Robin cast a grateful look at Jaeshan when he decided to help her out by sending out Combusken. "Well it looks like we are in this." She muttered to herself. "All right Luffy! Let's start it off like we always do Fake Out on that flying Murkrow!" She said with a grin. Luffy also seemed to like that idea and giving a small grin and wave at Combusken before he took off. Running over the ground he waited until he was at just the right place before taking a mighty leap into the air so that he was now right over the Murkrow. Doing a spin in the air getting some extra speed he used his momentum to bring his tail down in a hopeful hit of the Murkrow.

As Robin announced her attack the green haired sparkle... person giggled and spun around. "Oh Misdreavus lets not get forgotten! How about we use your beautiful Confuse Ray on that Combusken!" The green haired sparkle creature giggled and briefly let go of the others hand to do a twirl. "Oh this will be the cutest battle ever!" The ghost pokemon Misdreavus just seemed to roll her eyes before looking over at the Combusken, the little Aipom couldn't hurt her but this pokemon could. Her eyes started to glow and soon a beam shot out of them towards the fire type pokemon.

Aidan was not pleased to find out that one of the children he was taking care of was upset. He watched Calder disappear into the shadows for a moment before he turned to go inside of the pokemon center in order to try to find out where the child was. As he walked through the building he was surprised to find that it was still empty. It should not be this empty, sure they were not a large town but they still there should at least be someone here. Frowning slightly before wiping it from his face, straining his ears he heard a small sniffling sound. Following that sound he eventually found the source of it coming from a closet. Opening the door he was greeted to the sight of a small blond girl who was curled up behind some coats and crying. "Alice? Is that you?" He questioned as he bent down so that he could see her more pushing a few jackets away.

The small girl looked up with tear filled eyes and stared at him for a moment sniffling. It seemed to take her a moment but when she recognized him she let out a wail and jumped up at him wrapping her arms around his thin waist. "Aiiiiiidan!" She just started bawling on him squeezing him hard.

Aidan had to brace himself slightly before he brought a hand up and put it on her head his long fingers messing up her blond curly hair. "Shh Alice its ok, come on lets move somewhere and sit down. You can tell me what has you upset ok?" He asked the younger girl who just nodded into the black fabric of his jacket. Seeing that she was ok with that he picked her up and carried her into the main room before sitting himself and her down on a couch. "All right Alice what happened? Was someone picking on you?"

It looked like a sure hit, Crenu was almost certain that Hitmonlee was going to hit with a killing blow or at least put things back in his favor. Even with these thoughts going through his head he did not faulter, he did not grin, all he did was watch to gain as much possible data from the battle. A sudden air of misfortune came over Crenu as he got a twisted feeling in the pit of his stomach, the sort of gut wrenching feeling that one gets moments before an accident or before terrible news is about to be delivered. It was a feeling that he knew quite well, though it was admittedly far less sever than the other times he'd felt it. Kasiya's sudden flash of annoyance went unnoticed by Crenu, but her Larvitar's grin did not. It all played out in his head before it happened in the field, yet his mouth could not form the words quick enough sa he watched it happen twice in mere seconds. It appeared that Hitmonlee managed to graze the Larvitar, but that would not be enough to stop his momentum. Hitmonlee was prepaired for the worse, but that didn't make the following event any easier. Hitmonlee hit the sand hard with a mighty foot that sent sand scattering in every direction, were it not for the elastic properties of his legs Lee might have broken something. But despite the odd way his leg coiled and bent, the damage was still very real. Both of his hands clenched onto his leg as he rolled forward and srung up into a standing position. Standing on his good leg Hitmonlee rubbed his leg tenderly as his eyes locked on his opponent. That damn runt was starting to get on his last nerve, and now she looked like she was getting amped up as well. The fact that up until now she didn't seem as into the fight only angered him more, like she had worn him out this much without really even trying. Damn Larvitars, none of the Larvitars in the mountain back home were this tough or arrogant. First Crenu's Larvitar and now this blond girls Larvitar, what the hell was it about those two? It couldn't be the trainers could it? Maybe it was soemthign between Larvitars and blond kids? Now that was just stupid. Hitmonlee wasn't thinking straight anymore, he really hated Larvitars. "Damn...I think you've got another hit or two Lee. Take another hit and you're done for, so stay on your toes. Let's try and finish this now Hitmonlee, Focus Energy." What was that? Hitmonlee hated the waiting game, he preffered to pummel his opponents non stop untill they were pulp, but that didn't seem to be working at the moment. He Closed his eyes rose his injured leg up high above his head in an almost vertical position, which stung like crazy with his leg the way it was thanks to that punk Larvitar. His breathing regulated and his muscles tightened as Hitmonlee began focusing his energy into his limbs for maximum power. An invisible aura circled the Kicking Pokemon and the sand at his base started to blow away a little. He didn't have much more in him, so he had to make sure that if he did get any hits in they would have a greater chance at ending the battle.

