King Pumpkin Jack
Hmmm...Jack's interest has wavered...I DECLARE THIS SUBJECT BORING! ...that is all *walks away*
Should we lighten it up a bit? xP

I actually found this the most interesting topic I've discussed in a while, as all conversations with RL friends end in "ok" or "lol".

But of course, I'd never abandon grammar. It has never slighted me.

All my RL friends around my age group are illiterate, and proud of it.

Seems to be a trait among the younger generations now. Not to sound redneckish, but I seriously suspect it's all this crap where parents don't hit their kids no matter what the kid does. Now, I'm never going to beat a child... But I assure you, should I ever adopt and they do so9mething really stupid like vandalize a cemetary, I WILL smack them in the back of the head. Hard. (Though only hard enough to get a point across, and open handed. Nothing to cause actual damage to their physical form or knock them out or anything.) The fact of the matter is, kids just really don't get punished anymore until it comes to a point where they ******** up enough to get them in jail. And with how much America's cushioning jail now, it's hardly a punishment at all. confused (Unless you did a really minor crime to end up there. But most prisons don't even have that stereotype prison rape anymore. Or shivving. Or group shower scenes. Or all out brawls. But of course, I speak of minimum security here.)

I'd never vandalize a cemetary, or do anything stupid like that, however, I have rebelled majorly against one rule my parents have set (and the rule that the school jumper is not to be worn outside of schoolgrounds without the blazer). But other than that, I'm a complete goody-two-shoes, as my friends tell me.

I don't really believe it's blamed on the media's influence that the younger my generation is more rebellious, but maybe.
Compared to my sister's generation, I am living like a princess. I was spanked as a child, but I think that doesn't make a difference on my lifestyle or common sense.
PostPosted: Mon Apr 02, 2007 11:46 pm

Oh, I wouldn't spank or head smack for something like stealing a cookie... But many parents just won't discipline their children any more than sending them to their room, which simply does not work. Some local kids here actually kidnapped a man's cat, gutted it alive, and hung it in his tree by its entrails so many years back... And the parents STILL tried to defend them and didn't seem at all concerned with punishment for the deed. Just that their "babies" didn't go to jail and that they weren't sued. (One had ADD, so of course he didn't know what he was doing. *Rolls eyes.*) I think the kids actually grew up to try and rob the bank. *Thinks a bit.*

The rule my parents set that I broke was not to get a boyfriend until I am 16. xP
I was surprised they didn't discipline me, they seemed to be actually quite happy that I finally fell in love. o_O;;

That's just pure stupidity. For whatever reason would you kidnap a cat, gut it and hang it by its entrails?
I've heard of students last year vandalising in terms of toppling down trees or some other crazy thing involving lighting a match and flammables.

In America, it's basically becoming illegal to hit your child. And punishment is far from sufficiant or in any way fitting the crime. Because of this, many of the younger generations and teens are just retarded, insane little ******** that don't need to be sent to prison for their deeds, but beaten to death with a pipe to get them out fo the gene pool and away from society perminantly. They don't do it to serve some purpose, they did it because they thought it would be fun. And to my knowledge, the only part they didn't enjoy thoroughly was getting caught. I believe some actually bragged about it later on, and wouldn't be surprised if they threatened to do it again to students' pets.

I recall one person I'd actually considered a friend for a while... But then he came to a point where he was willing to basically say "I really don't care what happens to any animals but myself, and think it would be fun to torture somebody's cat. Hell, I probably should. I wouldn't get in any trouble, my mother sticks up for me in these kind of things and I tend to get off the hook because of my diagnosed mental state." (I forget what the state supposedly was. We were only ******** fifth graders.) A year later he caused a notably large forest fire outside a mutual friend's house who had gotten into a fight with him over cigarettes. The mutual friend got all the blame. confused

In fifth grade I was a little stupid, more naive than I am now but even if I get into minor trouble, I usually get off the hook very quickly. In no way I thought that I could get away with trouble.
It's still utterly stupid to believe that a diagnosed mental state, your mother or a certain trait you have can allow you to commit something punishable and believe no-one will punish you.

