NOT ME... when i first saw yaoi i was in google pictures at my friends hous and most of the pics weren't hard core and i art prone so when i showed her i explained more of the style and medium than the subject so it really didn't bother us...plus my friend and i are pervy anyway so we didn't actually give it much thought... sweatdrop

I don't remember a time when Yaoi was weird or "bad" to me. But that is probably because I never came across it until I was like 14 or something and by then I had seen gay couples. My parents had also told me that it was normal and guys can love guys and that was ok. So no, I think the first time I found yaoi was when I was looking for it blaugh

I can't say I was against it, but before I started high school, it was a subject that I never touched on because I was taught that it was bad. I found some fanart of Kurama and Hiei chibies kissing, cuddling, etc. and I thought it was adorable. After that, my other favorite couples appeared to me by chance. I love you, google image search. heart

The first actual 'same sex kissing!' I ever saw was Willow and Tara in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, when I was about eleven or twelve, and I remember deciding that two girls kissing was okay, but two guys kissing was kind of weird. I have since come to the decision that this was only because the only slash pairing I was aware of at the time was Angel/Spike, which is one of those parings that really doesn't appeal to me at all.

I forget what finally converted me. Probably watching Trigun and realizing that there was absolutely no interpretation of the show that did not involve Legato being a raging homosexual.

I was against it and then I wondered after watching Gravitation what I really thought of it. Now I think it's interesting.

I think it's because when I lived in China as a baby, people are very affectionate (not to the point of kissing, sadly) and so I guess I grew to it. Later I come here and I have no idea what it's called, but it's totally normal for me, because the first samesex pairing I'd ever seen was Sailors Uranus and Neptune in SailorMoon, and me and my sister were all, "they love each other, how sweet!"

So I don't think we ever had a problem with yuri. Then I find Hiei and Kurama, and "OMG, They're so CUTE!!"

Yeah. 3nodding

I was never really against it, I just wasn't as obsessed with it as I am now. sweatdrop

I used to be a het supporter, but then I got bored and began to read yaoi/shounen-ai fanfics because they seemed more interesting to me. After that, I slowly began to like it more and more, until the day when I was in Borders and had the huge urge to buy the first volume of the Gravitation manga. ^^ And I was forever changed by the wonder and hotness of the visual image of two dudes making out!

When I was young, I was mellow about it...and never really thought about how I felt about yaoi or anything like that sweatdrop But now that I am older, and more mature, I accept it, and I am still very mellow with yaoi, or gay men with their sexual prefrences.

When I first started getting into anime I heard all sorts of weird words like yaoi, yuri, and I had no idea what they were until i looked it up on google. I was pretty young back then and I thought it was gross because I was taught that. But the more I got into it I became obsessed and now I love it with a passion ^^

i read it and i was like "OMG WTF!" and my friend was like - isn't it kinda cute? - and i was like - no! - but i finished reading the book andyways, and i was really, really weirded out.
it was gravitation, and it was like three or four or something. when i went back to the start and read the first and second book, all the way to the one i had read, and it was way more cute and awesome than when i just randomly opened the book!
a little while after i read (stumbled across, i should say) a shino x kiba fanfiction, which i found myself bookmarking. sweatdrop after that i became friends with someone who really loved yaoi, and she showed me the awesome serieses!
now i am completely addicted, and she is my best friend! XD

I think I was always into it but didn't know. See...

It all started with a show called "Kids in the Hall" eek heart
I figured I was just kinky. Through middle school I was annoyed with the world saying:
Two guys = funny not sexy
two girls = sexy not funny

why didn't the world see they sexyness I sow!!! scream

Then... I found that gundam wing fanfic that changed it all!
It was yaoi and in the review all these girls where saying how sexy two guys where heart

crying I was so happy that I was not alone

I had some yaoi friends but they say their growing out of it

twisted I'm sorry but I think I'm too kinky to ever grow out of my love for yaoi (and handcuffs)

Me, never. I was always brought up with the thought that you should be tollerant and except everyone no matter what they do or what they believein (to some extent of course). Though I never thought about it much and I never really saw what was the problem with liking someone who had the same gender.
