"Well that all depends on if the conversation and the drink are any good. I mean, if its a bad drink and mediocre talking, then I choose to irritate Karma until he gives up and gets fun, but if its good drink and fun people then yes, please." Levi smiled, a typical drawn out answer just to take place of a simple "maybe". He leaned back in his chair and smiled at Charles. He wasn't one of the mafia members who Levi talked to often, being as he mostly kept to himself and Miles, and, to Levi, he seemed a little too into his work. It wasn't, though, that the younger man didn't work, it was more that... Levi pondered this. It was more that he knew when he was needed and when he wasn't. And he most definitely appreciated not being needed all the time. But he also liked his job, it was more fun than a lot of people in what he liked to call the "real world." And he did it when he was needed, and took his fun time when it was given to him. Yeah, really no use in working yourself to death, I mean, what are you going to get out of it? Yeah. Nothing. Thats right. Nothing.

A pleasant chuckled escaped Charles lips as he called over one of the waitresses floating around the bar. He whispered something in her ear and her eyes scanned the men at the table, stopping briefly on Xavier but then continuing on. He ordered the most expensive drinks he that the bar had and gave the waitress a hefty tip. She gave a gracious nod of the head and wandered off to get the drinks. Charles’ attention was then on Levi again. What conversation would be good to this one? Charles wondered. ”I saw you talking to a girl over there.” He gave a casual wave to where he had earlier seen Levi conversing with a girl. ”Are you taking her out?” He said with a curious smile.

"No, not yet, but that is the intention." Levi shrugged. It had been a little while since he had been continually seeing a girl, they didn't seem to want to stay with mafia kids. Particularly not small, slightly feminine ones. "I did manage to get her number, though. Step in the right direction, methinks. But really, it doesn't seem to matter much at the moment. How's your life going, anyways?"

Charles shrugged. "Life is, well, life." He gave another chuckle. His wife had been on him about spending more time at home lately with the kids and herself, but it was hard for Charles to do it. He really wanted to be around for his kids, but his wife had known of his life style when they had gotten together. Even though he loved his family dearly, almost as much as life itself, the thought of quitting the mafia never even began to cross his mind. "A lot of work to do and a lot going on back at home," He said, "Apparently Jared," His oldest, "is starting self defense classes." Charles sighed and sat back in his seat. At that moment the waitress came back and set a drink infront of Levi, Karma, and Charles. He nodded to her and took a drink of the liquid, savoring it. It would be his last drink of the night. He looked at his watch and noticed the time. Any minute now, she will be calling. He thought almost warily, To make sure I'm alive still. The thought made him shake his head and take another drink. "How is your life?" Charles said after he set his drink down, asking Levi's question back to him.

"It is... " Levi pondered this, drinking from the glass that had been set in front of him. "It is a life. Neither particularly exciting or dull." He would never admit it, not in public at least, but there were times when he envied what he considered to be the security of Charles' life. Levi had no one to go home to when he wasn't working, really, the mafia was the only family he had. "Thanks for the drink, though." Levi nodded, brushing a piece of electric blue hair away from his face. "Going to try make it back home tonight? Doesn't look like much else is going to happen, 'sides Xav making more of an a** of himself. He's a funny drunk, at least." Levi grinned and drank again.

From the moment that Xavier became quiet, Maddox began gingerly moving all forms of alcohol and empty shot glasses out of Xavier's immediate reach. One of these days... Maddox shook his head minutely. After clearing the table away, Maddox turned to look at his brother, to perhaps assess his condition. Xavier seemed to almost be sleeping, his head hanging and unusually silent. "Xavier?" Maddox reached a hand out to shake his brother's shoulder but before he even touched the teen, Xavier fell straight out of his chair, causing Maddox to jump slightly in surprise. Upon seeing his brother drop to the floor, Maddox was only able to stifle a laugh for a few seconds before he couldn't restrain himself.

Xavier righted himself as quickly as he could when his whole body fell to the floor. The impact jerked him out of his unconscious state. The ’thud’ of him landing on the floor was accompanied by the sound of his head smacking against the table as he sat up, unaware of his surroundings. ”Ow!” He complained loudly. It took him a moment to realize where exactly he was before it hit him as to why he suddenly felt sick. He took in a long breath, hand on his head, before trying to make a sentence that didn’t start with ‘my head hurts’. Seeing Maddox laughing brought a state of confusion onto Xavier, but the confusion was the last thing he was able to think about before his eyes closed again and he was passed out cold on the floor.

