((Lol, LOTSA KIDS. Maybe Enzo needs to get one too... THEN THEY ALL WILL HAVE ONE! *giggles* But no, seriously... You seemed to be hinting at that through the RP, J... So maybe she does, eh? THe kid wouldn't be too old though... I mean, Amma's not exactly that old in the first place... But it'd be good incentive for her to ACTUALLY choose to leave. Especially if she's trying to make things right, ya know? And who knows... Maybe Emily and other-kid would get along real well!

Hahaha and HOLY FREAKING CRAP, AKA. That is hi-freaking-larious. I went HAWHAW, then got a weird image of Enzo jumping Beatrix... *giggles and types OMG SO HUNGRY *Is so eating after this**

In other news, I am SO FREAKING SICK of swallowing snot. Yep. Yick.))

"The high probably brought it out, but I've been thinking it for a while," Enzo said quietly, picking at a loose thread in his torn jeans. He looked over at her at her mentioning a deal. "What sort of deal?" Habit made him wary of such words.

At her proposal, he only managed to stifle his laughter after the first great guffaw. He hadn't meant to laugh... But really, what woman... Especially as gorgeous as Beatrix was, wanted a junkie to jump them every time they needed a fix? He calmed himself and answered, "I doubt there'd be time for you to breathe," He said jokingly, giving a bit of a laugh on his own.

"All joking aside," Enzo started, shifting uncomfortably, "I'm not sure even that would work." He felt like crying, but grinned stupidely instead. "But hey, I wouldn't mind trying it out." He noted, somewhere in the back of his head, how he DIDN'T pull his stash from his pocket and hand it over as if he were giving it up. Gods, why had he started that crap in the first place?

"I hate seeing me do it too... I can see it, but I can't stop it... Every time, Bee, I try... I really, really do..." he gave a half-hearted laugh at the image of he and Cherokee making out... That was indeed a very, VERY strange thought.

"But yeah, sure, why not? Let's try it."

It was about that time that Cherokee came back into the room, a worried look on his expressionless face. "The hospital? Cherokee, she'd be going to a morgue. there's no way Darius survived that..." He'd dropped his voice so Amma wouldn't hear. He suddenly wanted to get up and scream at his friend... Scream and yell that they were cutting it close as it was, and now he was going to take the girl to one of the few places the gangs would check? It was crazy to think he'd do that! CRAZY!

And yet, "Yeah, alright... Do you want us to come? We could get Emily on the way down, then head right to the bus station afterwards. I'd have to stop by my place to get some cash, but we could be out of here by noon." Hey, what else were friends for?

((Awwww. *hugs Enzo's head*

Haha the more I think about it, the more I think he's afraid of any sort of real human contact... *prods Enzo* Whyyyy R U ASCARED? HMMM? What HAPPENED to you? WHY YOU NO LIKE KISSY KISSY?

Enzo: WAAAAH!!! *Runs away*

I R SANE HURHUR.))

((Haha I don't see Enzo having a kid...that'd be somewhat scary. XD But that's just me. Yeah yeah, I know, cause I have been hinting, since I've been thinking...but whatever, we shall SEE. Either way, even if she doesn't her excuse to leave could be to see her Brother and his family as well...ya know...))

Amma opened the door a little to grab the clothes and towel. She carefully pulled up the jeans, which dragged plenty at her heels, and the shirt looked like a pajama top, but she normally wore baggy jeans, and the shirt wasn't a problem, it at least stayed on her shoulders.

After drying her hair off a little she looked around, trying to find some cigarettes, she might as well just ask. She needed to smoke really badly, her stress and nerves becoming overwhelmed. It was a wonder she hadn't bothered to find some before now, maybe the crying took too much of her time.

Opening the door again, she turned off the lights and made her way, limping, back into the room where everyone sat. She got there in time to hear Enzo say his bit and she stayed in the hall way, listening to him, her eyes watering up. He couldn't be dead, he had to be alive, if he wasn't...she'd have to leave too...leave with him. At least if he was alive she could call him and talk to him and hear his voice. True, she didn't love him romantically, but she loved him like a brother, and that was enough for her. He had protected her all her life after being orphaned and had always been a shoulder to lean on. She had to provide him with that as well.

