"Thehn shouldnah they mahde iht grheen?" Arch scratched his slightly unshaven chin. "Ahd thihnk they'hd doh somethihn creatihve wihth iht. Mabeh a monkeh hea' ohr thea'..." Arch glanced around, grinning.
"Ahn...ahn a hehlmeht o'ehr thea', ahn a suhn witth a ciggerette ahn shahdes ahn the ceilihng!"

Ruby grinned, "See sugar pie, it's got you thinkin' creative already. I'd say it works right well. Now what kinda glitter do you wanna pick up, and should we stick with the cheep or brand name sparkles?....and yes, there is a difference between glitter and sparkles."

Ruby sang a song under her breath, using the lyrics from one song, and the tune of another. She picked up a few fuzz balls and examined them, grabbed a packet of glitter, another of sparkles, and went in the direction of the plastic buttons. She remained completely unphased as there was a loud explosion blowing up one of the store walls. As five men with guns and masks and shirts with H-for-H written in bold letters, stormed through the store, ruby held up a set of plastic heart buttons, "Hey sug, would these match the one belt I have, or are they a little off color?"

(H-for-H is Humans for Humans, a terrorist group that is trying to make a statement against supers by acts of terror...and yes, I was bored...)

Ruby shrugged and put the buttons in the basket with the rest. "I can always match 'em with somethin' else if they don't, or not bother matchin' 'em at all." She paused by a package of pink feathers and picked them up to look at the price. She made a sour face and put them back. "It'd be cheaper just to use yours an' dye 'em pink, an' yours are a hellofa lot prettier too." She glanced back at him. "You don't mind do you?"

She flinched as one of the five men started firing on the crowd, yelling at them to get down on the floor. "Spose we'll have to deal with this first."

Ruby sighed, "Sug, it ain't about money necessarily, but on what you're spendin' it on actually bein' worth the price. But if you ain't against it." She slipped the feathers into the basket without another word.

"Careful, sugar," She whispered as she followed after Arch towards the shooters. She stayed close to him, more in the mind of being his backup should he need it rather than seeking protection.

"DOWN ON THE GROUND!" The lead man pointed his gun at Arch's head, grabbed his shoulder and pushed him towards the ground.

Ruby held back the urge to scream, but her eyes had gone a bit wide, and her face even more pale than usual.

The other four men fired back, though the bullets went into the corpse held up in front of Arch, the one bullet that wouldn't have was deflected by a line of blood. Two of the men went down with the bullets, but the last two turned and ran through the hole in the wall, they hated supers but weren't prepared to die for that hatred.
