Quest: Day 2 Ancelin sat in her living room couch with a small diary looking book and a pen in hand. It seemed to be her pet journal. She kept one to document the conditions of her tanks and the additions/loss of fish. But today she was reserving a page to document her progress with her new pheasant. 'He seems to be eating and drinking well, but he still wont come out of his cage.. I leave the door open and constantly reassure him that he's safe, but all he does is stare at me. He wont even speak to me. I don't understand it, I can speak to other birds, why can't I speak to him? I'm still just getting used to these abilities of mine.. Maybe I can only speak to certain breeds of birds? Who knows. I just wish he'd wander about, he seems so uncomfortable. I wish there was something I could do to make it better.'An stopped jotting for a few seconds and glanced over her shoulder threw the bedroom door. The pheasant was currently grooming itself, pecking and preening under it's right wing. It shot it's head up and looked at Ancelin, before letting out a strange hiss. It quickly shot back under the bushes. Ancelin turned her head back and sighed. Maybe she should of got a parakeet after all.

Day 3 Ancelin sat down on her couch again and opened the book. She had a couple bandaids on her arms and face, along with various light scratches here and there. She had a sour expression on her face as she turned the page, leering at the bird cage while she clicked her pen. Well, I have learned two things about my new feathered friend. 1: He is a champion at staring contests.. And 2: He gets violent when you try to pick him up.Ancelin winced and rubbed her arm when she finished writing down the last sentence. I've tried everything but he still wont talk to me. I've tried bribing him with treats. I've tried offering to take him outside. Everything. And he just stays in the bushes glaring at me. I don't know what I did to make him hate me so much, but it's really starting to get on my nerves. If things don't get better in the next week or so.. I think I'm just gonna send him back.An sighed and closed her journal and set it down on her living room table. She then reached up to gently sooth her hair. With a confused expression she licked her fingers around something that didn't match the texture of her hair and pulled it out. "You lost something!" she mocked as she called back to the bird in the cage, holding up one of it's flight feathers. The bird sent her a sharp yellow eyed glare, An simply grinned and blew him a raspberry.

An Intruder Half a week had passed since Ancelin had acquired the pheasant, and she was still having no luck bonding with it. It only came out of it's hiding spots long enough to eat and drink, and whenever she would speak to it she was only met with glares and the ruffling of feathers. Ancelin had decided to just leave the bird be and let him come to her in his own time. Today was cleaning day. Ancelin had accumulated all of her dirty laundry into a tall basket, and was working on going out the door with it. She left the door open, seeing as her hands where full and the door opened inward she couldn't just kick it shut. She walked down the stares whistling a random song she heard off the radio. The bird stuck his head out of the cage door. Ah, his freak of nature captor was gone. Great! Now he could get out of those damned bushes for a few moments without being met by staring eyes and incessant babbling. Too bad the bird wouldn't be left with peace for much longer. Ancelin wasn't the only one in the apartment building that had pets. Whiskers, a cat that belonged to a small girl a few doors down, was currently walking back into the building after being let out to go to the bathroom. It paused when it came to Ancelin's door and peered inside. Whiskers prepared to go on it's way back to it's apartment door, before it heard the sound of bird-like cooing inside. The cat flipped it's ears forward and lowered it's body closer to the ground, before it slowly began stalking into the three room apartment. Now instead of returning home to it's master, the bird had one thing on it's mind: Lunch!

A Savior? The cat slowly made it's way towards the pheasants cage, slinking under the living room table and around the couch. It crotched low to the ground and let it's head peer threw the doorway into the bedroom. It was then it spotted it's pray. The pheasant was currently spreading out it's wings and flapping rapidly. Not really to fly, but to stretch them out a bit. It's feathers where fluffed out and spread apart madly. Whiskers used this opportunity to quickly rush the bird. His tail flicked, his but rose in the air, and he quickly darted acrossed the room, lunging into the large wire cage. The loud screaming and hooting of the pheasant could be heard along with crashes and slams as it flapped it's wings and desperately tried to get away from the cat. Ancelin was just coming up the stares when she heard all the commotion. Once she realized this commotion was coming from her bedroom, Ancelin quickly ran threw the apartment to see what was going on. What she found was the pheasant perched up on a fake log towards the ceiling while the cat climbed up in pursuit. Her brow furrowed, and Ancelin quickly reached out to grab her broom. "Get away from my bird!!" Ancelin yelled, causing the cats head to turn in shock at the loud noise. Ancelin charged the cage and reached in, grabbing the cat by the scruff and ripping it out. "MROWL!!" the cat snarled, going into chainsaw mode as it kicked and failed it's body around, claws grasping and cutting whatever it could get it's paws on. Ancelin let out a small scream and threw the cat on the ground. "Get out!" she yelled, duel-hand wielding the broom now as she swung after the cat. It fell to the ground and with it's ears pinned against it's head quickly darted from the bedroom, threw the living room and out of the apartment. Ancelin slammed the door afterwards, before she took a deep breath. "I HATE cats!!" she declared, throwing the broom to the ground.