Finally she walked in, looking just as cold as when she woke up, and rubbed at her head some more with the towel. "I only asked him to bring me to my car, he's the one that wanted to take me to the hospital. I haven't been trying to bring you down you know." Her eyes glared at Enzo defensively and then slipped her cell-phone into her pocket. Her stomach growled as if on cue and she glanced to Cherokee. "I can get a snack at the hospital...vending machines. I just need to see him...I really need to see him."

Turning away she grabbed her boots and socks that were laid by the couch and sat down, trying to put them on with shaking hands. "And I also need a cig...I'd figured you'd have some around here."

((haha once the hospital comes we'll have action again.))

((GO ALEX! Guess who finished her art homework in one night? ALEX DID. Oh yeah. Take that.))

Beatrix looked rather pleased with his response. She hugged him tightly around his shoulders and cuffed a knuckle under his chin gently. "Deal." She said in her dark voice and drew away, sprawling back on her side of the couch once more. "By the way you talk you'd think you'd never kissed anyone before." She chuckled to herself and then looked to Cherokee.

He flashed her a brief smile and looked to Enzo, who like a good friend, took his dicision to take Amma to the hospital in good grace. He took it better than a good friend would, and Cherokee would never be able to tell Enzo just how much that meant to him.

"Thanks." Was the only word he could say, and he hoped Enzo knew just how much he meant it. "You're too good to me when I'm an idiot." He added on.

Beatrix laughed a little as she dozed.

Cherokee rocked to his feet. "Don't bother coming. No use getting us all screwed if it comes to that." He paused, thinking of Emily. "Take her with you... and keep her safe." He said softly. "Tell her I'll meet up with you guys soon, okay? And give her a hug from me." He also added, his eyes on the floor, but then onto Amma as she entered the room.

He nodded his head in repsone."You'll see him." Cherokee assured in his definant tone.

At being asked for a cigerrette he vanished into the kicthen and returned with a half empty pack. He handed her one without a word, noticing despite how cold and featurless her face seemed, she looked so lost in his clothes. Amma looked scared.

Reaching out he touched her shoulder for a moment, and then looked to the others. "If we're going to move, we should start now." He remarked.

((MMm, posts... *licks them* I SHALL MAKE ONE NOW! *howls and does so before she goes to make some dinner*))

Enzo shook his head at Amma's words, "I'm not trying to say you are..." he rubbed at the back of his neck, "Sorry... I think we're all just... really... stressed out." He gave a feeble laugh.

He waved a hand at Cherokee, though knew the man's words had meant a lot more than a simple thanks, "Yeah yeah... We're all idiots at some point, yeah? No use fretting over it. You'd do the same for me." Wouldn't he? Of course.

The young man gave Beatrix a light nudge with his hand, "COme on then... We can sleep on the bus. We've got to pick up Emily, then go back to my place..." He stifled a yawn of his own. High or no high, he was tired.

"And she'll get a big 'ol hug. Make sure you come back, alright?" He raised an eyebrow at Cherokee, then gave Amma a look as well. "Both of ya." The dark haired man then snatched a cigarette from Cherokee's quickly diminishing pack, wondering vaguely if he actually wanted to smoke it. He wasn't that big on smoking (not nearly as bad as Cherokee was), but he'd smoke every once in a while.

But his brain kept screaming at him about one more addiction...

So he put it back.

"Then move we shall," he said, dusting his knees off with his hands and climbing to his feet. "We'll meet at the bus station then... Bee and I will get Emily. You know, the station on Fifth and King Avenue? I'll cover any sort of ticket costs... But we need to figure out where we're going," He said, realizing they'd never actualyl settled on a place. "But we'll figure that when we get there, yeah? Let's get out of here then." He tugged Beatrix to her feet and holding her hand tightly, led her from the room, "Bee's got her phone, Cherokee... Call her if you need me."