Miharu continued to watch her two Pokemon practicing with a bit of a half-smile on her face. It seemed like such a short time ago that she'd met Aska, and already the bird Pokemon was showing some amazing potential. She was fast and smart, two things which Miharu admired in a Pokemon. She crossed her arms and watched as the bird kicked up a cloud of dust towards Starrie, who began to spin around like a top in order to negate the effect - a rather clever use of Rapid Spin. When it had stopped spinning Starrie came to a full stop and jumped up, launching a stream of shimmering blue bubbles towards the Pidgeotto, and after a moment or two of thought Miharu realized that her Staryu had learned Bubblebeam. Upon seeing the bubbles flying at her Aska did her best to avoid being hit, although Starrie caught on quickly to her evasive pattern and changed its aim accordingly, resulting in the Pidgeotto being sprayed in the backside by the tail-end of the Staryu's Bubblebeam.

Aska trilled loudly and shook the water out of her tail feathers before pivoting around in the air and diving down at Starrie with what looked like an Aerial Ace. Miharu knew that the move was a no-miss one and she wondered what Starrie would do to counter it. Interestingly enough the Star-shape Pokemon just stood there and took the hit, but not before it launched itself forward and hit the prone Pidgeotto with a Tackle attack. Miharu thought she saw a slight flicker in the Staryu's center core, which was a sign that the Pokemon's stamina was starting to drain, although as Aska retreated back up to the skies a curious glow overcame Starrie as it initiated its Recover, restoring whatever health Aska had managed to knock away so far.

Riza didn't get very far before something else grabbed her attention as she soon recognized the guy and girl from earlier, the ones who'd been battling with the pink Typhlosion and Ursaring. Deciding that those two really were quite interesting, Riza gathered up her courage and headed towards them, intent on finding out where they'd gotten their Pokemon from. She'd never really liked fire-type Pokemon before but the way the typhlosion attacked somehow appealed to her, and she liked how fast the Pokemon was. The ursaring had been pretty awesome too and Riza liked the raw power the bear was packing with each swing of his mighty paws.

Ralts seemed to get uneasy again as they neared the duo but Riza didn't seem to notice this. "That was a great battle you guys had earlier," she said, stopping in front of them. She spotted the pretty Espeon resting nearby and watched it for a moment before continuing. "I'm actually interested in raising a cyndaquil and teddiursa some day," she said, kicking the sand a bit. Ralts took this opportunity to teleport to the ground, where she continued to back away from the new people Riza was talking to. "Any chance you guys know where I could find them?"

Kirsa was a little startled by her friend's loud declaration, briefly stopping mid-bite to raise an eyebrow and glance at her. She certainly was an eccentric one, that Sasha. She finally took the bite and chewed quietly, listening to Sasha kind of explain what was to happen; from the sounds of things, she didn't know any more than Kirsa did. She supposed she would just have to wait and find out.

"...Hm. I see." The smaller girl said after she had swallowed, taking a moment to stare off into the crowd, feet swaying a little to some unheard tune in her head. "Well, the most we can do is hope that it is at least something worth hearing."
Having finished his two frankfurters, Hans looked up at the two girls and Prickles, licking his chops for any remnants of his lunch before placing himself down next to the bench to wait patiently for the others to finish.

