SaberFireTiger Yes Chloe can die, but that doesn't mean she did. Yes Lucy is supposed to be with Jimmy, but is it so out of the ordinary to be with someone else before you are with your intended. Like Clark and Lois for example, they are supposed to be together, but Clark used to be with Lana. So, Jimmy can be with Chloe now and then with Lucy later.

I like the character to but they did plan to kill her off near the end.

I've never heard anything about them planning to kill off Chloe near the end; that's always been fan speculation, but it's never been confirmed by the producers for obvious reasons.

I like the character to but they did plan to kill her off near the end.Since we still have one or two more seasons to go, I wouldn't really call it "the end". Oh, and what fact? I would like to see this fact? When did the producers confirm that?

All I know is that Chloe isn't dead now. She can die, but she hasn't yet.

She could have very well sacrificed the one time she could use her power. I don't think she is dead though. So she can't use her power anymore but she is still alive.
