Serene gripped the side of the tower so she wouldn't fall and just gazed sadly into her destroyed kingdom below.
"I would like to see that happen..." she said, not really believeing it. "I doubt he will, it's impossible to bring back the dead. I should know." Tears formed in her eyes as she remebered something from her past, she briskly wiped them away with her arm. "Stupid...I feel so stupid! I can't believe we let him in! I know of that Jason guy...he has a reputation...but I was too naiive to think he would attack here...he knows where there is other gods...and goddesses..."
The wind tossed her hair and blew the bottom of her dress as she stood there.
"Don't worry, I won't fall...I may be weak...but I am still a shapeshifter..." even though the only animal I am strong at shifting into is a CAT right now...
she thought, hoping nobody nearby could read minds.
"hopefully..he won't figure out...that there are more heavenly beings here than he thinks..." she muttered darkly under her breath.

Aubry felt the sting of tears coming, but she held them back. she really did like Darren, but she wouldn't let her feelings betray her...
"possibly that was what he, Darren, wanted. to get out of his mortal body... but i made a promise to myself that i would keep at least one royal family member safe, so that's what i am going to do." she looked at Serene.

Kaija looked up at Aubry and Serene and nodded. She raced to where they were and sat next to them waiting for something to do or something to end. She was not used to waiting and watching a fight, she was always the one fighting, but they were mostly for good causes, though she hardly left without a mark unless the opponet was terrible with a sword.

Azumi, still in her large wolf form, sat down at the beach's edge, laying down. She rested her head onto her paws staring at the ocean. She tried helping the people of that kingdom, but it really wasn't her place to be butting into. It was such a peaceful night though and she was beginning to figure out...what she was.

Serene nodded. "I know. I know exactly what you mean, that is, I know what your not telling me. I can tell by the sound of pain in your voice. You like my brother...and I'm fine with that...I liked someone once...but...he was killed...by the man that is now battling my brother...he killed the man I loved..." she said, turning to Aubry, her eyes full of tears.
"What he doesn't know is that there is one goddess here...which is..." Serene began to sob. "me. The goddess of peace, love and serenity."
"I feel like such a child..I am running away from my chance at vengence against the man that killed the one I loved most...but..I can't find it in my heart to...kill..." Serene said sadly, kneeling down by Aubry, putting her head in her hands. "It's not....fair..."

Azumi, with her sharp ears, overheard the conversation that Serene and Aubry were having. Azumi stood up, shaking off the sand from her dark red fur, she ran to the castle finding a way to where Serene and Aubry were trying to avoid the battle. She found her way to them, walking behind Serene and nuzzling her furry snout against her hand.
"M'lady. Will you allow me to help protect you? I don't want to see anyone else be killed. I know I may be an outsider...but I want to help."
She stayed beside Serene, continuing to nuzzle her snout against the young queen's hand.

"is it" when the light fully faded the castle and the town was all fixed but what jason didnt realize was his powers and his rank as a god were all gone and now jason was a mear mortal