Nodding vigorously in agreement Kirsa crumpled up the wrappings from her burger, glancing about for a trash bin. "Oh, ja. I am going to have to do double my workout routine tonight."

Even though Ada had avoided most of the damage from Hitmonlee's Jump Kick Kasiya was still wary of what the Fighting-type was capable of, especially after Crenu had told him to use Focus Energy. Kasiya looked over the limber Pokemon a few times, knowing that he probably didn't have much left in him. Ada was starting to look a bit tired, but the way that she was glaring at Hitmonlee led her to believe that the Larvitar was nowhere near the point of giving up as of yet. Even still, she didn't want to get reckless and put her reputation on the line even further. She had a point to prove and she didn't want Crenu - or anyone - to think she was weak when put under pressure like this. "Now it's our turn to hit 'em hard, Ada," Kasiya murmured, clenching a fist and bringing it up slowly. "Slam that Hitmonlee with your best Rock Slide!" she commanded, the authority booming in her usually cheery and gentle voice. Ada let out a fierce growl and slammed her fists into the ground, once again sending up a large volley of huge rocks that she then directed at Hitmonlee, the strain apparent on the Larvitar's face as the rocks began to crash down with a tremendous roar.

Shocker's ear twitched slightly when she saw the way Kasiya was reacting to the battle, and she knew too well what it felt like to be underestimated - after all, she'd been underestimated yesterday as well. Nova seemed to be a bit shaken up by the sight of Ada's fearsome Rock Slide and she turned towards Shocker, burying her face in the Raichu's stomach. Shocker could feel the baby trembling and she subconsciously wrapped her tail around the young Charmander, trying to quell the young one's fears. She couldn't blame her though, as she too would rather not be on the business end of that Rock Slide.

Upon seeing the little purple monkey initiate his attack, the purple-haired sparkly waved an arm and instantly the Murkrow complied. She managed to avoid taking the full hit from Luffy's amazing Fake Out attack but it still struck, causing the dark bird to flinch and begin to plummet towards the ground. "Oh no, Murkrow dear!" cried the trainer, though upon hearing her trainer's voice Murkrow seemed to snap out of it and she corrected herself before slamming into the ground. Using a burst of speed the flier twisted around and shot up into the sky, squawking indignantly at Luffy and Robin. "How could you do that to my baby?" the trainer shrieked, proceeding to call out for the Pokemon to fight back with a Peck attack, although it was unable to comply due to its flinching status for that round.

Combusken just blinked when she heard the other very shiny trainer order an attack against her, she didn't know what a Confuse Ray was. Jaeshan, on the other hand, knew perfectly well what it was and he decided he would have none of that - he didn't need Combusken accidentally roasting Luffy with her powerful Flamethrower. "Dodge it, Combusken!" he shouted. Combusken simply nodded and complied, taking a few quick steps and putting herself well out of the way of the debilitating attack. Combusken then danced on the spot a bit, giving a few quick jabs and kicks to the air, even though she knew those physical attacks would do nothing against the ghostly Misdreavus.

Serenity's ears perked up as the raven-haired girl approached and her tail began to twitch intently. She didn't sense any hostility coming from the girl so she instead turned her attention to the small Pokemon that had just teleported to the ground. The Espeon was not a mean creature by nature and she was very interested in the Ralts. She looked up at Mai, her tail twitching almost like that of a cat's. "Go ahead," Mai said, taking her eyes off the distant battle only once the inquisitive Espeon had hopped down from from the bench and was padding carefully towards the Ralts that she dared look at Riza. She lazily lifted up her sunglasses and looked towards the girl. "Thanks, but it was nothing," she said, her tone changing from the harsh, cold voice of a Rocket administrator to the upbeat, cheery one of a regular girl ready for a day of fun in the sun. She lightly touched Kero's Pokeball and looked over at Leo. "Well I got my Cyndaquil from Professor Elm in New Bark Town a few years back," she said thoughtfully, although it was possibly the furthest thing from the truth. "Other than getting one from him or commissioning one from a breeder I'm afraid I don't know Hon," she said, shrugging sympathetically. She couldn't blame the girl for wanting a Cyndaquil though - Kero had helped her get through a lot of tough battles in the past. "Bryan?" she then asked, turning to her companion.