And with that, he was gone, downstairs to pick up the bright little girl, who he was QUITE sure would enjoy such an adventure as a cross-country trip. An amused grin crossed his tired, drawn face, however, at the thought of the girl's mother's reaction to her child being spirited away by her bum father. In fact, it made him chuckle to himself as they walked down the steps and knocked lightly on the neighbor's door.

((haha er, TAH DAH! I dunno if people wanted to do time skips or what... Or whatever. I dunno. I HOPE I DIDN'T RUIN ANYTHING! *gurgles and runs off to get FUD*))

Amma took the cigarette, eyes greatful, and tucked it to the corner of her mouth while she tied up her boots. When Enzo began talking she shrugged. "Stress is normal, like happiness to other people." Her voice was low and she looked up, using her arms to lift to a stand position, all her weight on the left leg, pain still in her right thigh.

When the two of them left, she let out a big sigh and slumped foward, the cold, emotionless face melting into a pained visage. Her eyes darkened immensely as she limped towards the door, wanting more than anything to just die at this point. Everything had crashed down upon her, everything.

"You can drop me off at my car...I can't leave today...I have to at least stay around for a while until things get settled...they're gonna be really hectic...I mean...extremely." Picking up a lighter from the table she lit her cigarette and took one long suck of poisonous fumes, only breathing out a little of it. The drugs calmed her nerves, if but a little, and she seemed to have some strength back. "I don't know what I'm supposed to do. If I leave and he can take over by himself it'll be insane." Chocolate hands pulled at her damp black and red hair before taking another suck of her cancer stick.

"God...and I'M usually the sensible one!" Realizing she was talking to herself she rubbed at her bruised cheek and started outside. "Let's go..."

((haha really nasty, but it'll be better once they get there.))

((YAAAYS! Go me, GOOOO!!))

At being nundged, Beatrix moaned sleepily and groggily righted herself into a slouching sitting position. Her eyes were still halfway closed as she spoke.

"I'm dying." She said. "Dying of EXSHAUSTION!" Came her dramatized complaint. Though, she quite willingly let Enzo tug her to her feet and she rose a little tipsily into an unbalanced stand. She leaned shamelessly upon Enzo, and the hand that gripped her own she placed beneath her chin.

"Yeah. What he said." Beatrix said in repsonse to Enzo's instructions, though she looked quite awake as she looked to Amma and Cherokee. "And you'd both best come back." She said just as sternly as Enzo. "I won't have none of that dying s**t. Too much of that going on, you hear?"

And the woman might have gone on had she not been tugged out the door, dark eyes fixed sternly on their indifferent faces.

Cherokee watched them go. "I'll come back." He said after them, but somehow his words didn't sound as sure as they could have. His hard tone faltered, but they had already gone, and he was glad they had.

He turned his eyes onto Amma, watching her limp to the door. He didn't watch her for long and from a chair grabbed his coat and shrugged his shoulders into it and from there he followed her to the door. With an expression that could not be argued with he crouched a little and wedged a shoulder underneath one of her arms to help her out of his apartment.

"I understand." He responded in a dispassionate voice, but his eyes betrayed him as Beatrix had once described. He would have stayed, was what his eyes said. He would have stayed with her. It was said in the way he stood, his lean body leaned close to hers, and the way his hands held her almost protectively as if the very walls an either side might have been against her. Cherokee would have waited for Amma to tie up loose ends even if it meant being in a gang for the rest of his short life, but being the stable man he was, or once was, he knew he would have to leave.

Before there would have been no second thoughts, no regrets about leaving... but times were different now and in those days when Cherokee would have left without a single emotion rattled were over. All those years before when he could act without thinking were over. The single man anyone could have depended on to act without feeling was gone and it was all thanks to one woman, a woman that he would have stayed for if it wasn't his first instinct to run and keep on running, just as he always had and always will.

"We'll meet up." He said as he helped her into her car and got into the driver's seat. "Somewhere... anywhere. You name it, I'll be there." He didn't look at her, he couldn't look at her. "I'll find you again." He started up his car and pulled into the street and said exactly what he should have kept to himself.

