[Honeypaw blinked, his eyes wide when he heard Purepaw's response. Of course the small she-cat didn't know that Birchshadow was in StarClan yet, but nonetheless, he tried to smile, awkwardly.]
“Yeah, I hope so,” [He meowed, his voice strained with pain, but hope as well. He sighed, shaking his head.] “It's almost time for me and Hauntedheart to leave...And I'm not even allowed to leave this den until she says so. I don't even think she'll allow me to accompany her...”
[He muttered under his breath, a hint of anger clearly present in both his voice and eyes.]_____________________

[Shatteredfang sighed shakily.] "I-I'm not sure about that," she whispered nervously.
[She was suddenly whisked to a simpler time.]
Littlepaw bounced up and down excitedly as her mother told her exciting news. "Yay, we have new kits!" she squealed. She looked around Redpaw to see the newest kits. One was a silver tabby she-kit with dark gray ears, one was solid black, another one was a light gray tabby, and the last one was black with big blue eyes. She stood in awe. "Whose are they?"
Her mother sighed. "They're half-clan kits. Half StormClan, half NightClan."
Littlepaw gasped. "But that's against the warrior code!" she hissed worriedly. She shrugged the thought away, padding toward the kits. She prodded the small silver tabby with dark gray ears. It squealed, trying to bite at her. She hissed, drawing back. "She bit me!" she squeaked, licking her nose in distaste. She sighed. "What's their names?
Her mother sighed. "The black one with yellow eyes is named Cinderkit, the silver tabby is named Birchkit, and the other black one is named Larchkit."
"And the last one?"
"We can't decide. I wanted to name that one Cinderkit, but we just don't know."
Littlepaw shrugged. "Me either," she meowed.
Shatteredfang was whisked back to her own time. She sighed, remembering when the StormClan patrol came into camp, ordering to have the kits after the gathering that some apprentice blabbed at. The looks of accusation on their faces made her shudder. She heaved another sigh, trying to remember the name of the last kit, who went to StormClan...Cinderstreak, wasn't it?
Her thoughts were halted when she saw Foxfur bantering out of camp. Her ears flattened. He looked somewhat upset. For the first time, she felt sorry for the deputy.
She sighed. "I should go see what's up with him," she meowed, padding quickly after him.
She finally caught sight of him soon later. She sighed, calling out to him. "Foxfur, are you okay?" she asked

DARKSHADOW Do you hear me?
I'm talking to you.
Across the water.
Across the deep, blue, ocean.
Under the open sky.
Oh my, oh baby I'm trying. ((If Shatteredfang died Darkshadow would kill himself! :O His evil days are way over. Ohh maybe he's a Nightclan cat but he never knew.))
[Darkshadow watched Shatteredfang go. He figured she would be safe without him. She was with Foxfur, of course. He looked back at Birchshadow's body. The she-cat didn't deserve to die.]"Those cruel twolegs. How dare they take away a fine warrior from us..."[He said quietly.]"Every time they set up a trap they have prey and their just waiting for us to pick it up.. And when we come, it snaps. What if the prey triggers the traps?"[Darkshadow was trying to think of a plan to get rid of the twolegs and their traps.] I hear you, in my dreams.

[Tigerfang saw that Purepaw was busy, and since Birchshadow's death was still fresh, she'd let the she-cat be.]
[She padded silently back to her corner, licking one of her massive paws casually while thoughts made their way through her head.]
I can't believe Lavenderrain entrusted me of all cats with her own daughter! Me! Honestly, I know I'm a good warrior but...StarClan...I'm not good with cats...let alone a cat as young as Purepaw. But she's special...there's something about her...I just don't know...
[She shook her pelt restlessly and laid down, but knew she couldn't go to sleep. Not without all of those worrying thoughts buzzing around in her head like angry bees.]

Foxfur
[Foxfur whipped around, a slight snarl on his lips. He relaxed slightly when he saw it was Shatteredfang, but his ears remained flat. Normally, the she-cat wouldn't give a minute of her day to find out if he was feeling ok]
"Why do you ask, Shatteredfang? Feeling sentimental all of a sudden?"he growled.
[Foxfur turned and padded off, nose down, sniffing the ground. He wasn't going to let it happen to another one of his warriors. Your warriors? Well..yes, my warriors. Whoa-ho-ho. You're still only deputy. Yes, but I'll be leader someday, right? Not unless you die before Lavenderrain does...
Foxfur shook his head and continued sniffing around. Some of the traps he knew he had sprung were fixed again, prices of prey right infront of them. Foxfur snarled and grabbed a stick, springing it like he had done to all the others. It sprang free and hr sniffed the prey. It had the slightest trace of crowfood coming from it. The twolegs were baiting something. He padded deeper into the territory, and was shocked. All of the traps had been unsprung, and he could smell foxes! He sniffed around and came across a pile of fox dung, screwing up his nose in disgust. There had been foxes on his territory! Foxfur turned and sprung all the traps again, before running back to camp, spotting Lavenderrain and pelting up to her]
"Lavenderrain! I've got news!"

[Richpaw wandered around camp, still looking for Eaglesoar. Richpaw wanted to train, he didn't want to sit there and do nothing. Richpaw began to walk around in circles looking for Purepaw. If he couldn't find Eaglesoar then he would talk to Purepaw and ask if she wuld train with him a little.]

