And why are you hoping?
You could just do it yourself. It doesn't have to be an accident or by chance. Perhaps I'm not ready to cut a vein. I probably shouldn't have said I hope one day I will. But I did post that comment a while ago. Things have changed. I still do it daily, but now I'm hoping not to cut a vein.
Why do you do it?

Life's so much better without hiding.
Been clean since December 11th of 2007.
That's when I told my momma 'bout it. ^-^
My boyfriend gave me the courage to just tell her and promised I'd be fine.
And, even now when I get overwhelmed I just talk to it about to my cloe friends, my parents, or my boyfriend. <3
I guess I'm lucky. =]

I cut with the blade out of pencil sharpeners I've tried to quit but its a lost cause

It's just that you're not willing to try to stop. Or you're not trying hard enough.
NOTHING is considered a lost cause because there is SOMETHING you can always do about it before it happens.

As much as I know it is possible for people to get the same traits as their parents such as alocholics and the like, you can change. Genes don't decide everything. Not everything is written in stone or in paper or in skin or in DNA. You have your mind. You have yourself. Use it as you will but if you don't try you'll never learn from it. Try hard or Try harder.

If you're going to be dumb enough to blame YOU cutting YOUR wrists on YOUR genes, then you're pathetic.
Genetic codes passed down from whoever you share your DNA with does NOT determine that you will not be able to stop yourself from CUTTING.