"I'd drag you with me if I wasn't so sure you shoot the hell out of me." He turned to smile at her with his joke, but it was sad, a truly sad smile. He quickly looked away and drove the rest of the way to her car in silence, not trusting himself to speak.

((I LOVE WRITING LIKE THAT AND I DUNNO WHY. the end.))

Beatrix seemed quite more awake as they arrived to pick up Emily. At first there was no noise behind the door that Enzo had knocked upon, but then there was the unmistakable sound of little Emily feet, and then little Emily face in the crack in the door.

"No, no!" Came an old tabacco voice. "Don't you open the door! It could be anyone! A robber! You get back here, Emily!" The voice said, and Emily was shunted aside crying out that it was only her uncle Enz. The little girl's face was replaced with a rather wrinkled one instead, and a beady pair of yellow cast eyes. There was then a yellow toothed smile and a few clickings as the door came unlocked.

"Well, goodmorning!" The old woman said as she opened the door. Emily rushed passed her, arms flailing.

"Chief! Chief!" She cried happily, and frowned a little at not finding her father. Though, she smiled again at the sight of Enzo and with a giggle she leapt at his legs, clinging to his ankles. "HI!" She remarked contentedly, and knuzzled into his pants legs. "You smell like CATS."

Beatrix hugged at herself as though hardly able to contain herself. "She's... so... CUTE! AH!" She knelt down by Enzo and wrapped her arms around Emily as she wrapped her arms around Enzo's poor knees.

"Hi Trix!" Emily said brightly. "Were you hanging out with, Enz? How come YOU got to and I had to stay HERE?" She demanded, little face indignant. "You were having SEX, weren't you? I know about that, you know. I'm four whole years old so I KNOW what that is." She said with a little scowl.

Beatrix burst into a mad fit of giggles and ruffled Emily's pony tail, "Yes. Lot's of sex." She remarked.

"Knew it!" She said and looked up at Enzo. "Where's Chief?" She wanted to know.

THe old woman by the door shook her head and placed her hands on her hips. "So much energy all ready... makes me sick."

((WOO! THE END!))
PostPosted: Thu May 03, 2007 8:17 pm

((AND since they're alone, I can't feel too bad about posting right away... XDD FRIDAY YAH!!))

Amma looked up at him curiously, her own eyes expressing everything she had to give, and it was all negative at the moment. She was bundled up in confusion and not even SHE knew what she felt. It was a bunch of wild happiness that was destroyed and whipped by the lash of anger, frustration, guilt, sorrow, hopelesness, and even worse, hatred. Hatred towards herself.

She stayed quiet as they moved to his car, not sure what to tell him, all had been said. Words couldn't begin to describe what she was thinking, so why bother? If she were the romantic type, the poetic type, she might have said a few simple and gorgeous things, but all that would have come out of her mouth would have been bull s**t.

Finally when Cherokee told her he'd be there and then told her he was pretty much sure she would shoot him and she winced, not smiling or laughing at his joke. "I don't trust myself either..." she whispered, once again, probably to herself and leaned her head against the window, dusky eyes watched the rising sun creep into the sky, sending a wave of doubt over her, but some hope as well.

Sure there was going to be lots of guilt when she got there, but somehow she felt thrilled, like something or someone was going to pop out say suprise and give her a million dollars. It was the type of feeling one gets when about to take on a huge project, stress and happiness. The stress coming from doing it, the happiness from having achieved it. It made her want to run away so badly and run towards it so badly, both competeing for her approval.

When they got to her car she glanced over at Cherokee and smiled the best she could before opening the door. "Thanks." Not just thanks for the ride he had given her...but for just even looking at her. Once out of the car and taking out her keys, her strange eyes watched him.

"Umm...if you want to come..." She stopped and shook her head. "Never mind...I'm sure Joker'll be there." The keys were forced into the door as her cigarette fell from her mouth, the tip having reached her lips. If anyone had been standing with her at that time they could have felt the pressure in the air and the overwhelming feeling of suffication, the dark energy she was giving off.

"Call me some time..." She muttered, not looking at him but in the interior of her expensive car.