I HATE Cats!! Once Ancelin had the door slammed and had calmed down a notch, she looked down at her arm which she had grasped the cat with. There where cuts all over, and blood was currently running down her arms to her hand. "I really, really hate cats." An said as she walked back into the bedroom to the bathroom where she kept the first aid kit. The pheasant, who was shocked to be rescued by Ancelin, dismounted from the branch and slowly wobbled out of it's cage and to the bathroom door. Ancelin was currently leaning over the sink running her arm under water to wash away the blood. She didn't notice the bird as she opened up the cabinet and got out a bottle of iodine. "... Erik." said the small pheasant with a deep voice. Ancelin looked up for a minute as if to question if she heard something, before she looked at the doorway where the bird was standing. "What?" she asked. "My name is Erik.. Thank you for saving me." answered the bird. Ancelin let out a bright smile and crouched down. "Erik? That's a really pretty name. Why the change of heart? I thought you hated me." she said, before she realized blood was starting to run again. She quickly stood up and grabbed a wash cloth, resting it over her arm so that it wouldn't stain her clothing. "Because you saved me.." answered Erik, before he woddled closer to the taller pheasant humanoid. "Thank you." An smiled. "You are very welcome, Erik."

Day 5 An sat down on the couch, left arm fully wrapped in gauze. Erik was currently strutting around the living room floor, taking in his new home. Ancelin smiled as she opened up her journal and clicked her pen, before she began her entry. Ever since I saved Erik from the neighbors cat he's been very friendly and talkative towards me. I found out the reason he was so cold was because he was taken from the wild rather than raised in captivity as I had been told. And apparently he was taken away just before the females went into season. Apparently he missed out on his first mating season.. I'll contact the person I purchased him from again. Perhaps I can pull some strings and get him a mate."Hey Erik, how do you feel about going for a walk tonight?" An asked, taking a break from her journal. Erik stopped and turned his head nearly upside-down as he looked to the woman sitting on the couch. "Sounds excellent. May I try this dip in dots again?" An smirked and nodded her head, before she finished the last line of her entry. This looks to be the start of a beautiful friendship.[End]

A Mother's Concern Ancelin unlocked the front door to the Kuronaho household. She was returning home to begin collecting some of her fish. When she entered the house, she was shocked by the sound of yelling. Well, it wasn't the yelling that surprised her, seeing how Damien and Dominic where often very loud, but the people who where yelling surprised her. Arukoru? "I can't believe you did this to me!" Arukoru's voice rung out, coming from the kitchen. Ancelin walked threw the dining room and poked her head threw the kitchen walk way, to find Aru standing by Tenshi. Who had her back turned away, chopping vegetables for a hot pot. "I've had enough of your nasty habits, Arukoru. You need to get over whatever is causing you to drink and smoke your life away." she said, calmly. Being Tenshi was mostly void of emotions, she wouldn't yell. "Nothing I'm doing is illegal! And I'm not hurting anybody!" "You're hurting yourself." Tenshi said, before she turned to face Aru, using her knife as a pointer. "What am I going to do when you give yourself wet brain? You're human, you know. You can die from alcohol abuse just like any other mortal." Arukoru winced, Tenshi had struck a nerve. "If I died that would be a blessing!!" Tenshi sighed and turned back to her chopping plate. "I second that sentiment, but honestly Aru, if you died you would go to Hell, not Heaven." Aru stood there silently for a few minutes. Tenshi turned her head back to him, gaze semi-annoyed and unsympathetic. "You're going to this shrink and that's final. You need a better way to deal with your problems rather than drinking, smoking, and listening to shitty screamo music. Do you realize how many times you've woken me up with that crap?" Tenshi said, before she cleared her throat. "CUZ MY HART IZ IN OHIIIIO." Tenshi mockingly screamed. "Honestly, if my heart was in Ohio, I'd go retrieve it before it picked up some sort of disease." "Tenshi!" Aru barked in frustration. He didn't make fun of the crappy classical music that she listened to. "Hush. My word is final. You're going tomorrow at 3pm. Now shut up and let me finish preparing dinner otherwise it wont be ready." "I'm not going." "You're going, even if I have to drag you there." Ancelin took this opportunity to step in. "I can go with him." She said, stepping into the room. Tenshi glanced over her shoulder and her expression firmed. Vincent had told her what that young man had done to her. She was planning her own revenge, but she was still upset that An had not come to confide in her. Perhaps she wanted to look at this office so she herself could have someone to talk to? If that where the case, she'd give in and leave it to An's disposal. "Very well, I leave him in your hands." She said, before turning her head back to the chopping block. Arukoru threw his hands up in frustration and then began walking out of the kitchen. As he passed An, he let out a low 'Et tu Brutus?' He then in an angry huff left dining room and went threw the hall, heading to the stairs so he could go listen to screamo music in his bedroom. Once Aru was gone, Tenshi turned her head to Ancelin. Her hands still chopping away at a row of carrots. "Is there anything you want to talk to me about, Ancelin?" Tenshi said, suggesting that she already knew. Ancelin, not being the brightest bulb around didn't catch on. She thought for a second, before looking down and shaking her head. "No.. I just came to pick up Angel and a few others." she answered, Tenshi frowned sadly. She set down her knife and walked over to the shorter teenager, before she gave her a firm hug. "I want you to know you can always come to me for anything. I know I haven't been the best friend ever since I returned from my trial.. But that doesn't mean I don't still care about you." she whispered softly. Ancelin's two tone eyes couldn't help but tear up at the tight embrace. Her hands tightly grasped the sides of Tenshi's shirt, and she began crying into her chest. She didn't once bring up what Steve had done to her.

