Umbra laughed again, and then nodded. He etched "of course" into her hand, and then chuckled.

Umbra gave a slight scowl, and then grinned. His shadow slithered across the table, reared up, and then rapped her in the forehead.

The Shadow Cloak quivered, but Laurel quieted it with a mental command. "You can move your shadow? Is that what they mean by 'shadow boxing'?" She paused for a moment in thought. "The Kama Sutra wasn't the only book in my father's library. I've learned a few tricks of my own." She spoke a few words in an odd language and the light in the room dimmed, as if a cloud had blocked the sun. A moment later, she spoke again the the light returned to normal.

Umbra shivered as the lights went out, and shook his head violently when they came back on. He didn't like it when he couldn't see. He smiled when all was back to normal, and then laughed a little.

smile Laurel took the offered hand, and stood. As they walked out, she asked, "So you're a superhero, huh? Like in that movie, The Fantastic Four?"
