I don't know why, but I like her. She may have been a ditz, but she was willing to learn things and was sweet. Also, she seemed to me to be pretty close to family - he even seemed sad in that way when she left. I do prefer the highly intelligent Liz Shaw, and I really wish she was up here, but she isn't.

I liked Liz, but I couldn't get close to her as a character. Jo just seemed more open and she had longer to develope. She also made a great opposite for Petwee to work against.

Actually, in fairness to Jo, I did have moments of warming to her. It was only odd episodes where she really annoyed me, like her final one (The Green Death was it?) where she was suddenly ultra clumsy/stupid/girly all at the same time and wore that silly fur coat thing. Then got married. Eh?
Other than that I don't mind her so much... except in comparison to Liz.

I thought it was... rather silly! It was pretty fun to watch but - as I have asked before - why is our planet full of glowing goo that turns people into heat-resistant werewolves?
Also... poor Benton!
Evil Liz was quite good, same with the Brig. And it was pretty impressive story-telling too. I liked it.

As to Jo going off to the Amazon. I saw an interview with the Actress who said something along the lines of "She was hypnotised by the Master when she married him. She got about two miles down the Amazon then got a divorce and went back to working at UNIT"
tehe, I thought the guy she married was a bit cute actually...