I'm a Witty Title About moving Fish "Ancelin, why are you putting those bags of fish in those bird-baths?" asked Erik from his place on the floor. Ancelin giggled softly as she taped another bag of fish inside an appointed tank. "They're not bird baths, Erik. They're fish tanks. These fish are my pets. I take care of them like I take care of you." She explained, before she moved onto another bag. She had an entire plastic tub full of bags of fish, who where all swimming around and looking up at their loving owner with dumbfounded expressions. "I did not know you had so many 'pets'." Erik said as he eyed a bag with a large black fish in it, it seemed to have teeth. "I've been raising fish ever since I was old enough to walk." An said with a grin. "My collection has just gotten larger with time." "Why are they in these bags? Why not just let them swim free?" asked Erik. "Oh, I'll let them loose in a while. It's just a very delicate process transferring fish, especially ones that are this sensitive. If I where to suddenly pour them out into a temperature different from what they where in before, they'd go into shock and possibly die. This way, the water in the bag will adjust to the temperature in the tank. And in about a half hour I'll let them all free." Ancelin explained, Erik nodded. "Anny, who are you talking to?" came a male voice as Vincent walked back into the room with another tub full of fish bags. "Oh, just little Erik here. He didn't know what I was doing." An said as she nodded to the pheasant, Erik turned his head to the man quizzically and let out a cooing noise. Vincent just rose his eyebrow. "Ooooo-kaaaaay.. Well, what do you want me to do with all these guys?" Vincent answered, giving An a 'you've lost it' expression. "In the living room. All the rest accept for Angel go into the tanks in there." She said. Vincent nodded and walked away. "Why did he look at you like that?" asked Erik. "He doesn't know I can talk to you yet." Ancelin said as she winked. "It's our little secret." "Oh." Erik nodded, before he waddled off. Ancelin smiled and finished taping up the fish in her bedroom, and then went to join Vincent in arranging them in the living room. Only she knew who went into what tank, all Vincent was there to do was transfer them from place to place. Within a few hours, all of An's fish where transferred and in their new homes. At last, Ancelin's new apartment was starting to feel like 'home'.

Flea Market Jewelry FTW "I thought you hated flea markets, An." said Vincent as he walked behind the shorter girl. "I'm not fond of them. They're filthy, and most of the stores reek of pot." Ancelin answered as she lead the man down a set path, as if she knew just where she was going. "Then.. Why did you want to go to one?" "Because there's a woman here who is helping me." Ancelin answered, before she took Vincent's hand and lead him into a specific stall. Above it read a home made sign with gold colored glitter saying 'Custom Gold Jewelry.' "Ah, hello miss. How can I help you?" asked a middle aged woman with crimped red hair sitting behind a counter. There was a small space for items to be set and where the woman could be seen. The rest of the counter was covered in display cases filled with items for sale and examples of her work. Vincent looked at her and smirked. She was cute, just his type. But that didn't explain why Ancelin was here. "Hello, are you miss Abigail?" asked Ancelin. "That I am." answered the woman. "My name is Ancelin, I called you earlier about a special order." "Ooooh yes! You're the girl who wants a rose dipped, am I right?" she asked with a smile. Ancelin smiled as well and nodded her head. "May I see the rose?" Ancelin reached inside her purse and gently pulled out a wooden box. She opened it up and inside resting gently on tissue paper and cloth laid the rose that Jan had given her just a day or so earlier. Abigail took the box, but did not touch the rose itself and gazed at it. She then smiled and looked back up to Ancelin. "I can have this dipped for you, no problem." She said before she set the box on her counter top. "If you look over to the left there is a display case with flowers I have dipped before. Pick which style is your favorite, and I can have it ready for you in one weeks time." Vincent, while listening to the conversation finally caught on to what was going on. Ancelin couldn't just be a normal person and press the flower that Jan had given her. No, with An's lack of know how on plants, she knew she would probably ruin it. So she decided to take it to a professional and have them immortalize it in gold. He watched the pheasant girl walk over to the displace case and hunch over, looking at the various styles. Some where pure gold, where you couldn't tell if a real flower was under it or not. Some where dipped with little different metal like bronze. When Ancelin spotted one flower though, she beamed with delight. "I like the style of B3." She said as she pointed inside the case. The woman got out a piece of paper and began writing, before glancing over to where An was pointing. "No problem. For a rose of this size, it will cost you $200. Is