Charles smiled at the response that Levi gave him, a fatherly sort of smile. It was amusing to him how Levi never gave a particularly straight answer, but he always got his point across. ”You’re welcome.” He said, quietly when Levi thanked him, and drank from his own glass. The alcohol was a little sweet, but it went down smoothly. Charles took in a long breath before answering Levi’s next question. It wasn’t a hard answer, Charles just didn’t particularly think that he wanted to go home that night. It had been a long time since he’d stayed with the group he worked with, and even though the night hadn’t gone as planned, it was the most fun of the sort that Charles had had in a while. When he wasn’t working, he was with his family, and the other way around. Even though he would never say it out loud, he sometimes missed life before his family, but he would still do anything for them, and there was never really a day that he regretted them in the least. ”Yes.” He said after another drag from the cigarette. ”I will be going home in a bit.” In that moment, his attention turned to Maddox’s laughter and the obvious confusion and hurt on Xavier’s face. He shook his head. ”Levi?” He questioned, ”Do you think that maybe you could help Maddox take Xavier to the car? I don’t think he can walk.” Charles finished his drink and pulled some money from his pocket. Standing, he placed the bills on the table and said, ”I’ll cover the tip tonight.” He smiled to those at the table and said goodnight to each of them in turn and bid them a safe trip home, before walking out the front door to go home.

"Yeah, thanks, I think I can manage that." Levi stood and made his way over to Xavier, who he crouched beside. "Right-o Xav, think you've had a bit much." He knew full well that Xavier couldn't hear him, but he talked to his friend anyways. "So methinks we should be making our way home for the night. Come on, buddy." He put one of Xaviers arms around his shoulders and hefted the other man, dragging him out to the waiting cars, and put him inside, sitting with him to return to the mansion.

Xavier clicked away on his laptop and shifted slightly. He was sitting on one of the many window seats that lined the hallway of the second floor. His gaze left his work momentarily and he watched the trees move slightly in the wind, a sigh escaped his lips. Kyrin had been missing for three days since they left the bar and it made Xay somewhat depressed. He knew that she had to be alright or else his Uncle would rip up the entire city, but it still bugged him that she didn’t tell anyone where she had gone. Oh Ky…
The work load since the night at the bar had increased and Xavier had fallen very far behind on his part of the most recent operation because of the hangover he had endured the day following his drinking escapade. He needed to catch up but he was bored and the fact that Jaydn was in a foul mood wasn’t motivating him at all. Xavier had watched Jaydn search, near panicked, through the mansion and then race through the lower city on his motorcycle. Xavier had gone with him on the ride, but they hadn’t found her anywhere. Xavier told Jaydn that he should ask his Uncle cause maybe Ky had gone for a visit, but Jaydn said no. Xay figured Jaydn was afraid of what would happen to him if Ky wasn’t with Han. Xavier stared at his monitor before typing feverously for a moment. He stood suddenly and clicked his laptop shut. Shoving it off his lap and onto the cushion he listened for a moment.
A loud thud resonated through the mansion for what seemed to be forever, and Xavier watched some of the Coyotes look around confused. A smile lit his lips as he raced to the top of the stairs, hoping that it was Ky that slammed the door. His eyes drifted first to the black panther trotting faithfully beside the heels of the entrant, but when he saw who the great cat followed his heart sank. It was just Jaydn. Jaydn had gone out again to look for Ky, and Xavier could tell by his expression and mood that he hadn’t seen her. This upset Xavier,”Jaydn!” Xavier said, his tone nearly a whine,”Why haven’t you found Ky yet? Its so boring around here without her.” Xavier wandered down a couple stairs, his eyes holding Jaydn’s.”You should just go and ask Uncle Han. He would know and I’m sure he isn’t going to be too mad that you managed to lose his daughter.”

Levi had been relishing in the workload, delighting at the opportunity to once again play mafia boy. He missed both Kyrin, and that dark haired boy... What was his name again... With the blue eyes... Ah well. That guy. He's gone. So's Kyrin. Maybe together? Levi's mind conjured old movie reel style runaways of the pair, and he laughed along with them. Probably not. Think the kid with the blue eyes is gay anyhow. Heheh. Were I to option that way, I'd go for him, too. But, he didn't, and his interests were currently in the redhead Flogging Molly fan he had met at the bar. He'd been seeing her, too, when he wasn't working.

