Asthen We're doing west side story. stare Mambo Maria Cool I Have a Love Somewhere Tonight I'm mad that we're doing such a cliche show, but it's our first year with a pit so I guess it's a beginning pit show? Who knows, it's lame. Penguin: We played Karn Evil 9 for a show two years ago. I love that song! whee my school's also doing WWS. We've got: Maria Mambo One hand, One heart/America Tonight we have a woodwind quintet in OH,OH-- 2 clarinets, 1 alto sax, 1 tenor sax, and me on flute. It sounds good- but our trumpets could do a little more to practice.

We are doing a HEROES theme, but i dont really see the hero theme in it except for some parts of our opener and some superman music, but the biggest disappointment for a lot of people in our band is that we dont have fluglehorns this year! Especially for me since i was the only one who actually wanted to play it in a band of 190 people 23 of them being trumpet players. It seems like the only ones who care are all of the seniors who already graduated.
Anyways. Last year our theme was weather or the sky or something along those lines...

Our band is doing an 80's theme, our drum major loves the 80's
the songs were playing so far are:
Stayin Alive
Give It All You Got
Shake It Up
Celebration
Eye Of The Tiger
Ghostbusters
Cars(the songs from the disney movie)
and Thriller
Those are the songs we're playing right now, actually, we're only playing 4/8 of those songs cause alot of the band is freshmen and they're still learning

Lot's of Cirque de Soleil's. My band is too small to pull that type of theme off (we have 25 people crying ).
But this year we're doing a sort of... spy-ish show? I don't know how to describe it. It opens with the Pink Panther Theme (which I have a solo in), James Bond: For Your Eyes Only, and closes with Secret Agent Man. All of the songs are pretty cool, I just wish my two percussionist friends didn't quit... they were both so good, and now we're stuck with two froshies that never watch the drum major or stay on beat. x_x;;

my band did West Side Story Last year... and Phantom of the Opera Two Years ago and my Freshman year we did..British sketches..and this year it is...
INTO THE RAGING RIVER.... its actuallly realllly cool lol

It kicks butt. It's majorly HXC. We're in a skull & crossbones for the first set of the opening & the guard has a sword fight with their flags.

The Only Taven We'er doing Wicked. You know, the broadway musical adapted from the book. We went to see the play and everything in preperation for it. Main pieces are The Wizard and I (with excerpts from Dear Old Shiz, No one mourns the Wicked, etc.) For Good But I'm sure there's a good chunk of Defying Gravity in there somewhere. Lucky b***h. I just saw it last week. I wonder how it sounds though... the guard director thinks Broadway sucks on the field.

Turn Turn Turn- The Birds (i think)
Walkin on the Sun
We love it cause it's all techno and stuff for mr. Roboto and the crowd sings along ^^.

our band is doin gustav holst the planets it is named "Heliocentric" consists of mars and jupiter, venus, earth angel, moondance by van morrison, and jupiter by earth, wind & fire. our show is amazing we won class 1a at showcase in louisiana last year hopfully we pull a top ten and 1a chams again
