“Oh, you think I couldn’t find my way in there myself?” Marlow was beaming now, feeling quite pleased with himself as he joked and played with his buddy, but as he began to continue, he was interrupted by Arthur’s untimely fall. He laughed, loudly and good naturedly, then reached an arm out to help the other boy. “Oh man, Artie. You’re such a card. I know, instead of bothering Will, why don’t you two come with me to go phone shopping? I’m going to go into DT’s soon if I don’t have one.” It had been a whole two minutes since he had gone without. “Can’t say no, Artie. You owe me!”

Kev pouted, arms crossed mock-deffensively over his chest, although he remained slumped over the other's shoulder. "Exactly what are you implying, hmm? I'm not nearly as easy as Will..." he grumbled. Of course, this was rather the lie. Will was not at all easy, and Kev... well, he was picky but he didn't exactly have qualms about physical contact (as was proven by his current position strung across Marlow).

He glanced over as Arthur fell. "Mmmm... better watch out," he advised knowingly. "You're in track, right? Don't wanna twist your ankle or anything...."

Arthur (grudgingly) took the offered hand to help himself up, secretly fuming inside. He nodded slowly at the "offer" (more like demand, really) of shopping for a cellphone, wincing slightly at the other's now seemingly cemented use of that terrible nickname. "Yes... yes, I'll come, just... could you please just call me Arthur?" he asked.

He glanced over, then, at Kev and nodded. "Yeah... but I'm fine. I have strong ankles, or at least that's what Coach says..." he replied, shrugging slightly to show that he didn't really know.

“Actually, The name’s Marlow. And I would call you, but, as you know full well, I don’t exactly have a phone right now. In fact, it’s rather insensitive that you asked, I might add!” Cerulean Marlow had made avoiding the topic at hand an art. Arthur didn’t know it yet, but Marlow rarely called people by their real names, Kevin was one of the few exceptions to the rule. Maybe it was because “Kev” didn’t sound British enough for him, who knows. “Well, I’m glad you have strong ankles. You’ll be able to catch a wife in no time.” He winked, then stretched his arms high over his head, giving a bit of a yawn. “Well, I’m going to go get ready for my next class.”

"Hey. You," Kev grumbled, once more prodding Marlow in the ribs (he seemed to enjoy doing this for some reason). "You ignoring me or what?" he asked, a pout prominent upon his lips. "If that's the case, well... that's... that's really mean." Kev had slipped off the other's shoulder, having decided that he was perfectly capable of balancing on his own two feet (for once), and had his arms crossed mock-defensively over his chest. "I mean, after everything I've done for you, you know?"

Having said that, he uncrossed his arms, placed his hands on his hips, and turned around to head back to the lockers. "Well, whatever, then. Suit yourself," he called back as he headed away from the two. This was, quite obviously, something exceedingly rare from Kev. He never just let things sit. He never just walked away as if being ignored was no big deal. Either something was up or he had thought of something much more interesting to do.

Arthur stared, slightly aghast at the pair. These... these boys were crazy -- even crazier than the other rich kids he knew. "I... sorry," he replied, lookingly ompletely unsure as how to react to Marlow's words. He was obviously not at all used to dealing with people such as these. Arthur was one one would call "exceedingly normal," and he was. The only "abnormal" things about him were that he was attending a much too rich school and that he was good at just about every subject in school. However, at Gravard Academy, none of that stood out and so he was "normal," if not "derelict."

“Ow!” Marlow hand dropped to grab where Kev had just poked. He was seriously going to get a bruise there, from all the jabbing he got. But that wasn’t his concern at all. “What, no, of course I wasn’t ignoring you! Kevin!” It wasn’t any use, Kev was gonna do whatever it was that Kev did when Marlow wasn’t around. His phone was broken, his ribs hurt, Kev was mad at him - even if it didn’t look like Kev was that mad at him, he could -tell- that he was. “Ugh, today sucks,” he told Arthur, ignoring all apologies and whatnot as he went back towards the locker room.

As Kev headed back, he caught site once more of his beloved brother. A smile quirked onto his lips and he made his way over to Will. "Wiiiiiill. Will. Hey, Will," he called loudly, grinning brightly as he did so. Will barely even looked up -- he knew who it was, after all -- before returning to his (not at all challenging) book.

"Will, I know you can hear me," Kev said rather grumpilly, arms once more folded over his chest and a prominent pout formed again on his lips. Kev plopped down beside his brother and leaned sideways into him, letting his eyes fall closed. "Nnngh. I'm tired so I'm gonna sleep here. Don't move, alright?"

