froggyfluf there was a kid in our band that used to keep track of our 'band family tree'. he graduated *tear*, but he had about 4-5 years worth of relationships within the band plotted out on a huge piece of paper. you know we got problems when you start mapping squares and octagons. O.O I started doing something like that!! I ultimately decided to wait until I could put together a proper site or program to map out the whle thing.... *shrug* Anyways, lots of band-lationships in our band, which really does an interesting number on the whole, "The band is a family" thing. SO yeah. It is fun to watch the rel-- er, I mean, band-lationships, though...

It's sort of a rule in our band that no one in band dates outside the band... The last chair flute's been going out with the second chair trumpet for almost a year... Our sax section leader's the only one who's broken the rule. I've actually never had a crush on someone outside of band for two years, which is about the time I proclaimed myself a band geek. It's always been trumpets, trombones, or saxes. In the current case with me it's a percussionist, but you didn't need to know that. xp

How about a perosn who keeps it a rule NOT to date in the band?
It's only because I've been there forever and I know how everyone is in the band. It would be like dating my brother. Though I did happen to do that this year. Never again. The guy was dating 4 girls outside of band. >_> Now, I could've been mean and got the whole band to beat him up, but I was being nice since he came from one of our rival schools and everyone hated him anyway. (Thus the reason I even dated him because he wasn't "born" from my school.)
But everyone dates/sleeps with everyone else in the band. Technically, I'm the mother of about 10 kids in the band right now. XD My favoite would be a soph-tie named Scott. He's so cute! But he's pressing to know who his "father" is. When I told him that he was an accident he cried. XD It was hilarious.

At our (me and McGahee21's, yes we know eachother) school, if your in band there is a very slim chance that your gf/bf will not be in band sweatdrop

There's about 65 kids total in our band, and there's like 1400+ kids in our school. Hard to find someone in band. >> (I say this having had a crush on a sax player ever since starting high school. XD)

The one band-lationship that's really well known:
The clarinet section leader and the sax section leader. *Cough* The seniors egged 'em into it on the way to Salem, (I was on that bus), they hooked up AT Salem, and now every single time I see the they're like.... makingout in the flute corner or something.
We used to have band sleepovers at the school for one night until about 5 years ago. The seniors weren't even there, and Mr. Lovell refuses to tell us why. But I'm so curious.... xp

wow our band has soo many relationships going on its hard to remeber them all.. its also funny because like all the bandies date bandies.. only the ones who are forced to do band date outside of band.. band is a way of life at our school.. well anyone who is in the marching band seem to think it is anyway.. well i met my love of 3 years in band.. it was 7th grade and we were doing an ensamble together and we became really good friends.. but we couldn't be any more than that sweatdrop ... now as Freshman we've actually told each other just how much we liked each other.. it was really funny because in Marching season all the seniors and juniors were all like ya they are so going out.. and then they'd as us and we'd tell them that we were just friends wink and no one beleaved us... but now we are living hapily ever after in our own little world biggrin gonk