"The sky took her away? What?"
[Even the usually quick minded Eaglesoar could only stare at the strange kit blankly, his tail twitching in confusion.]
The wind blew her mother away?! I give up, I'll never understand these kits' minds.
[Eaglesoar sighed to himself, debating with himself inside his head. His loyalty to the warrior code firmly told him that he had to hunt for his clan before anything else...but the piles of skin and bones in front of him clearly needed his hard earned prey more than his reasonably well fed clan. After a furious battle with himself, Eaglesoar sighed to himself and nudged his mouse towards the two kits, while giving himself a mental slap.]
"Here, take it, you guys need it more than I do. And..."
[He paused to take a breath, wondering if he was doing the right thing - and whether or not Lavenderrain would claw his ears out when he got back.]
"Kits like you would die within two days out here in the forest...how would you like to come with me, where there's plenty of food and queens to take care of you?"
Please tell me this is a good decision...I need to show Lavenderrain that I'm good enough to take on an apprentice! --------------------------------------------------x x x "xxsoaring through the sky

[Shatteredfang felt her sympathy melt away all of the sudden. She let out a low growl, starting to pad after him, but stopped. She wouldn't even bother.
With a sad sigh, she padded back to camp. She would have to notify Lavenderrain on her change in positions. She entered the nursery, glancing inside. Her eyes flitted over Leopardstorm's new kits. Her belly suddenly felt much heavier. She sighed shakily, turning her eyes to Lavenderrain.] "After the Vigil for Birchshadow, I'm going to have to start thinking about moving my nest in here," she meowed, smiling slightly.

He got into a hunting position and pounced on the mouse, killing it. Darkshadow picked up the mouse and buried it.]"Might as well catch some more.."[He said to himself. He saw a dead rabbit laying on the ground. He took a stick and threw it. Something snapped.]"Fox trap.. It already snapped, but.. What it there are other ones."[Darkshadow looked around for shining things. Nothing was around him. He heard some noise. A vole. Darkshadow crept up on the vole an pounced on it. Killing another piece of prey.]"I think that's enough.."[Darkshadow went to the place where he buried the mouse and picked it up. He walked back to camp and dropped the mouse and vole into the fresh-kill pile. Darkshadow thought for a second.]"What if my kits don't like me because I'm a prisoner? What if they hate me?" I hear you, in my dreams.

(( too lazy to retrieve lavenderrain post. ;p ))
[Lavenderrain's ears pricked from the nursery.
A commotion could be heard outside.
She was about to dash into the clearing but Shatteredfang stopped her for a moment.]
"Vigil? Oh no.." Lavenderrain mewed with terror.
[As she skidded into the clearing, she saw Birchshadow's body and she felt her world almost tumbling away.
But Lavenderrain tried to be strong.]
"My warrior, what fate had befallen you? Now you walk the skies of Starclan and I send you all my appreciation for serving in Nightclan." she mewed with sadness as she touched her nose to Birchshadow's head.
[Lavenderrain swayed away from the body to sit in front of Foxfur.
Her eyes were glazed over as she looked up at him.]
"What happened. That is my only question to you." she mewed in a quiet, hoarse voice.
[She was visibly shaking but with sadness or anger, no one will truly know.
Her claws dug deep into the ground and her eyes were distant.
As if she was seeing something that no one else could.]
I killed her. I've failed as a leader. How can I protect my clan now? Birchshadow's death will haunt me. she thought.
[Eyes hardening, she glanced up at Foxfur with pure determination in her eyes.]
"I will not be attending Birchshadow's Vigil tonight. For I will be receiving my leader name at the Moonpool with Hauntedheart and Honeypaw. I cannot stay with her now but I hope to see her happily walking the skies of Starclan for she has served us well." Lavenderrain mewed, voice quavering at the end of her speech.
[Padding back to the body she rested her nose on it once more as an apology for not being able to attend.
Padding away, Lavenderrain went to go see Hauntedheart or at least Honeypaw.]
"Honeypaw! Hauntedheart! Areyou here? I'd just like to say I'm accompanying you to the Moonpool tonight. Hello?" she called walking into the medicine cat's den.

Her orbs scanned the camp, her tassle twitching. ShadowSong Bent down to smell the terra as the scent of soil and worms filled her nares. Her pitch fur ruffled in the breeze and her eyes were alert. Thinking out loud, she whispered the words: "Time and time again.."

[Shatteredfang padded out of the nursery and over to Lavenderrain, hearing the last bit of her conversation with Foxfur. She blinked, anger dulling her senses.] "Won't be attending?" she echoed quietly. She glared at Lavenderrain, rage now seething through her. "One of your warriors are dead, and all you can think of is getting eight other lives?" She growled, enraged. [She hissed inwardly, not saying another word. She stalked away from her new leader, and over to Birchshadow. Blood still matted the fur around the she-cat's neck. She quickly set to work on cleaning the mess up. She wouldn't let her clanmate go to StarClan messy. And then she'd bury her at dawn. With or without her Clanmates.
She sighed, smiling slightly.] "I remember when you and Cinderwing, and Larchkit and Cinderstreak were brought here. You all looked so pitifully small," she whispered, feeling tears beginning to streak the fur on her face.

[Lavenderrain heard the absolute anger resonating from Shatteredfang's voice.
She stood there with her head bowed but on the inside she was burning with shame, regret and anger.
She took the words with a solemnity but she looked up at Shatteredfang with defeated eyes.]
"Shatteredfang, please don't do this to me. You don't know how much I want to be there with her but I can't. I killed her, don't you think I know that? I wasn't there to watch over her as she died. Don't you think I wished with all my heart that I could've saved her? Even if it took away my life? I have to be strong though. I'm not getting these lives because I want to but because I was chosen. What else am I to do? I don't know how you can think that all I want is to get eight other lives because I'm slowly being teared apart by guilt." she said with eyes glowing with sadness.
"I wouldn't wish this role upon any of your lives.." she said looking around.