Ok, thats seriously ******** UP! *pardon my french* And Im agreeing with you nearly 100% there Chupi.(God, every now and then I get the strangest urge to call you Irving....>_< Its few and far between, but it happens and it freaks me out for some odd reason when I catch myself doing it)

Who the hell would do that to a cat!? Mental dissorder or no. Infact, most people who are diagnosed with mental dissorders now adays barely have anything wrong with them, and can basiclly function almost 100% normally, and would understand why you dont gut a cat. A lot of people are diagnosed with ADD, when really they know what they are doing. Seriously, whenever ANYONE gets in trouble anymore, they find an illness to blame it on. Alcoholism is being concidered a dissability and a mental illness. Correct me if Im wrong, but it WAS their choice to start with the drinking, and quite possibly, end it with their life.
My point is, they always play the dissability card. Why? Because it practiclly ensures you get off scott free. You can bet that if someone gutted my cat I would see fit that they ended up in court.

Darwin didn't write all that stuff in journals for no reason. You do something stupid, you pay for it. And thus the genes for the stupid ones that decided to commit the idiotic crime are removed from the gene pool, and the species is left to thrive, instead of being taken down by the ones that just can't get it right(people with REAL mental dissorders not included of course)

To quote Carlos Mencia "There are too many stupid people, and no one to eat em"
You don't see a gazel run up to a lion, smack it in the back of the head, then run off. Why? Because that lions gonna get ya and eat ya.

Common sense is becoming a rarity. And it is often because parents dont punish their kids. Parents are there to mold you, to give you values, and to make you into a better, and functioning, person. They teach you right from wrong. Then you get the knowledge of the world from school. However, if the parent doesnt teach you its right to learn, then the kid gets lazy, doesnt go to school, thinks its stupid and he doesnt need it, and then ends up in a very bad position once he flunks high school. He screwed after that.

So to summarize. People need to accept responsibility, parents included, kids need to get punished so that they learn right from wrong, and people need to stop blaming stuff on mental dissorders that many of them dont even have(Ive met quite a few people that fake it just to get special treatment)

And as for the fire...if anyone had died in that fire it would be concidered murder, and since he technically planned it, hed be looking at some serious jail time. Now as for the mutual friend getting the blame...that is just messed up. >.> THe one who started the fire needs a buckshot to the face.

(Is in a violant mood for an odd reason. KILL KILL KILL RANT RANT RANT *goes to take his anger out on pixelized monsters*)

;-; there have been so much violence against kitties, kitty bonsai, putting kitties in microwaves and then gutting kitties and hanging them up in trees by their entrails. crying

There needs to be a worldwide organization to stop violence against cats. I=<

ADD doesn't even effect one's ability to reason in the slightest, no matter how severe the case. It just means the kid has a hard time concentrating. @_@ And no humans died, but I'm sure quite a few animals did. The thing is that the two lived close enough so there was a trail leading right between their houses. When it happened every kid knew exactly who was at fault and why, but for some reason ****** (<--Edited to remove his name.) was the one who got all the blame from parents and the authorities when he had nothing to do with it really aside from the fact that his lighter he kept hidden in a log was what was used. (We did use it to make some fires as kids, but they were always CONTROLLED. We liked it, but we weren't ******** stuipid. I think the other kid wanted to cause more damage because every once and a while when we did the burns with him around he'd take a stick and try to toss some of the burning leaves out of the tin and off the rock. ... ... ... And yeah, ****** was a smoker.)

So it seems I'm not the only one in the world with dumbass freinds then? A couple of friends thought it would be fun to tear up the projector screen in our school auditorium. They got caught and one of them expelled the other just left before they could expell him. (I geuss leaveing a school looks better on your record then an explustion. I would think so.) But the thing that pissed me off the most was that the one that got expelled is a Boy Scout. He should no better then that.

On the topic of hurting animals. Honestly I'll joke around about hurting them. But I never actulay have. It's sad that common sense isn't as common as the name impiles.