The day after Jaydn had discovered Kyrin’s ‘big news’, there was little to be said between them. He avoided confrontation with his cousin at all cost, unsure of what to say to her and not sure that he should have anything to say to her at all. It was a kind of awkwardness between the two that was completely unfamiliar to Jaydn, having been with Kyrin all her life and never before feeling as if he couldn’t even look at her, much less make conversation.
So it was only until two days after the gathering at the bar that Jaydn realized that without even trying, he wasn’t seeing his cousin about the mansion at all. Interrogation of all his men clued Jaydn in on only one thing concerning the disappearance, Kyrin had gone missing but no one knew exactly when. Jaydn knew it was no coincidence that she left so soon after their argument and so he felt it was entirely his fault.
Accompanied by Xavier at first, who was just as bewildered about their cousin’s absence, Jaydn had spent the past few day’s scouring the lower city, worried about Kyrin’s health not only because she was, and always would be, his favorite cousin but because if anything was compromising her health, Jaydn himself would be thoroughly screwed. Han wouldn’t appreciate the lack of responsibility in Jaydn for not being able to watching at the mafia princess so Jaydn made no move to seek his help or advice in the matter, as much as Xavier insisted they should.
The search remained fruitless through the days and Jaydn was beginning to theorize if perhaps Kyrin had not left but as taken forcibly. This thought of course targeted his first suspect in the idea: Draven. Thinking over the past few days, Jaydn hadn’t even caught a glimpse Draven in ages which was suspicious in and of itself. It was an idea: That Kyrin felt so rejected by Jaydn’s reaction that she felt the only one who would accept her was Draven, with whom she eloped, and that was the reason for her disappearance. Jaydn had only contemplated the thought for a few minutes before realizing that Kyrin, while irrational at times, was in no way stupid and so that outcome wasn’t very likely. Even so, Draven became someone who Jaydn was also concerned with finding, having forgotten the man and his “crime” in the panic of losing Kyrin and now wanting to take revenge.
Returning to the mansion once again having found no one he was looking for and thusly being in a horrible disposition, Jaydn slammed the front door behind him, startling the men who had been walking on eggshells about the mansion. Those within Jaydn’s eyesight rather quickly entered other rooms, the only remaining presence being Kyrin’s pet panther, who Jaydn was not the least bit pleased to find had taken to following him when its master had disappeared. The giant cat came and went when it wanted and it annoyed Jaydn to no end that he never knew when it was going to show itself and that it always carried around itself that smug superior attitude.
Only moments after entering the mansion did Jaydn find his youngest brother rushing towards the front door, just to stop short of the stairs once he realized it was only Jaydn and not Kyrin. Upon hearing Xavier’s suggestion, Jaydn shoot a glare at his youngest brother. “Sure, I’ll tell him. It’s not like I value my life or reputation or anything.” He stood in the middle of the foyer, watching his men as they went about their business in the other rooms of the mansion. Turning to Xavier, Jaydn asked, “Why haven’t you found her? The internet failing you?”

Now Xavier’s eyes narrowed, matching Jaydn’s expression almost perfectly. He laughed low, mockingly, before saying, “Well aren’t you a funny one.” He walked down the remaining stairs until he was standing only a foot away from Jaydn and stared at him for a moment, the tension in the room mounting. “Unfortunately for you, Ky isn’t my responsibility and I am sure Uncle Han would be very appreciative to whomever might let him know that Ky isn’t currently present in the mansion.” He paused, “And hasn’t been in days.”

“Is that you, Jaydn? I thought I heard-” Entering from the kitchen, Maddox allowed his words to trail off as he found his brothers in the foyer, Jaydn with one hand pulling Xavier close by his shirt collar and the other pulled back and balled into a fist, and Xavier looking into the face of his attacker with an expression of both surprise and smugness. A deep rumbling brought Maddox’s attention to the large black panther that was at odds with the whole situation. Maddox had found it odd at first when he realized that Osiris had followed Jaydn about the mansion when Kyrin left them. Thinking it over now though it was no surprise that the big cat turned now to Jaydn. Jaydn carried the confidence that Kyrin had. It was simply ironic and rather funny to Maddox because of how little Jaydn enjoyed the panther’s company.

Jaydn’s only sensation at the time was the blood that was rushing to his head. Maddox’s presence was lost to the angry man. Jaydn let his frustration go with his fist as it came into contact with the side of Xavier’s face. I can’t kill him but I sure as hell can beat the s**t out of the brat. As the youngest Matsui stumbled back from the blow, Jaydn scowled, “If Ky gets hurt, you’re dead too.”