"Ehh..." Leo started, scratching his chin and flexing his arms thoughtfully. "I think I caught 'im in the mountains somewhere south of Blackthorne City. In Johto," he added after a moment or two of thought. "Good eye though," he said with a wink - the girl was far from unattractive, that was for sure - "my Ursaring is reliable and strong. Good Pokemon, though he's got a bit o' a nasty temper on 'im." Not really knowing what else to say he just shrugged and studied the girl for a moment or two. "So are you by yourself? Don't tell me a pretty little thing like yourself is here all alone?"

Ralts watched closely as the Espeon approached her, at first a little intimidated but soon her curiosity got the better of her. She sensed that the Espeon meant no harm and she gave a small wave, dancing a bit on the spot. She hadn't met another psychic-type before and she was very excited to be meeting Serenity. As happy as she was however Ralts was very unaware of just how much stronger Serenity was.

Riza sighed at this new information - Professor Elm only ever gave Pokemon to trainers who were just starting out and didn't have a Pokemon of their own, and even though she had just started her journey, she already had two Pokemon, so chances were good that getting a Cyndaquil from Elm wouldn't be the way to go. She knew the mountains south of Blackthorne, though, she'd often gone there with her older brother during his visits home with his Pokemon. It was an excellent place for training and it was mostly because of those excursions that made Riza want to raise Pokemon of her own. She hadn't seen any teddiursa or ursaring in that area when they had been there although she suspected it was because they didn't go far south enough. "Thanks," she said, after mulling over the information again, and she turned to Bryan and smiled. "Well, yeah, I am actually," she said with a nod. "It was my brother's idea to come here. He thought that I could probably make some new friends, since I only became a trainer a little while ago." Now that she thought about it she had been away from home for a week and a half now, and she couldn't help but smile at the realization that she wasn't homesick at all. "What about you guys? What brings you here?" she asked. Surely they were there to have fun and compete in battles with other strong trainers, not sit around and chat it up with a greenhorn trainer like her.

Serenity tilted her head a bit and sat down next to the Ralts, her tail twitching slightly as she greeted her fellow Psychic-type. The Ralts was young but she sensed great potential from her, and this pleased her. Sure, Serenity had done some awful things in the time at her mistress' command but that didn't make the Espeon herself an evil creature. Some of the things she'd done she actually regretted, although even to this day she would put her life in harm's way if it meant protecting Mai, thus proving that the two of them share an incredible bond. There had to be a bond like that, otherwise Serenity never would have evolved from an Eevee.

Mai chuckled a bit as the girl mentioned she was a new trainer, sighing as it forced her to remember her own humble beginnings as a Pokemon trainer. She hadn't truly started out as most trainers do, although she did get her very first Pokemon - a Squirtle - from Professor Oak in Pallet Town. At this point Mai had already been taken in by Giovanni, although he'd sent her to Pallet town from Viridian in order to get some information on the famed Pokemon Professor, as well as see if the girl had any talent in the field of Pokemon training. Mai could recall being angry that the only Pokemon available to her had been the lowly Squirtle, as she'd actually wanted to raise a Bulbasaur, but she'd arrived too late and the only one left had been the Tinyturtle Pokemon. Upon completion of her very first mission Giovanni had rewarded her with her second Pokemon, which had been the Eevee which was now her Espeon, Serenity. The two of them became close quite fast, leaving the Water-type feeling somewhat abandoned. Looking back on it now, though, Mai was glad she'd given the Squirtle the cold shoulder at first - it had forced Tanker to try harder, and he soon became a very strong and reliable Pokemon.

"Everyone starts out somewhere, so don't worry about it," Mai said finally, snapping out of her trip down memory lane. "Us? We're just here for the party," she said, although the statement wasn't entirely untrue. "A few battles wouldn't be boring, but I'm really here to relax and take a bit of a break from training." She let her sunglasses fall back down over her eyes and she stretched, sitting up straight and holding out her hand for Riza. "The name's Cammy," she said before looking to Leo. "And this here's my traveling partner, Bryan. Nice to meet you," she said. Leo simply nodded and held out his hand as well. As he looked back at Mai he was certain he could read her thoughts: What a drag! Trot out the old professor and let's get this mission started already!