that alright?" she asked, Vincent's eyes bulged slightly at the price. Well.. It was gold.. But could An afford tha- "That's perfect!" She exclaimed as she walked back to the counter. Okay, apparently she could. "Wonderful. You don't have to pay until you come to pick up the rose. I will have her ready for you in one week, and I garentee you I am very experienced so you can trust your treasure in my car." she smiled. "Otherwise you may cut off my pinky." added as she held up her hands. Ancelin nodded her head. "Deal." Vincent gawked at An's reply. Abigail just kept her bright and charming smile. "I'm going to need your contact information, so I can call you if I get it done early." the woman said. Vincent, growing bored, began walking around the booth and looking at various items of jewelry the woman had for sale. She had everything. New gold and silver jewelry. Old antiques. Bracelets, necklaces, rings, you name it. Apparently the woman did this for a living. Now, Vincent was never much one for real jewelry. If he really liked a design, he simply got it tattooed. Thus explaining his arm and neck bands. But he looked anyways. He idly ran his fingers threw a tub containing various rings, picking up one every now and then and trying it on. Vincent eventually picked up a silver turquoise ring and slipped it onto the top of his ring finger. It was a perfect fit. Which was to be expected because Vincent knew his own ring size, and was digging around in the bin that said 'size 10 rings'. He was in the middle of his parents. His mother wore 8's, he wore 10's, and his father wore 11's. After Ancelin had finished giving Abigail her personal information, she walked over to Vincent and glanced over his arm. "Do you like that ring?" Ancelin asked, Vincent held his hand out to her so the smaller girl could see it. "Yeah.. It's pretty nice." He said, Ancelin gently took hold of Vincent's hand and slipped the ring off his finger, before she clenched it in her grasp. "Alright then." She said with a smirk, before she walked off with it. Vincent blinked a few times and watched An walk off, before he reached out to go after her. "Hey! I didn't mean for you to buy it!!" An simply smiled as she continued to walk on. She was about to go to the cash register to pay for it, when something else caught her eye. A bracelet sitting in a wooden display case on a clear plastic hand. Abigail had come out of her little cubical and walked over to An, glancing over her shoulder. She was much taller than the pheasant girl. "Do you like it? That piece is very special, it was made by the person who thought me my craft. And it was the last bracelet he ever made before his accident." she explained, Ancelin looked up at her in shock. "And you're selling it?" she asked, Abigail nodded. "I already have jewelry he made especially for me. It would be selfish for me to keep his last work all to myself. But that doesn't mean I didn't jack the price up really high." She smirked, An nodded. "How much?" "$160." "I'll take it." "And the ring I assume?" "Yup." An said with a firm grin as she held out the ring. The woman took it and then took a set of keys from her pocket. She unlocked the display case and gently took out the bracelet, before she began to walk to the counter. "Right this way then." "Anny, what're you gonna do with the bracelet? You don't wear jewelry." Vincent asked as he followed her, still embarrassed she was buying him the ring. "I'm gonna give it to somebody special." She said, before she went to the counter. Ancelin got out her money purse and paid the woman for the pieces of jewelry, and then went ahead and gave her the money for dipping the rose. The woman packaged the bracelet with white wrapping paper and then put it into a box. Ancelin took the box, and then gave the ring to Vincent. The man put the ring on his hand with a slight flush on his face, looking away. "I'll call you when your rose is finished, miss Ancelin." "Thank you, I'll talk to you then." An smiled. She bowed her head and then took Vincent's hand, leading him out of the store. "Come on, I need to go buy some wrapping paper."

Dust Bunnies Are To Walk The Plank! Ancelin_Kuronaho Ancelin sat at the kitchen table flipping threw a magazine idly while she sipped a glass of lemonade. Her legs where crossed with the foot suspended in air bouncing idly. Yes, Ancelin just seemed to be shootin-the-breeze today. Or so it would seem. She was really just waiting for the wood polish that she had buffed in the main entryway to dry before she continued her cleaning habits. With her balance, she wasn't about to go cleaning on a slippery floor. The girl glanced up at the clock idly, yes, it'd still be another 10 minutes before the wood was dry enough to walk on without it substituting for an ice rink in slipperiness. She turned the page in her issue of cosmo, before she tilted her head oddly at the title. "Tips to Curl Your Guys Toes? Huh?" Rabid Ice Weasel Silas was wandering the streets, as was his way, with a new camera looped around his wrist. He enjoyed taking pictures, now that he had tested the waters, and upon his growth, his father had bought him a new one.
