Nereida nodded understandingly at the temporary leader. "I'll check in once there," she said, before turning and dashing off. She loved the telepathy that came with being a scout of the tribe, regardless of how one-way it was. But with other Scouts it wasn't one-way, and Merlin was another scout. As she ran towards the tip of the island she was on, Nereida concentrated on her mate, on communicating with him.

'Merlin?' She thought questioningly, hoping this worked. She wasn't accustomed to using this ability, she hadn't really had a use for it until now. But now that she remembered she could, it woudl be very helpful in this search for Ianthe.