((Haha I'd post now, but... *points at time of post* Yeah, a little late/early... And I'm not in any position to post *giggles* So yeah, when I get home from work tomorrow, if I can manage it. If not, at least SOMETIME tomorrow. *Grins stupidly and scuttles off to bed*))
PostPosted: Fri May 04, 2007 11:24 pm

((HAhahaha ahhh, I really need to post. XD;

SO, let's see if I can manage it! heart Yay! *Gurgles*))

A slight smile crossed Enzo's face at the little pitter-patter against worn wood floors. He knew that sound anywhere. The smile turned to a half-grin when he heard her insistant voice. That little girl was just about unbearably adorable. She could cheer anyone up, he was quite sure of it.

"G'morning," Enzo said, spending most of his fleeting concentration on staying upright. That little girl sure could tackle. "Yeah, Chief's house smells like 'em. It sorta rubs off." He ruffled her hair and looked back at the older woman, "Thanks for watchin' her. Cherokee really appreciates it."

And then Beatrix was clinging to his legs too and it was all he could do to snatch at the doorframe and keep himself standing. GODS he was tired.

Though, he snapped to at Emily's little declaration, and Beatrix's agreement. "Hah, yeah, nonstop sex." He gave a guilty sort of smile to the woman and shrugged, "Yeah, she's a little firecracker, isn't she?"

The woman gave a wry grin, "Emily, or your lovely lady?" She raised an eyebrow and gave a rough laugh at just how red Enzo had turned.

So, giving the woman a wave and leading Emily towards the ground level, he gave a sigh, "He's helping someone to the hospital. They're not hurt, but visiting someone that is. Cheif will meet us soon. Think you can run things while he's gone?" He lightly cuffed her jaw before looking to Beatrix.

"We need to stop by my place... And then probably get anything you need..." He rubbed at the back of his head; he could feel a headache coming on. Something wasn't sitting right, and he just couldn't figure out what it was. "Then, to the bus station, I guess. Hopefully Cherokee will call by then..." He gave a bit of a grunt; he wasn't used to pulling things together out of nothing. His normal organization was lacking - he needed a new phone, among other things - like one hell of an intervention, and a new life. Yeah, that'd just about do it.

Enzo was quite sure that aside from the fact he was high, he was depressing himself.

"Yeah, let's get the fecking hell out of here," He muttered, hoping Emily hadn't heard. Then, to the young girl, "Ready for a big 'ol trip? Chief, you, me, and Trix are all going on a trip. And Chief's new friend. It's gonna be fun, but I don't know if I can handle it all on my own. THink I can count on you to keep my face from falling of, and keeping things all together?"

((hahahaha ahh, I'm just gonna stop before I make even LESS sense... *her mind is totally elsewhere* Sorry if this post makes like, NO SENSE. Ahh. *gurgles, laughs, and runs off*))

((OKAY REEEADY GOO! *types* Then off to paaainting... oh woe.))

Cherokee watched her slide from the seat of his car into the street. The smile he gave in return was hard pressed and fleeting.

"Anytime." He said to her thank you in a suddenly raspy voice. And he meant it.

Though, at being asked to come with her he stared hard at his hands on his steering wheel. His dark knuckles were striped white and red from holding on too hard. He couldn't look at her. "I shouldn't. I'd make one helluva mess." There was a rough sound that might have been a bitter laugh.

He nodded his head about Joker. "I'm sure he will be."

Cherokee took a deep breath and cast his eyes at her once more, that stare that could almost hold a person in place. "I'll call." And he meant that too.

He then started up his car again, and let it idle. He looked out at the street and then back to Amma and knowing if he got out of the car he might not get back in, and if he went with her would probably get him shot. What kind of man would he have been then? A dead one. A dead man didn't do anyone any good.

He studied her back and the darkness that still seemed to cling to her even in the faint morning light. "Promise me something." He said. "Promise me you'll get out... you don't owe anyone anything and nobody owns you but yourself." He paused and put his car into reverse. "I don't care if you don't even end up with me in the end... just as long as you're out of here."

He looked to her briefly, wishing more than anything to hold her a final time before he left, but he knew better now. He knew himself better. He might have stayed, but he had to go. Without another word he drove away down the empty street and did not look back.

