"Of course," Lin murmured switching into common elvish.

She set Andarien in her lap hoping that not being held would make him a bit more patient.

"I shouldn't stay long though, I still need to bring breakfast to Earendil and Miyuki and see how the two are doing. Miyuki was helping him with his shirt the last time I checked.

Alassëa's head tilted in the women's direction when they switched languages, but other than that she showed no response to what they were saying.

Alena nodded at Lin. "How is he taking it?" she asked quietly. "The fact that he can't use his arm, I mean?"

"It's a bit frustrating for him, not just because he can't do things without help but that's his dominated arm so even when it's to touch me or Miyuki his first reaction is to do so with that arm first."

And then realizing he can't, which was not helping matters.

"It's going to be a long trip for him."

Alena nodded sadly, watching Alassëa as the blind woman began to rub her arm slowly.

"With all of us out here, so many of us being elves," she murmured, "it's surprising that not one of us has the ability to heal. Especially as Celeb and Leyenda's mother has the ability. For neither of them to inherit it ..."

It was a bit confusing to her; but then, magic sometimes didn't seem to follow any set rules, especially hereditary magics.

"And we didn't bring much by way of medical supplies, either," she added with a frown. "Though how we could have overlooked such an important thing, I do not know."

"I have my own supplies, but not enough for everyone," Lin admitted, "I'm actually tempted to ask if someone could fly Earendil to the nearest elven town to see if they have a healer. Riding is not going to help his arm at all and I'm kind of worried he'll do something or force himself to do something that isn't good for him..."

Earendil was perhaps a bit stubborn, but he was normally the one looking after her and the children.

"That would not surprise me," Alena admitted with a soft laugh. "Though if he is in a wagon, or if he is walking, he should be fine. Only atop a horse I think he would perhaps injure himself further."

She paused thoughtfully, closing her eyes. "As for towns ... to be honest, I don't know where we are in comparison to other places. Earendil would be the best person to ask about that, or perhaps Halmir and Arthael. They would know the best where a good healer is, too."

Lin nodded at this, she should ask, he was going to have to work on that arm after it heals anyways and that period would be even longer if one included all that time he didn't use the arm at all.

"Halmir and Arthael probably would know best, you're right... even Dareon would."

Since Dareon had traveled all over before becoming a fighter in Haven.

"Very true," Alena laughed. "Yes, I had forgotten. But whatever you decide to do, I think most of us will be staying here until we can figure out if Alassëa will be coming with us or not. I don't know about the others, but I would feel terrible leaving her here without knowing for sure if she wanted to stay or be with others."

Alassëa looked in their direction again when she heard her name, and her lips moved slowly.

Lin nodded, "If a few of us fly maybe we even can bring back proper medical supplies. That way we don't get blindsided like this again."

It was true, and a wonder why they hadn't thought of it before, but then again it was probably the first time in a long while they had traveled without a person with the healing gift.

"Take as much time as needed to figure out, I mean even if this place had been the idea location to live, it must be lonely."

Alena nodded back. "Yes. And as for you - wait until after the storm to go anywhere, if you do go. Traveling in the rain will not help matters any, even if you do manage to see a healer. Especially for Andarien."

She looked down at the boy. "He is different than we are. We do not know in how many ways yet. It is best to keep him warm and dry - and I cannot imagine that you and Earendil would be willing to go anywhere far away without him."

Lin nodded at this, "Yes, we'll still have to wait a while, and Andarien is still too young to be far away from us."

She wasn't sure how Miyuki would take it though, she hoped that Miyuki would be okay, but she knew that her daughter sometimes had clinging issues.

"Far," a soft voice murmured from the far side of the tent.

Alena looked sharply over at Alassëa, who had been the one to speak. "Far?" she repeated, wondering if the woman had simply been mimicking Lin or if she was actually trying to say something.

"Is something far?" Lin murmured.

That or Alassea was repeating after her, which was quite possible. Lin glanced at Alena wondering if the young woman really had something or was just repeating.

Alena shrugged one shoulder at Lin, then looked back at the blind woman.

Alassëa looked as if she was concentrating hard, and her lips continued to move quickly as if it had been habit, while she had been living alone, to talk to herself silently. If it had been, Alena realized, then the woman might be quite capable of speaking better than they had expected.

The young woman frowned softly, then tried again. "F-far ... h-ho ... m ... n ... nn ... hh ... harr ... mm ... arr ... m ..."

Alena's own lips were moving as she tried to piece together what the woman might be saying. "Far ... home ... arm?" she guessed.

Not that it made any sense to her.

Lin looked thoughtful, "Harm?"

No... that didn't make sense to her neither.

"Something about far home?"

It was understandable until the last word.