The friendly greeting made Ralts quite happy and she brought her hands up to her mouth and giggled. She was making so many new friends today! She looked over at Riza, hoping her trainer was doing the same thing. She seemed to be distant and cold at first, but Ralts could sense that Riza was actually quite lonely and truly did want friends who liked her just for who she was.

"Being a newbie doesn't bother me," Riza countered quickly. "I've already learned a lot of things," she added. When Cammy held out her hand Riza was quick to shake it, as well as Bryan's. "I'm Riza, Riza Harding. It's nice to meet you guys as well." She stopped then, not quite sure what to do or say next. She was new to this social thing as well as being a trainer, and she looked around aimlessly, wondering what she should do next. "Eh, well I guess I'd better get going. I just caught my Ralts a little while ago and I want to see what she can do, so we're off to do a bit of training. See you guys later," she added, after beckoning to Ralts, who bid goodbye to Serenity before teleporting away and onto Riza's shoulder once again.

'I guess getting some training in wouldn't be a bad idea at all,' Riza thought, feeling a bit inspired by Cammy and Bryan now that she'd spoken with them. As much as she did want to venture back to her hometown and see about that teddiursa, she didn't want to go home so soon so instead she would figure out a way to catch herself a cyndaquil. 'A nice, diverse team, that's what Jaden always said,' she thought as she walked, an actual smile on her face for once.

Robin and Luffy both grinned at the fact that the Murkrow could not attack this turn. Sure it was disappointing that the damage hadn't been done but the flinch was the main joy of this attack. Besides they could only use it once a battle and Robin wasn't going to waste it. "Luffy lets go for a Swift attack!" This time she didn't want the attack to miss and she was going to make sure that it didn't miss with the ever true Swift attack. From his place on the ground Luffy spun around a few more times gathering some more energy his tail starting to glow. When he decided that he was done he released the star shaped energy from his tail at the funny bird.