((NEEEEXXXXTTT!!!))

Beatrix all but cackled as Enzo flushed at the old woman's response. "I think he meant us both." She replied in a voice that she must have seducted dozens of men at a time with.

Though, both firecrackers released Enzo's legs as he lef the way downstairs. Emily was giggling with Beatrix about some joke, but looked very attentively to Enzo as he spoke of her father.

"Hospital?" She said, and then nodded her head solemnly. "I understand." She said in a most comically serious little voice. She stuck out her tongue a little as her chin was cuffed. "Of course! Chief taught me all the ropes!" Emily acclaimed, with her little hands on her hips. "I don't need him!... he is coming back, right?" She asked in a small voice.

Beatrix laughed a little and smoothed out her unruly pony tail in a slender hand. "'Course. The big guy wouldn't leave you." She then looked to Enzo and nodded her head along as he thought outloud. "I don't have much, so it won't take long. Everything will work out." She assured and rubbed her shoulder soothingly. "I'm most worried about Cherokee's cats... and then Emily..." She looked down to the little girl, but she didn't seem to be paying attention. She was working out a four lettered word written on the wall in permenant ink. "... Her mother, you know."

She laughed a little at his remark of getting the hell out. "But I'm sure it'll be fine." She said again, and took Enzo's hand. "I trust in my main squeeze, after all." She chuckled.

Emily giggled as well and clutched at Enzo's other hand, giving up on the word on the wall. "Yeah!" She agreed. "And I do like trips...even though I've never really been on one..." She wondered and shrugged her little shoulders. "As long as Chief is there and you, Enz." She decided, looking up at him with a large smile.

"And I've been keeping your face on as LONG as I can remember, you doof." She replied. "I can do ANYTHING." She assured the pair.

Beatrix giggled once more and buried her face in Enzo's shoulder. "This kid is PRICELESS." She whispered to herself.

And with that they were off to tie up loose ends and get out.

((YEAH YEEEAH!!!))
PostPosted: Sat May 05, 2007 11:33 am

Amma turned her head and nodded to him. "I promise. And you better keep your word...even if we don't see eachother...I think your voice...I want to hear it again." A smile spread on her face as he put the car in reverse and she opened her own car door. Raising a hand she watched him pull out and drive off.

It made her heart ache seeing him leave. What if they really didn't ever see eachother again? What would she do? Would she move on? Or would she stick herself here forever just to be in the place she met him? The thought made her sick, staying here forever. Even though she'd been here all her life, she hated it, hated it so much than anyone could hate anything. All those horrible memories, and yet...so many good ones.

"Well...off to see Darius." She muttered to herself and slid into the car, turned it on and pulled out, driving off in the opposite direction Cherokee had gone.

--Lalala driving to hospital YAY!--

When her mustang drove into the parking lot of the emergency side of the hospital, a sudden feeling of hopelessness depleated her energy. It told here she'd find nothing but pain here. And it was probably right. No matter how much she wanted to turn around and go back home or drive off to some place else...she HAD to do this. If she left him without saying sorry or talking to him, she'd die.

Getting out of her car she heard a familiar voice talking softly, and when she turned around she saw a familiar figure. It wasn't Joker and it wasn't Darius. "Ad...adam?" She stammered and a pair of caramel eyes looked up to see Amma's own wide multi-colored ones.

"Hey. I got called, he wanted to see the little guy." The man smiled and looked to the side. He was a handsome fellow, average height, light brown skin identical to Amma's and similar facial features. He had poofy black hair, not too much of an afro style, but getting there. His outfit was a sloppy buisness attire, showing the man had a decent job and decent life, just tired. "He was really excited to see you guys again. I told him we were flyin' up here and he just started to dance around and was jumping all over the place at the airport."

Amma's face softened and she shook her head, smiling. When she walked up to him the man wrapped his arms around her and she did the same.

"I'm sorry..." He whispered and then let go of her. "It must be extremely hard. I should have stayed with you...I left you when you needed family the most."