Humming lightly, the boy passed a rather beautiful home and snapped a picture. He checked the digital screen and nodded, smiling. Quite good. He was getting much better at this. Ancelin_Kuronaho Ancelin blinked her eyes as a sudden flash came threw the window she was sitting in front of. The girl turned her head and gazed outside, wanting to know the source. She spotted a young boy with reddish skin outside with a camera.. That had to be it, a camera flash. The girl closed her magazine and set it down on the table before she stood and walked out the side kitchen door. "Hey, are you a photographer?" she asked, speaking loudly so the boy could hear her. Rabid Ice Weasel Silas looked up and smiled, shaking his head.
"I just like to take pictures!" he shouted back. It felt good to know he could be mistaken for one. Ancelin_Kuronaho Ancelin nodded her head and looked down at the steps before her, before she awkwardly hopped down them and began walking acrossed the lawn. She laced her fingers together in front of her as she approached the boy, before extending one hand for a shake. "My name is Ancelin. May I ask yours?" she asked, she immediately assumed that the boy was a member of the mansion from the boys appearance. Rabid Ice Weasel Ancelin! That was a pretty name!
"I'm Silas," the boy answered, "but everyone calls me Sy. Are you a...a...a Sin-iss too?" Ancelin_Kuronaho An smiled, pleased to know her assumption was correct. "A Sin'aeis? Yes. I am. It's nice to meet you Sy." She said before she folded her arms behind her back, shifting her weight. "You remind me of a friend of mine when they where younger." she mused to herself, tilting her head to the side. "Do you live here at the mansion? Or do you have a guardian who takes care of you?" she asked, to be honest, she only knew a handful of other Sin. So she didn't know if they where all adopted out or if some lived in the mansion from birth. She knew she had the invitation to move into the mansion anytime she wanted, but choose not to.. At least for now. Rabid Ice Weasel Sy shook his head.
"I visited once, but I don't live there. I used to live in a tent, but now I live with my dad and his girlfriend." The smile that crossed his face showed just how much he honestly didn't care about where he was living. Ancelin_Kuronaho Ancelin's smile dimmed a little but still remained at that statement as she was reminded of another Sin'aeis and it's guardian. "You'd probably get along with Garrick then.. He and his father are sorta like nomads." She said as her crossed arms shifted from behind her back to her ribs. "I only visit aswell." She added. "I like the mansion and all, but it's just too big for my taste. To live in, anyways. It's a great place to go to meet more people like us, though." Kinda like what she was doing right now. Rabid Ice Weasel Sy just shrugged. He had no idea who Garrick was, after all. How could he judge,or know if he would like him or not?!
"I only met Chaco here. I like to see people in normal places." Ancelin_Kuronaho An nodded her head, she could agree with that sentiment entirely. Out of all the Sin she had met, she really only got along with maybe two or three of them really well. And most of those she hadn't seen since she was very small. "May I see the pictures you took?" she asked as she leaned over slightly. An really didn't know much about cameras. She'd used a couple disposables in her life time, but that was it. Tenshi, her guardian, wasn't fond of them. Always saying stuff about how they steal your souls and other superstitious mumbo jumbo. Rabid Ice Weasel "Sure," Sy shrugged and pulled up the pictures on the screen, moving to stand behind Ancelin so she could see too.
A house, a rabbit in the grass, a mother wheeling an infant in a stroller down the street...and that was it.
"I only grew yesterday. My other pictures are bad." Ancelin_Kuronaho Ancelin ducked her head a little so she could better see the pictures. She smiled when she saw the woman with her stroller. It reminded her of old cartoons where the parents would take their kid out in a fancy stroller. "Those are pretty good though. I really like the bunny." She said with a smile. When the boy commented about growing she nodded, oh, how that brought back memories. "How was the transition? I was asleep when I became a child." the girl explained. Having a sleep over with Jan to be exact. Rabid Ice Weasel Sy, once again, gave a noncommittal shrug.
"Thanks," he said with a smile, "It was in our front yar--huh?" He turned to look at Ancelin and turned off his camera with a free hand.
"Dad and Evie came to get me for a snuggle, and they looked real scared. I just...got bigger. I didn't notice." How observant! Ancelin_Kuronaho Ancelin nodded her head as she took a step away from the boy, getting out of his 'personal space bubble'. "Yeah, it seems to be really sudden with us Sin'aeis. The first two times I grew, it was just sudden and I didn't even realize it happened until my guardian freaked out and my clothes didn't fit. But the last time it was really painful." An frowned. "Kinda like when you get a cramp in your calf, but going threw out your entire body. At least, that's how it was for me." she shrugged. "I don't know if it's like that for anybody else." Rabid Ice Weasel Sy blinked. Jeez...growing suddenly didn't sound like so much fun!
"That sounds like it hurts..." he mused, "I hope it doesn't." Ancelin_Kuronaho "I think it's because I suddenly grew a good foot and a half.." She said as she gently stroked her chin. She then looked the boy over. "It looks like you got the height part down though." She said with an amused smile. She didn't want to make the kid anxious though about the thought of growing. There could of been many reasons why her last experience was painful. "So, what do you like to do besides take pictures?" she asked, changing the subject. Rabid Ice Weasel "Fuzzies," Sy said, nodding resolutely. Oh, what were they really called...
