Good night.
After his workout, his was fully awake now. Day had come, he could feel it, even this far underground. He walked back into the living room and pulled on his boots over the cloth foot wrappings. He buckled on his rapiers and slid his jacket on. He needed top check the climbing surface.
He walked over near the fireplace, pushing on a darkened stone. It moved back and a door swung open slowly. He walked through and looked up at the vertical surface. The hand holds were still there and the rest areas were still fine. Yume would probably have some trouble.
He pulled at ropes gently, checking to see if they were still strong. The one rope felt weak but the other two were fine. Even so, he may still carry Yume to the top.

Yume lay in the bed, hoping to get some sleep before the climb. Unfortunately, she couldn't get a wink of sleep. She sighed and put on a new pair of clothes and walked outside. Pander, I can't sleep, so shall we start climbing now? She put on her gloves and pulled her hair back into a ponytail so that it wouldn't get in the way.

Sure. Just take it easy ok. You don't want to pass out while climbing this thing.
He pulled on the broken rope, breaking it out of it's track. It coiled at his feet neatly. He grabbed the next rope and made a fancy knot. He handed the rope to Yume.
Wrap that around your waist. Make sure to tighten it too.
He did the same to the next rope then slipped it around his own waist. He walked to the door with a small bit of trouble and closed the large stone door. He walked back to the wall, placing his foot on a foot hold and sliding his right hand into a small crevase in the wall.
Lets get going.

Yume followed his instructions. She did as he did, and soon, she could tell that they were nearing the top. She stopped for a little while and caught her breath. What will we do when we reach the village? She thought back to her decision. Did she want to marry Pander? Of course she did. There was no hesitation. He was kind, caring, funny, good at almost everything, and he made her feel needed...

Collect some things of mine, talk to family, maybe get married if you'd accept me.
He shrugged as if none of it really mattered. Frankly, it didn't. He just wanted to be with Yume. Even if she said no to marrying him, he would still hang around unless she told him to get lost.
They really were close to the top. They had been climbing so steadily that he hadn't realized the passage of time. Pander looked down at Yume then up at the shaft of light the marked the top of the vertical climb.

Of course I'll accept you...why wouldn't I? Yume looked up at him, smiling widely. There's no reason for me to not accept you... If there were any person that I could spend the rest of my life with, it would be him...definently.

I'm glad... And I don't know why. I only put it in as an after thought more than anything.
He climbed down to where Yume was resting and kissed her gently. He smiled then began to pull himself back up the vertical wall of stone. They were only meters from the top. Pander could already hear the bustling of the small village and the dripping of their water supply.

Yume climbed a little faster, keeping up with Pander. She could hear the trickling too...her anticipation grew as she could hear the bustling of busy people. She wondered what the village would think of her now that she come back 'all grown up'. She sighed for the millionth time that week. It seemed like only yesterday that she and Pander had just met...she sighed again. She was getting tired of sighing. She was about to sigh again when she stopped herself. So...are we going to go visit your house first, get some things, and then go to...wherever my family re-located to?

My sister is actually living with your family right now, in a large home not far from the top.
Pander sprung over the top of the climbing surface and into a bustling village square. He laid out on the ground, offering his hand down to Yume. Their climbing surface was one side of a rectangular hole in the square.

Well, that's a relief. I just hop they haven't mis-treated her in any way...and I'm not worried...just nervous...
Yume took Panders' hand and pushed herself up onto the ground. She brushed herself off and waited for Pander to brush himself off. She stretched her arms out and breathed in the fresh air. It was kind of cold up here since it was high up on the mountains. She soon adjusted to the weather and started to look around.
This place...seems like...it hasn't changed at all... She remembered the tattoo on her neck when she saw a poison berry bush around the base of a tree. She shivered and looked away. She rubbed the back of her neck and put her hands in her pocket.

No, not really...
He hadn't even bothered to brush off the dust. He smiled at a few villagers who were out so early then started to walk towards a large house just down the street. It was built with stone, making it the village stronghold if they were to be attacked again.
She's become a young women now, my sister. She's taking care of the younger children while the men and women go off to their work.

Well, that's a relief...your sister...is a very nice person... Yume smiled and walked towards the house following Pander. Do you think we could find my brother? She looked up into the sky. I'm sure he's alive, but...I'm just not sure if he's still with the village. I mean, I know my family wouldn't just abandon my brother like that... Yume put her hands in her pocket. She was so confused...

Nah... he's here too. No worries Yume.
He pulled open then door, holding it for Yume. The large slab of stone was barely held on by the hinges it was so heavy. The smel of sweet purfume flowwed out of the door. A few women wandered around in the entrance hall, obviously helping with the cleaning.

Keila's eyes opened wide, staring at the look on Ria's face. Her own emotions, visible on her face at least, were that of shock and fear. Her eyes opened widely, and she started struggling uselessly in the shadows' careful, but overpowering grips. Her eyes started to water as she grasped out, trying to grab some part of the hall.
Papa... help me!! she thought for the brief moment she was engulfed in darkness. She wasn't some though kid who really wasn't her age, not even close. Keila was eight years old, and there was nothing she could do about what was going on except pray, hope, and tell herself that everything was going to be okay.
And Ria.. she knew... she knew... she thought at her usual mile a minute speed while sobbing. She knew what was going to happen.. Ria smiled and acted as if nothing was wrong..
[ In the Ancient Forest cave ]
She was dropped onto the ground, eyes still wet and tears still running down her cheeks as she kept sobbing, never having been so afraid in her life. "Papa.." Keila muttered, rocking herself and still being kept held of by the shadows. "God.. Kurai.. anybody.." she shook her head, shivering.
Quickly, she lifted her head while sniffling, having been staring at the ground, and found herself to be in a dark cave. "Oh, poo.. where the hell am I?" she giggled to herself, already trying to become perky again. Keila moved to wipe her eyes, and to her surprise, the shadows left go of her. She wiped her eyes and clutched around her knees, taking a deep breath and ignoring everything around her, inside some place in her mind.
Calm down. Take a deep breath... and get control. Get it together, baka. she opened her eyes again, actually taking a closer look at what was around her.

On the outside of the cave Mergex wandered in looking for a place to shelter for the night. His purple eyes glowed in the dark giving him a vampire like appearnce. he looked ahead and saw some being in his cave. He growled. Even if it was that persons he would kick them out. Mergex doesnt like to share.
" Whoever you are...get out now. I claim this cave. Go find a shack box or something get out of here. I don't care if your a small child. I want you out...unless you rather stay for dinner" Mergex said in a sinster tone at the end showing his many sharp teeth.