Vincent stumbled down random halls carelessly and clumsily, he had forgotten where his room had been and so was wandering a school he barely knew. He bit his lip, 'What the hell was the room number again?' he questioned and paused in front of a window. He looked out to a tree and inside his head saw a perfect one so opened his sketch pad and drew it. He made it dead and put roses instead of apples in it and frowned. He didn't like it and crumpled it. He bit his lip and travled down the hallway once more.

Kev frowned as he glanced out the window. It had to have been draw not but several seconds ago... but it was now a torential downpour. Well, it was England, after all... he should be used to it by now but it still somewhat irked the blond teen that the weather could go from sunshine and rainbows to monsoon season in all of five seconds. He grumbled something indistinguishable under his breath, one pale hand raising to brush back pale golden locks from his face.

"Stupid weather...."

He was supposed to be in Calculus, but... he didn't want to go. He didn't really like that subject and he could just pick up the notes from Will afterwards, since his brother was probably smarter than the teacher, anyway. Currently, the boy was just wandering the halls, daring anyone to proclaim him as "skipping." Like hell the school could ever get him in trouble since the majority of their funding came from the Riddle family. All Kev needed, now, was to find someone else to skip with and his fun for the period would be set.

Kev glanced up as he heard the sound of crumpling paper, his hands now resting in his pockets. It was some... dark-haired kid; he looked sick and Kev didn't know who he was, which was odd because Kev knew almost everyone. But then, he generally glanced over those who kept low profiles and prefered to hang with the more high strung boys. They were much more interesting, after all. Still, this boy should serve to at least lessen his boredom.

A bright smile slipping onto his lips, he slid in beside the boy, his arms folded back behind his back. "You skipping?" he asked pleasantly, bright blue eyes fixed upon golden-brown hues.

Vincent looked over the boy, "your features are clay... to draw you is to draw a mannequin... why be fake? My name is Vincent, who might thou be?" he questioned Shakespearian like, staring solely at the boy's eyes, staring straight into the blackness of the pupils. He felt the corners of his mouth go up at a corner.
"I'm not skipping; I don't even know where I’m going. If I was skipping I wouldn't do it at school." he brushed his hair out of his face and crossed his arms and a not quite frown returned to his blush pink lips. Vincent’s own eyes stared at the strangers lips and he averted his eyes in embarrassment.

Kev paused a moment, somewhat taken back. "What? Don't kid yourself, Kid, I'm not fake," he replied, now completely unfazed. He tucked back some blond hair behind the curve of one pale, round ear, shaking his head back to dislodge the bangs in his eyes. He really did need a trim, since his hair was getting so annoying... but if he cut it, he wouldn't be able to match Will and that wouldn't be fun at all!!

"I'm one hundred percent authentic, for your information," the teen said, a bright smile on his lips. "Just because I'm happy doesn't make me fake."

He glanced the other over again, noting the odd speech pattern. "Mmm... are you a new student, then? You should probably learn your way around school if you want to accomplish anything," Kev said, his tone thoughtful, but not at all concerned. Shakespearian words... he might have to make this kid a recruit!

Vincent looked at him stoicly, "Fine... are you going to show me around? I still know not your name." he covered his mouth for an instant to cover a couph then attempted a smile but it came out awkward and it looked like he was trying to make awkward face's. He gave up and looked at the stranger, "...why are you happy and able to smile in such a manor? When I see a person I see a clay mask. I can't find emotions in the mask. Why are you happy?" he bit his lip.
PostPosted: Tue Oct 16, 2007 9:55 pm

"Mmmm... maybe. I dunno, I can't decide if that would be boring or not...." Kev replied thoughtfully, though still with some measure of indifference. "As for my name, you should know me, since everyone does... But I'm Kev. Who're you?" he asked cheerfully.

"Why shouldn't I be happy? I don't really want to be depressed; it's much easier to just be my usual happy self rather than trying to gain pity by being morbid," he replied. "Really, if you ask me, people who are depressed all the time have more of a mask than happy people," he said, shrugging slightly.

"But if you really must know... I'm happy because I'm not in calculus right now and lunch will be beginning soon. I think that's enough of a reason, don't you agree?" Kev asked, his tone light and agreeable. He really was an incredibly carefree boy.

Vince smiled showing off white teeth, "You’re interesting," he laughed and the smile kept. "My name is Vincent, sophomore. I'm sad because I left home I’m happy that I see someone new, and am confused by your many expressions of...how do I say it... something about you is..."he thought for a moment, "is the word obnoxious? No, maybe... not sure. There is something about you that is all together uncertain." He felt the smile become forced and let it fall thinking of a word to describe the boy in front of him.
