an eye on them," I say. I stand up, but remain close to the river.

Anima and Yumi: The scene in the river is fairly peaceful with the various creatures just swimming around for the most part. The fish seem very similar to fish on earth aside from some very vibrant colors. The amphibious species that you spotted is more interesting, with an anatomy involving the body structure of a fish with a set of 4 single-jointed limbs. On the end of each of its limbs are a fin and a small 4-fingered hand (lacking a thumb) which it keeps clenched in a fist as it swims along.
Solomon: From the corner of your eye, you think you see something come out from the edge of the forest.

I look over to the area it appears the shadow was headed, and check my scanners for movement as well. "Movement in the forest, Anima scout it out," I state over the radio.

"Roger!" I say to Solomon before flying off to the forest to scout it. Solomon loves making me move round... guess it's the price of wings, not that I mind it, of course!
