i was being sarcastic since glowing is way better than carved symbols. another thing are we sure atlantis gate don't have carved symbols they might have them two im pretty sure all the stargates except for the random made ones.

The little lights are connected by lines, but I don't know what the lines are made of.

if it was light then that means the gate would be constantly taking power because light doesn't make itself.
i got another placed question is there in naquadah in the Pegasus galaxy if not what are the gates made of. and what is the Atlantis gate made of.

I'd think there was. If not, hey, there's something else to write about!
The SGC gate lights up, too. Besides, the Atlantis gate isn't always lit.

i doubt theres any naquadah in the pegasus galaxy i think its just indigenous to the milky way. there should be an episode where they mention something that the gates in the pegasus galaxy are made of. a discovery by rodney or something. more energy in 1 ton of naquadah than in 20 lbs of the new substance. revolutionizing there ships and x302s in the process.
i came across this discussion between people in this random forum they were talking about the x301 x302 x303 and x304. one guy said that there wasn't a such thing as an x304 at all and this was in the middle of season 3 on Atlantis. i just kept laughing at him he wouldn't budge in his statement i sent him proof of deadulus pictures and odyssey pictures with the word x304 on the side he still wouldn't say that i was right. he kept saying that they were x303's. Just goes to show how stubborn people will be to win an argument that doesn't matter and is irrelevant knowing that your wrong.

There's really no way to know about the power source. We can only speculate.
I had trouble grasping the 304 thing at first. They never expressly used the number until the Russians got theirs.

im pretty sure on the screen during moebius part 1 season 8 of stargate sg-1 it had the schematics to the ship on a computer and above it in big symbols was x-304

i am pretty sure that the sg-1 gate is made of plastic
and the the atlantis gate is made of rubber but if you would like to think naquadah be my guest