"Road-dants!" he attempted and frowned, "Rodents!" There we go! His grin broke across is face once more.
"I wanna pet rat. Or a mouse. Or a bunny." Ancelin_Kuronaho Ancelin smirked. "We sell all of those at the pet store I work at. I get to feed them every day and change their bedding." she said with a nod. "Every now and again I bring in special treats for them like cheese wheels and carrots. The rabbits go crazy for the clover plants that grow around my guardian's house." Rabid Ice Weasel Sy nodded. That certainly sounded like a wonderful job! This girl used a lot of words, though...
"I should probably get home before Dad comes looking for me." Ancelin_Kuronaho An nodded her head, before she went digging around in her pocket and removed her wallet. "Yeah, I don't want to keep you.. Here, this card has the address to the store and my managers name on it. If you stop in just tell them that Ancelin sent you and you can get a really good discount on a pet rat, if you'd like." She said as she held out the card with one hand, and put her wallet back in her pocket with the other. Rabid Ice Weasel "Thanks!" Sy grinned and threw his arms around Ancelin, hugging her before sprinting off down the street, yelling back to her.
"THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!"

You Flitch, What'cha Readin? Quote: Flitch sat in one of the larger open rooms on the mansion's first floor, unsurprisingly caught up in a book. Home had been too noisy for him as of late, and so once again he found himself retreating to the mansion more and more often. He'd been slightly surprised to find that he was the only one at the mansion on this day, but he doubted it'd remain that way for long. After all, people were always coming and going here. It was only a matter of time until someone showed up. Quote: As it turned out the mansion wouldn't be empty for long. Ancelin walked inside, closing the large front door behind her. She looked around quizically, she hadn't been to the mansion in ages it had seemed. Not since just after the accident that robbed her of her wings. She had come to clean, get a respite from her thoughts that seemed to stay bottled inside in her small apartment. She walked threw the hall and then paused as she came to an entryway to another room. Someone was in there.. Someone slightly familiar. "Hello?" she called out, looking to the blue haired teenager reading in the room. Quote: Startled by the voice, Flitch's head turned sharply in the direction of the noise. Oh. A... A someone he thought he should know. Was that Ancelin? She looked like her from what he could remember. But then again, he could be wrong.... best play it safe.
"Hi," he replied with a smile. "Sorry, didn't hear you come in." Quote: Ancelin smiled as she walked into the room. "No, I'm sorry to disturb you from your book. I just didn't expect anybody to be in here. It's been so long since I've seen another Sin'aeis besides Jan and Garrick." she explained as she walked within non-shouting distance. She then fidgeted with one of her braids. "Forgive me if I'm wrong.. But you would be.." she took a pause, trying to remember the teenagers name. She could place that slightly male apearance and pale blue hair in her mind. ".. Flitch, right?" she asked, squinting a little like she was awaiting to be told she was wrong. Quote: Nod nod. So they'd definitely met. Maybe it was Ancelin. Not like there were that many other Sin'aeis with blue hair, after all. "Yep. And you're... Ancelin?" A nervous smile. "Sorry. It's been a while." Quote: Ancelin nodded her head reassuringly. "Yup! I'm flattered you remembered me. Before I thought the only reason people recognized me was because of the two giant feather dusters coming out of my back." She said with a grin, before she pulled up a seat and sat. "What are you reading? Anything interesting?" Quote: Right. Those giant wings. No wonder she'd looked a little different this time around... aside from being older, of course. Deciding not to press the matter (curious though he was), he glanced at the book in his lap and shrugged.
"Kinda. I found a book of old legends the other day, so I've been reading through and picking out a few things my little brothers might like. There's some neat stuff in it." Quote: Ah Legends. Ancelin nodded her head, although she didn't understand much about those kind of things. Fantasy was never really her gig even though one of her closest friends was a complete nut for it. "Legends? Like hobbits and elves or like big foot and sasquatch?" those where the only kind of legends she knew about. Quote: "Some of them, yeah." Flitch nodded. "But a lot more of them are on things like knights and princesses and witches with curses and adventure. Those sorts of things." Quote: Ancelin nodded her head as she thought it over, Oliver was into those sort of things. "I haven't ready many books like that. But I've seen the ballet version of Swan Lake." after all, that had a princess, a prince and a warlock in it. "I had to have one of my house-mates kinda dictate it for me, but the music and dancing was really beautiful." Quote: "Really? Cool." Music or theatre or dancing had never been strong interest points for Flitch, but it was always fun to hear of people seeing things like that.
