Jack grimaces at the sound of cooks "specialty". "I was too." He turns his attention to the new sailor. "Everybody aboard has their story. I lost my parents to a gambling debt my father couldn't pay off."

Hope blinked, looking at his outstretched hand for a moment before holding onto it tightly, a bit nervous at the mention of traveling differently. "W-what do you mean you travel different..?" she asked quietly, looking up at him as she clutched onto the small dragon with her free arm.

"You will see. Just hold on tight." Once again shadows on the ground start to ripple and swirl around them forming a bubble. The bubble then starts to sink into the ground.

Hope's eyes widened when the shadows began to move, which frightened her despite Shade's presance. Her slender hand clutched onto him tightly as she turned and buried her face against him, keeping her eyes closed so she couldn't see what was happening.

Once the bubble vanishes completely they start to rise beside the dragon. "You can open your eyes now, we're here."

Slowly she opened her eyes, turning her head to look around a bit before jumping, startled by the massive size of the sleeping dragon nearby. "I-it's big..!" she said, stepping back a little as she held the smaller dragon in her free arm.
Xavier, who had been bored nearly to death, had fallen asleep. Even as they came up beside him his body didn't feel threatened enough to wake himself up. So he continued to breath deeply, lazily sleeping away the day.

Shade approaches the dragon. "Hello again. As promised I have come back with her. Of course, If you would rather sleep, we can be on our way."
