Shaydra rolled over and mumbled, "G'night." She closed her eyes but did not sleep. She needed to do something, now that she was in a city with company.

Luxran couldn't sleep as well and walked into the hallway and began pacing around.

zinc got up out of the chair and started pacing around the room waiting for morning "What should i do? what should i do?" he kept asking himself

Luxran walked into the room. "Shh." he said pointing to the dragon. "He's sleeping."

Shaydra, still in human form, sat up and whispered a spell, holding out her open hand. A flash of light briefly illuminated her palm, then faded. Satisfied, she started drawing in the air with a pencil gotten from behind her ear, a line of lead following the tip.

Lex woke a little from the sudden flash of light. She sat up and blinked a little. Looking around, she saw just Shaydra drawing. She trusted the dragon-girl,so she jsut went back to sleep.

The little dragon woke up and walked to luxran. "Fank you." he said. "Me nam Pahau."
Luxran picked up pahau and hugged him. "Why were you so injured." he asked

Shaydra finished drawing and tapped the drawing twice. Color slowly blushed up it and the now real, substational dove waited patiently as Shaydra tied a message to its leg. It fluttered out the open window as soon as Shaydra made the last knot.
She closed the window and pulled a book out of her bag. She leaned against the wall and started reading.

Lex woke woke silently, and walked over to Shaydra without being noticed. Her green eyes flashed at the scent of bird around her. She shifted back to her human state and yawned, "I'm hungry. What ever happened to that baby dragon?"

Shaydra glanced over to her, slipping a bookmark between the pages of her book and closing it. "The last I saw, he went into Luxran's room. Go downstairs if you want to, the humans there will probably serve you food if you pay up a little. Or you could go outside and hunt." Shaydra tilted her head. "If you go downstairs, I'd like to accompany you. I need a bit of a bite myself."
She fingered the tree-bark book cover. She had always detested leather, as it was skinned from cows and boiled. Humans these days killed animals for everything - clothes, things to sit on, pouches holding money, bags, and many onther things.

pahau jumped out of luxran's arms and told him to follow. He walked down stairs and luxran followed. pahau got to the tree and stopped. "A woff attacked me." he said