"Is there any singing or storytelling in it?" he asked. "I've never been to a ballet myself." Quote: "Well, a story is told. But there's no speaking. Alot of it is really interprative by their actions and the music that's playing." Ancelin explained. "A prince, while on a hunting exipdition, sees a beautiful swan on a lake who turns out to be a cursed princess. He falls in love with her beauty, but it turns out she's the prinsoner of an evil warlock who is in love with her. He begs the princess to come to a party where he must pick a princess to marry, and instead of her, the warlock's daughter comes pretending to be the princess and makes him agree to marry her. In the end, both the princess and the prince kill themselves." she explained, at least, that's how she understood it when she saw it. Quote: "Oooh. What a sad story." Endings like that were rare in the stories Flitch had read, but from personal experience he supposed they'd be the more likely endings to any tale of that sort. Cool. He'd have to look that up sometime.
Not thinking of anything else to cover on that topic, he decided for a change. "So what have you been up to lately? I haven't seen you in forever." Quote: Ancelin thought on that note. She picked from a list of things she had been up to in her mind.. alot of the things where bad, and probably things that wouldn't make for a great conversation with someone she hadn't seen since she was a child. So, she choose the best one she could possibly think of. "Well, I recently got an apartment down town. It's not completely set up yet. But just the other day I moved in all of my fish to their new tanks, and they've all been doing really well." She smiled. "It feels nice to be on my own. Makes me feel more adult, you know?" Quote: Flitch cocked his head slightly. "Really? Your own place?" Having one's own place appealed somewhat to him, though Flitch was simply too used to big families to even consider living on his own. It'd get so lonely! "I still live at home. Mostly to help take care of all my little brothers. The five of them are a lot of work. But it must be exciting living out on your own like that!" Quote: Ancelin smiled and nodded her head. "Most of my house mates are the same age as me. The only small ones are Damien and Dominic, and I can't stand being around those demons." No, literally, one was the spawn of Satan. Or so Tenshi claimed. "I have all my fish, and a pet bird name Erik who keep me company. And some of my house mates come over frequently, so it doesn't get lonely. And it's a small space, so I can easily take care of it and keep it tidy." Quote: Aaah. Pets were good for company, he recalled. Of course, animals were scant in his household. Perhaps he should save up for one someday.
Still, he laughed at the demons line. "I know about little demons. Thankfully only one stirs up any trouble." However, Iya was enough trouble for three or four children alone. Quote: Ancelin shuddered in horror at the thought of Damien. Dominic was tolerable, but put the two together and it was world war 3. "Another perk is it's really close to the pet store I work at. Instead of having to get a car ride every day, it's just a twenty minute walk. I already lost ten pounds with the work out it gives me every day." She chuckled, even though she was never bothered by her weight. Quote: Ooh. Pet store! Now she had him inclined to the notion of pets. "What sort of pets do you have there?" Quote: : Ancelin reached into her purse and dug out her wallet, before she got out a card and held it out to Flitch. "Oh all kinds. We even make special orders for those who request it. Dogs, cats, fish, lizards, rodents. Stop in sometime. I work the first shift Sunday threw Wendseday. If you're interested in buying anything, I can give you a special discount." she smirked. It seemed she was telling alot of sin about this lately. Quote: Gratefully accepting the card, Flitch nodded. "Awesome. I'll definitely have to stop in and see what I could get." Fish would be cool to have, though he'd have to figure how to Iya-proof the tank first. Or maybe something else? Oh, the possibilities!
Inadvertently Flitch glanced over at the clock on the wall. Oh dear, it was getting late! "I'm sorry," he said as he rose from his chair. "I need to head on back. Gotta help with dinner tonight." Sliding the card into his book, he couldn't help but smile. "I'll definitely stop by your shop, though." Quote: : Ancelin glanced at the clock and nodded, before stepping to the side to get out of Flitch's way. "Oh of coarse. I'd hate to make you be late for anything." She said as she slipped her wallet back into her purse. "I look forward to seeing you at the store." she smiled. Quote: "Definitely," he replied as he began to step out towards the door. He offered her one wave as he opened and left. "Can't wait to see it! Thanks again!"

Steve's Been Hurt? YAY!! Ancelin walked into Pet Heaven at 9 am just like she did every Sunday morning. She had just enjoyed a couple off days, which where great because she absolutely did not want to see Steve, but it was time to face the music and to clock in for the day. The young pheasant woman rug out her time card in the back room and rolled out the cleaning trolley. Every day before opening she would clean out the cages and change bedding so that everything stayed neat and tidy for incoming customers. Ancelin was preparing to open up the puppy cages, before she suddenly felt a hand on her shoulder. She shot around quickly and gasped, only to see Sarah. "Oh.. Sarah. What's up?" she asked, the shorter girl had a very concerned look on her face. "I've been trying to get a hold of you for days, Steve had to go to the hospital." The girl said, Ancelin blinked. "What?" "On the day you left early, after you where gone, I went in to go get some more blue collars for the display, and I found Steve beat up in the back room. I had to take him to the hospital, he's got two cracked ribs and a broken nose. Someone beat him to a pulp, black eye, busted lip and everything." Sarah explained, horrified. "I didn't see anybody go into the back room, and he wouldn't say who did it." Ancelin's face went pale and her eyes grew wide. "What day did you say this happened?" "Last Wednesday, after you left work early with that girl." Sarah replied, Ancelin frowned and stayed silent for a few minutes. "I think you should go see him." Sarah added, Ancelin shook her head and blurted out. "If I had my way I'd never see that b*****d again!" she screamed, causing the blond to step back in shock. Ancelin, realizing that she had just snapped at her co-worker, relaxed and sighed. "I'm sorry.. I didn't mean to yell at you like that. I'll give Steve a call later." she said. Sarah nodded. "It's okay.. Did something happen between you two? You know you can always come to me for anything, Anny." "I know, Sarah.. But this is just something you're better off not knowing." An said softly. "Can you call some of the others in?" An asked. "I have some stuff I need to look into." Sarah smiled and shook her head. "I already called in Margie and Jason. I figured you would want to go see Steve. Go ahead, I've got you covered." "Thanks Sarah." An said as she gave the shorter girl a hug. Sarah returned the gesture and pat the girls back. "I'll call you later." An said. "I'll be waiting." Sarah replied with a grin. Ancelin put down the cleaning bottle that she was holding and quickly left the building. She had more people to call than just Steve.

