The caterpillar looked at her in bewilderment as she effortlessly tossed the leaves aside. "D= In all my life, I have never seen a creature as strong as you!"

The girl blushed. "Gee, thanks!" She deposited the last of the leaves to the side.

"Hmm...Feeling happier now?" The caterpillar tapped Mary's shoe with his cane.

She looked down at the caterpillar. "That's a great idea! Are you sure you're not a book worm?" A smile lit her face as she went over to the tallest tree and began to climb.

The caterpillar just stared at her in confussion as Mary struggled up the tree.

She slowly but surely climbed the tree and when she reached one of the top branches she looked around. She could not believe how high up she was. She started to get dizzy.

She swayed back and forth and gripped the tree tighter. "I think... I'm going to stay up here for awhile."

With the help of a little gust, and the fact that Mary leaned towards her left, the tree suddenly started to bend.
