Those raspberries were drawn very early in the morning or very late at night, either one. i'm not very good at drawing raspberries. But i do enjoy eating them.

There's been talk of an arts subforum... In a few days, i'll be back at school, and will have regular access to a scanner. So, there will be more art... well, if what i do can be called art! However, the stuff i draw is usually up in the GD area, in the Soren's Ladyfriend thread.

Wow... nearly a year since someone has posted in this thread.. seems like a ghost thread! Well, here's my shot at trying to revive it. (Sorry about the quality, all I have is my phones camera which isn't very kind to me.)

Comments more than welcome!

Wow...I like it. The eyes are really realistic-looking, especially the way you drew the right eye. Were you working from a photograph, or did you sketch that out of your head?
One nitpick: it seems like the proportion of his face is a little "off", but if that was what you were intending, disregard that bit of criticism.
I took a stab at drawing Freddie once, not too long ago. It turned out rather well, but I don't have access to the drawing at the moment. I've also been plotting out little cartoon-like doodles, but have struck out when it comes to actually getting them down....
At any rate, sooner or later I'll add some contributions of my own to this thread.

sweatdrop I was working from a photograph. My memory isn't anywhere near that good.
Yea, the face is a bit off, I was trying to be realistic. That's actually the best face I've ever drawn. I can't draw facial features. Right now I'm working on a cartoon-ish drawing that includes M*A*S*H. If I finish it and it turns out good I'll post it.
Also, I'm attempting poorly to draw Queen's logo.

Would you call this art? I found the t-shirt on clearance at hot topic, so I took it home with me, and since it was a child small, it did not fit. Le horror. So I took the sewing machine to it. 3nodding Now it's my squooshy pillow! Little doodle's s'posed to be me.

I know this is rather sad, but it's a poem for both Freddie Mercury, and a friend who died last year.
Your smiling face is no longer seen All we have are memories Nothing left but to think of what’s been. So suddenly your breath was taken No one could have guessed the time We just knew you wouldn’t awaken. Time has passed and you’re not forgotten Years from now it will be the same Remembered will be the joy you brought in. It doesn’t seem possible that this is real Taken from the world so young All we know is what we feel. For now we weep But now you’re away from pain And in our memory, you, we will keep. For others your heart was always on loan Caring about others no matter what But all I have for you is this poem. This poem is all I have to give So I hope it is enough And the thought of you in our hearts will live.

I've seen a lot of sloppily-done poetry in my time and contributed more than my fair share of such poetry if I do say so myself, and this...I really like it. It's very honest and the emotion is pure.
I've been attempting a song about Freddie recently. I'm just having difficulty...I guess because the subject means so much to me, artistically speaking, and the feeling is so huge and almost indefinable that I'm scared stiff of botching up my song. XP I suppose I'll just grit my teeth and finish the job, though, before the idea runs dry from bouncing around in my head for too long.