What DId You Do?! The front door to the Kuronaho household opened and slammed. Before anyone could realize who it was who entered, the person had already shot threw the living room and into the first floor hallway. A fist pounded furiously on a wooden door, and it only stopped once the door knob turned and it opened. Vincent, who was the one who opened the door, saw a very flustered and furious Ancelin. "What did you do?!" she screamed. Vincent took a step back and blinked. "Woah! What did I do when? What are you talking about?" Vincent asked as he rose his hand in a defensive manor. Ancelin placed two hands on Vincent's chest and gave him a good shove, before she walked into his bedroom and slammed the door. "To Steve! What did you do?! He was sent to the hospital! He has cracked ribs! It happened after Jan came and picked me up, treating me better than she has for years! WHAT DID YOU TELL HER?!" Ancelin yelled, loud enough for the entire household to hear. "I didn't do anything to Steve!" Vincent yelled back, not appreciating the accusation. "All I told Jan was that Steve hurt you and that she should go see you! I didn't tell her what he actually did!!" Ancelin let out a loud high bitched growl and threw her arms over her head, walking a crossed the room. "I didn't want Jan to know!! If I did I would of called her! I can't believe you told her! And then you used her to get me out of the store so you could attack Steve!" Ancelin accused. Vincent walked over and spun Ancelin around, grabbing her by the shoulders. "I'm trying to tell you that I didn't do anything to Steve! Believe me, I plan on getting my hands on him soon enough, but I didn't beat him up! And Jan doesn't know you where raped!" Vincent said, his voice suddenly dropping in volume at the last sentence so that nobody else would hear. "Who all did you tell…?" Ancelin said, as she began to cry. "Just Ma and Jan.. And all Jan knows is that he hurt ya. Nothing more. For all she knows, he mighta stood ya up on a date." Vincent said, his voice getting softer. Ancelin looked up at him, trying to keep an angry expression despite her tears. "Then who hurt him? If nobody else knows." "It was Jan. The day she came to get you. She called me and told me that he was taken care of. I can only assume that means she did it." Ancelin put her hands to her face as she let out a loud sob. "I didn't want Jan to know!" she cried. Vincent frowned and wrapped his arms around the girl, holding her. "I'm sorry.. I didn't realize it would upset you so much for her to know.. I just wanted her to come and cheer ya up." "All that kindness was just because she felt sorry for me.." An sniffed as she clenched onto Vincent's beater, using it for a tissue. "That's not true…" Vincent said softly. "Maybe you should call her..?" he suggested, Ancelin sniffed. "I'm afraid. I don't know what she'll think when she founds out that I'm dirty now." "You're not dirty!" Vincent said as he lifted up An's chin, looking her in the eyes. "None of this is your fault! You didn't do anything wrong!" "I should of screamed! I should of started yelling! But I was so shocked and confused I didn't know what to do!" "You didn't do anything wrong!" Vincent said again, hugging the girl tighter. "You didn't do anything wrong.." he whispered. The door opened and Tenshi stepped inside. She frowned as she looked to the two, Ancelin was too busy crying. "I heard screaming.." Tenshi said softly, her eyes directed at Ancelin. Vincent frowned. "Jan attacked Steve." he explained. Ancelin shook her head. "No.. Maybe it was somebody else. Maybe she didn't do it." An said, defending her crush's case. "Why would it be a bad thing if she did? Steve deserves a lot worse than what he got. And if Jan did that, it's because she cares about you." Tenshi said as she walked over to the two, setting her hand on An's back. Ancelin sniffled. "I didn't want anybody to know.. I didn't want her to know." An said, her words hardly distinguishable between her chokes and cries. Tenshi hugged Ancelin from behind, wrapping her arms around the girl's stomach while Vincent's arms stayed around her shoulders. Both continued to comfort Ancelin, speaking to her softly, while the girl cried and muttered. "I didn't want Jani to know.."