"Oh no our glorious Confuse Ray missed!" The green haired sparkle creature wailed. "Ohhh that's just no good! Misdreavus use your Psywave!" The ghost pokemon just nodded and concentrated for a moment closing her eyes. When she seemed to get it she opened them a moment later each of them glowing with power before a Psywave attack seemed to shot out of them like laser beams. "Oh yes that was marvelous! Try to dodge that beautiful attack."

~~~~~~~~~
The young girl shook her head in a no, yeah she did get picked on sometimes but this wasn't it. Besides she was strong enough not to bug Aidan with something as little as getting picked on. Aidan did all he could to make sure they had a place to sleep at night and to clean up the town, even now as she was sobbing she still felt guilty for bugging him. "N-no. No one was p-pi-picking on me."
"Did you get hurt?" Aidan was pretty sure that he hadn't seen her injured when he picked her up but he might have missed something. He quickly looked her over and didn't really see anything, she wasn't really dirty either so she must not have been outside for very long.
Alice shook her head in a no.
"What's wrong then? I cannot help you if I do not know what is wrong."Aidan offered gently rubbing her back and still holding her rather closely. She was the youngest of the bunch at seven and everyone in town had a bit of a soft spot for her. Some had tried to adopt her as well but she never wanted to stray far from her 'Big Brother Aidan'.
Alice looked up at Aidan with big watery blue eyes brimming with tears before she nodded, sniffing once more she decided to tell her big brother what was wrong. "I was going to the pokemon ranch with everyone else. A lot of pokemon were hatching pretty suddenly and I wanted to see the baby ones. They were really cute and a lot of people were trying to help them out without catching them since some trainers ordered them. I turned around to go back and suddenly I saw it! It was so scary I ran away but it started to chase me. No one else seemed to notice it though... I ran and hid in the closet, then you found me."
Aidan wasn't quite sure what to think of that. He hasn't ever really dealt with this kinda thing before. After a moment of thinking Aidan figured that this might be a sort of monster under your bed kind of thing. "Can you tell me what it looked like?"
Alice nodded eagerly ready to have her big brother take care of the scary monster for her. "Yeah it had a big red eye that was inside of a skull! It was floating to!"
Ok... Well that was different then what he had been expecting. Floating? He wasn't sure how he was going to explain that to her, maybe it would be better if he saw it to? "Hmm... I don't know of anything that has one eye, a skull and floats. Maybe you could show it to me?" Aidan felt her stiffen up a bit in his arms. "Don't worry I will be there to protect you. I just need to see it in order to take care of it. Remember that I have pokemon to take care of us?"
Kilik suddenly found himself on the ground, kneeling with his eyes aimed straight at the cloud of smoke in front of him. Golem had exploded, though it wasn't the force from the Explosion that took him down. Beams of white light began to burst out of the smoke. Again, the earth shook beneath him. There was a loud roar, louder than anything he'd heard come from Lairon. Behind it was what sounded like metal screeching down another sheet of metal. The boy stood up slowly, his eyes wide with a mixture of happiness, fear, and accomplishment. He heard a shattering noise - the Protect bubble had broken.
Where Lairon once stood was a towering beast. Horns protruded from his forehead, and his once rocky lower jaw was now replaced by a metal plating. Bright blue eyes shimmered against a pitch black drop within his metal skull. A long, rocky tail smashed against the dirt. Once more, the newly-evolved Aggron let out a mighty roar. Kilik cheered, jumping into the air. "Finally! He's finally evolved!" he cried out.
Recalling the Golem, Mr. Ranmo let out a low whistle. "Very impressive! That last minute Protect brought him towards evolution!" he laughed heartily, "I'm proud of you, my boy! Now--" he cut off his words when he saw the Aggron begin to move his large legs from place. "Where..."He wasn't going to stand around to beat another opponent from the old man. No, sir, he was going to go right into town and take down the strongest opponent he could find. Aggron's tail whipped around and smashed against a old decaying tree, shattering it into splinters.
When he reached the city limits, he let out a loud roar to signal his arrival and to ask for any challengers.
Kilik gave chase. "Sorry, Dad, gotta go! We'll pick this back up!" he said, jumping over the dead stump of a tree to reach his Pokemon. Don't break anything! he thought with a grimace.
Riza continued along her way for a while, only paying partial attention to where she was going. The water looked cold and uninviting and she had no desire at all to go swimming. Ralts babbled cheerily from atop her shoulder and suddenly Riza wondered how the little psychic would fare in a battle. No one seemed to be approaching her though, so she figured she'd have to ask around.
Riza eyed a few of the people still sitting on the beach, stopping when she saw a skinny blonde haired boy sitting cross-legged on a blue beach towel, reading a book. The most notable feature about him was his checkered swim trunks and the horn-rimmed glasses he wore on his face. After a moment or so of reading he seemed to realize someone was watching him and he looked up, adjusting his glasses. "Uh, can I help you?" he asked.
Riza pursed her lips for a moment, thinking about how to ask. "Are you a trainer?" she asked finally, knowing that it was a little blunt. She placed a hand on her hip, watching him carefully.