"It's okay. So where's the munchkin?" She looked around anxiously.

"Ah, he's in the lobby with his dad." He grinned and started towards the door. "I figured you'd be coming soon so I decided to meet you out here. They're playing together with his new remote control car he got for his birthday."

"He likes it?"

"More than anything. Playing with it nonstop."

Amma's smile widened at this and she followed Adam into the building. Once they got to the lobby/waiting area she saw Joker leaned over a remote, twisting the joy stick as a small car swirved in a spiral and chased after what appeared to a two year old boy. The boy was a light pale brown, the color of wheat, and had smooth black hair cut short and spikey. His run was wobbly as he giggled and squeeled.

"You cant catch me!" His voice seemed to comfort Amma and her face became the equivalant of a sleeping mother.

"You bet I can!" Joker replied and made the car knock into the kid's leg, making the kid laugh again with pure delight and snatch the car up. "See? I'm the master at cars." Joker grinned, though the guy was obviously extremely tired from waiting here the whole night, not getting a wink of sleep. His green eyes looked up and when he saw Amma he took the little kid's shoulder pointing to her. "Mommy's here." The kid jumped excitedly and spun around, almost falling over.

"MAMA!" He yelled loudly, making Joker wince and the other people to scowl. The kid's eyes were bright blue with flecks of green and his chubby cheeks were blushed with joy. "MAMA!" He ran over to Amma and gripped onto her leg tightly, her bad leg and Amma gasped but ended up leaning over and picking the little boy up.

"Hey sugar." She whispered gently and kissed him on both cheeks, his forehead and then his mouth. The kid giggled and kissed his mother on her cheek as well but looked worried at the bruise.

"Mama! Ya gotta owie? Howdya getta owie?" He said, cupping Amma's cheek in his small hands.

"No worries hun...you seen Uncle Darius yet?" She asked and he nodded, still with a worried face.

"He's sleepin' said the lady. Sleepin' long time. He alive...sleepin'."

Amma looked up to Joker who nodded. "In a coma..." he muttered, standing up next to her. "They're not sure if he'll come out of it..." He ran a hand through the little kids hair calmly. "You should go see him, I'll watch Justin." After giving Justin into Joker's arms, Amma gave him a kiss once more and walked towards a nurse.

"Can you show me to Darius Chantel's room please?"

"Are you family?" The nurse asked, lifting a clipboard.

"Close enough."

Enzo gave each hand in his a little squeeze in return and led the two women from the building, down the street, and to his own home. There, amid chattering from the quite-awake Emily, Enzo gathered what little he had - A small pile of clothes (into which was stuffed the rest of his stash - without Beatrix or Emily's knowledge), all the money he had hidden away, a gun, and the permit for him to be able to carry it (A very convincing fake), and a few other oddities, like his pain killers.

He then gathered all of the money he'd hidden away, and was quite surprised to find quite a bit of it. Over five thousand in cash alone. It sort of made him feel sick... He knew where most of that money came from, and it was far from clean.

Once everything had been gathered into a worn looking suitcase, he gave a tired thumbs up and left the hole of an apartment, bidding Beatrix to lead the way to her own home.

She did just that, and once her own small suitcase was filled, Enzo hailed a taxi, and the surly looking driver was quite happy not to comment on the obviously shading looking man, whore, and innocent little girl they were toting along. After all, there was a green picture of Andrew Jackson sitting atop whatever the fare was going to be... He could keep his mouth shut for an extra twenty. No problemo. Especially when the bus station wasn't too far off.

They arrived without incident, though much to Enzo's dismay, his watch told him that it was nearly noon. He was really, really tired. "Alright you two... Let's head on in and wait on the big guy, yeah? He'll probably be showing up soon, or maybe he'll give us a call," he looked to Beatrix, who was the one with the phone (a slight pang went through him when he thought about how he'd lost his).

Sitting thankfully on one of the many benches in the already bustling station, Enzo situated himself comfortably (feeling unusually calm - it was the short time between hits that he could relax) on the worn wooden bench and let his head fall against Beatrix's shoulder. He was out almost instantly.

((Haha tah dah.))
