Marael looked at Ichnel in surprise as he handed her three healing potions, and she carefully stowed them in a pouch for later, nodding to the dark elf in appreciation.

Her attention was drawn away from the elves as Gabe stops his wandering to go inspect a window near Luke, Marael frowns, watching the pair of them. She didn't see anything, but the panther's senses were better than her own.

But before she could do anything, her attention was drawn back to the three elves, who were studying Luke, Valerye, and another girl whose name she hadn't caught. Undoubtedly they'd noticed the magic that seemed to float around those three. Marael had, of course, noticed it during their travels, but hadn't thought to explain anything about it.

After Haylin's speech, Marael nodded to herself, glancing around at the group of humans. She too, had heard tales of these humans, and none of them were complementary. A small smile played about her lips as her eyes flicked to Ichnel and then back to Haylin. That's what I get for listening to Bards. She thought. At this point, she was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. So far, they hadn't shown any of their fabled destructive tendencies. As long as they didn't she saw no reason to hold that against them.

She nodded as Emmia looked over at her, then looked at the group of humans. "There is no need to worry. You'll be safe in Bredia, I am sure." Her eyes lingered over the weapon in Haylin's hand. "If you would like some instruction with your weapons, I am sure one of us can help you."

((I know this is choppy...sorry about that...))

((OOC: Ummmm..... I tried adding my character in so that I didn't just suddenly appear, but having him in a separate scene makes it very difficult to RP him.... could someone perhaps notice he's missing and go looking or something... I really don't know what else to do except have him go wandering into the village which requires that I find a page that describes it when they first arrived there.... and that could take a while.

Otherwise I'm open to suggestions for a better way to add him... meaning I'd delete my first post and begin again.))

"You came here through a door?" Ichnel asked sharply," What it a simple door with an elegant handle?"

If that was indeed how they'd arrived...he needed to have them speak with the village elder immediately. Ichnel's eyes took on a mixture of blue, grey, and a little red. The blue for sadness, the grey for worry, and the red for a little anger. If the Legend of the Door was true and based on what the elder told him...these poor young humans were in for a lot of trouble as well as the elves. What a hand for fate to deal them. And it certainly explained why they all had lethal weapons on them...

Ichnel faced the other elves within the room and talking to Lae, said," Lae, I think it'd be best if you took your guests to your home as quickly as possible. There is something I must to attend to and quickly. Would it be alright if I stopped by afterwards?"

If Ichnel's suspicions were right...he needed to move quickly.


((I figured that the elder of the village would be old enought to know what really happened to the humans or have had older relatives who did and then told him about it. Er...just how old is the elder Destiny? I'm figuring at least in the 800's maybe more. Anyhoo, I'm figuring that some elves would know about the door as it exists on both earth and the elven world. Ichnel would know about the legend because of how much time he spends with the elder (no one else except maybe a few and Lae and Emmia will talk to him). If this is too presumptuous on my part, please let met know so I can make changes!))

((Crap... I really want to post but I still want to wait for Destiny... ah the heck with it.))

Emmiadora couldn't quite contain her joy at being asked to display her fire magick. A marvelous smile spread cross her face as she thought of what she would do to explain it, when the presence Luke and Gabe seemed to notice suddenly caught her attention. She was completely thrown off from her original joy as the feeling set in and she looked from Lae, to Ichnel, since he had now picked up on it as well.
She turned back to Jeni in haste.
"A lesson I'm afraid must wait, for now. However, I do promise to show you all, not to worry." she said with a grin that wasn't nearly as brilliant as the smile she'd worn earlier.
Her eyes seemed to mix with hues of fusia and grey as well. Fusia to show her pent up excitement and adrenaline at the sign of danger and grey for the flare of worry. 'How could I have let this feeling be ignored for so long?' she asked herself in thought. 'I could have said something earlier had I been paying attention.' But now wasn't the time for fret. She moved towards the back of the greenhouse, beckoning them all to follow. She snapped her fingers and out of nothing popped her blade staff right into her hand. Golden dust poofed forth at the staff's sudden appearance, which obviously irritated Emmia that the annoying glitter had still not flecked off quite yet.

"Best to exit through the back, away from that window. Come on now, all of you. We haven't much time to loose. Something's out there and I'm pretty sure it's not here for Redbell petals..." she said, trying to usher them out of Ichnel's thriving home.