The boy nodded, placing a marker in his book before standing up. "Uh, yeah. Well, kind of," he mumbled. "That is, I have Pokemon, I'm just not really traveling around or anything. Yet. Why do you ask?"
"I'm a trainer too," Riza said quickly. "Well, a new one, that is. I just caught my Ralts today and I wanted to see what she can do." Riza shrugged, there was no reason to not just come out with it. "But if you're not up for it that's fine."
"Actually, I think it could be fun," he said, adjusting his glasses again. "I've been wanting to go on my own journey but to be honest with you, I've been too scared." He took a Pokeball from his trunks pocket and showed it to Riza. "Maybe a battle is just what I need to get the inspiration to start my own journey."
Riza smiled at this and nodded. She'd never been too intimidated to go on her own journey, she had just not been allowed to. "Well let's make this fun then," she said, reaching up and pulling Ralts down from her shoulder. "Ready, Ralts?" Ralts nodded and brought her little hands up and clenched them into fists. "Whenever you're ready," Riza told the boy.
Ralts continued to punch at the air playfully, waiting to see what the boy would send out. Truth be told Ralts was a little worried about the battle, mostly because she'd just met Riza and the two had never battled together before. Riza was a bit nervous as well, but at least she knew what Ralts' attacks were. "Oh, uh, my name is Riza, by the way," she said suddenly, just as the boy was about to toss the Pokeball.
"Oh, uh... my name is Matt," he said, having paused in mid throw. "My Pokemon for this match will be... Seymour, my Marill!" With that he finally flung the sphere, and a little Marill popped out. Only, right away Riza could tell that there was something different about this one. Instead of the trademark blue, this Marill appeared to be a strange, aqua-green colour. Not only that but the Pokemon appeared with a bunch of sparkles around it as well. As much as Riza wanted to question it she decided not to - perhaps Matt's Marill was a special one. "Ladies first," Matt said, the greenish Marill bouncing from foot to foot happily.
"Uh, okay. Ralts, how about we start off safe? Let's use double team!" Riza called out. She could feel her heart rate pick up as the battle started, and she knew at once that this was what she was meant to do. Ralts' small body sparkled slightly and suddenly she disappeared from the spot, reappearing many times around Seymour the Marill.
The Pokemon blinked in confusion at the sight of the many ralts surrounding him, but he stood strong. "Okay Seymour, we can do this. Use your tail whip! When we hit it, it will be a good one!" Seymour nodded and twirled around on one foot, swinging his bobble-tipped tail around in a rather cute fashion. Ralts felt a slight tingle as her defense fell a bit, but she shook it off as she waited for Riza to give her another command.
Jun and co. swaggered up the fancy schmancy nail salon's stairs like they were A-list celebrities gracing the paparazzi with rare shots; meanwhile, Pierre strutted up in a more manly, "oh-I'm-a-physical-trainer-with-a-ripped-bod" way, far more modest despite the impeccable pecs underneath his tight shirt. He was certainly straight to the core though, Jun sighed, eying the man's engagement band as they sat down immediately at one of the open tables -- the ladies at the salon were well acquainted with the two, often gladly making room for the fabulous diva and his hottie friend even if they required reservations for everyone else. The thing with Pierre was that he accepted his feminine side so amiably that it only made him more confident and manly. Though he wouldn't be getting the edgy zebra-stripe French tips Jun was, 'cause only Jun could work those.
Leeron the Jynx was getting her nails done too, although since her body didn't actually provide nails, she was getting fake ones plastered on. She always picked especially gaudy nails, but Gaudy was Lee's middle name (theoretically). This time, her nails depicted a sunset scene with a white tip. Meanwhile, Rosaline, having no need for anything of this nail business and trusting no one but Jun to trim her leaves, simply made herself comfortable and read (or look at the pictures of) some magazines.
"I thzink that I vill need the haircut after zees," Pierre said conversationally at their table as the ladies worked on their hands, "but eet ees such a pain to make so many stops, while my fiance avaits me at home. Shame zhat salons cannot multitask... Though I zuppose eet ees better that they specialize."
"Huh," Jun said haughtily, though it was clear that Pierre's sentiment had sent him into deep thought. Maybe he could open such a salon someday, for people and Pokemon, that could attend to every beauty need. It'd have to be a bigass, fabulous salon. He didn't know enough, didn't have enough experience to even think of creating a successful salon like this, but maybe some day, after he and his fellow beauty associates, his Pokemon, had seen more of the wonders of this world...
"Owww!" Jun yelped, yanking his finger back and glaring daggers at the relatively young girl of oriental origin who had cut his cuticles a little too far. "Girl, that hurt!" he snapped, sucking on the miniscule drop of blood that had begin to form.
"S-s-sorry!" the girl stammered, and Jun softened his anger when he saw tears welling. Must be new, and they must have been short on staff today. Though by the way her fingers moved, he could see potential in her.
"Just pay more attention... Oh god, I know it's so distracting when Pierre here has the most amazing shoulders and collar bones you'll ever see on a male specimen," Jun confided in a whisper.
The girl, amazed, only nodded.
