nightingale101 Noraboo nightingale101 not to be of topic but this is a bit of an emergency do any of you know anything about guinea pig eating habbits. Because my guinea pig "cinnamon girl" has lost her appetite a bit since she has pnemonia and im trying to mush up her pellets and put them in a surenge to feed her but i cant get the pellets soft enough have any recomendations please? Hmm. I've had a few guinea pigs. You may need to lug her to the vet if you haven't been and give her antibiotics. Otherwise, your best bet is to try and give her soft oatmeal and then syringe vitamin suppliments into her. Guinea pigs get sick most often from two things, colds and constipation, so you need to get her to a vet quick for medicine if you can. Make sure that you give her vitamins with vitamin C in them and keep her in a very quiet, dark place where she can relax. But what you really need are antibiotics from the vet. Guinea pigs get pneumonia often, they're really prone to respiratory infections, and you can only kill them with hardcore drugs. pets are so expensive. sweatdrop I have already taken her to the vet and gotten her antibiotics, and she has had them today. Do i surrenge the oatmeal to her or what? and thankyou!!! If she isn't eating, then yeah, you really need to make sure she eats as well as gets the antibiotics. I'd make a very very soft food for her, soak either oatmeal or her pellets in water for a long time and then mash them up, and make then very very soft, and syringe a bit into her (you want to make sure she doesn't get constipated and so gets lots of fluids, as guinea pigs can get constipated and sick very easily). any food is better than none, and that combined withthe antitibotics, which you need to be really rigiorous in giving to her, should help her. I recently had a very sick kitty and had to syringe antibiotics down her twice a day. It wasn't fun, but it paid off in the end. good luck!

That's why I hate little animals,they get sick to easy.I had a hamster when I was younger,I let him roam free in the house and my cat ate him... eek

I have soaked ehr pellets in water and constantly smashed them up. But the surrenge is barely sucking it up and when i shoot it out it like flys out really fast and im afraid of her choking.
