The waves lapped around Emiko's feet, salt water swirling around her darker tawny paws. Beside her walked a smaller creature, and on one shoulder lay a tiny Gryphon - eyes wide to the world around her. Her large tail flicked behind her, sending a spray of water up against the back of her legs. That motion certainly wouldn't be repeated in a hurry.

"That's the sea," She commented, momentarily pointing towards the vast ocean before them. It spanned out for miles upon miles, all the way to the horizon, and far past any sea lovers eye. An expanse of water, just waiting to be explored. Unfortunately, Blanche didn't seem to be so ecstatic about the whole matter.

The little gryphon twisted her head from one side to the other, golden orbs taking in everything around her. From the way the sea breeze swept her thick white fur, to the way the water splashed over her Guardian's chocolate paws. Teetering from where she stood, large wings flapped every so often to keep her balance. Whether it did was another question all together, but the speckled wings still continued their duty in extending every so often.

Clacking her beak together, the Gryphon turned to glance at the sea. Black beak pressed forwards, tail swishing across Emi's hair as she took it all in. This learning business certainly was complicated.

Toby pawed on behind the pair of them, taking one step at a time. Every so often he would catch up to Emi, only to lapse back a moment later. He plucked up one white paw after the other, lifting it from the water, and then splashing it back down into the shallow water. Droplets splashed all over his coat, and sooner or later - shallow water or no shallow water - the rough border collie would be soaked.

Arianna had decided to try and get away from the house. It seemed strange that it was such a hard thing to do, but that was obviously the case. Either that or Ari was extremely lazy or something. It could be a little of both, she supposed.

She had packed a small shoulder bag with seeds for Wiya, water, a sandwitch for herself, sunblock, and some other odds and ends. She didn't think she'd be needing most of it, but better safe than sorry. And since Shashta wasn't coming, for cats don't tend to like the beach, there was less to load up.

It was no surprise Rawiya was enthusiastic about going out. It was her nature to be easily excited like that. She pranced and sqwaked the whole way there without end. Ari found it rather adorable.

Upon reaching the place where the sand mixed in with tall grasses and reeds Wiya became even more energetic. And she got rather confused as well, for the ground was no longer solid. It sunk to some degree and she stood pawing at it for a moment before racing a headed and dancing around in the dust she caused.

Seeing the ocean after the sand cloud cleered she let out a whinney and dashed forward again, her blue wings spreading out to catch the wind as she ran. She left hoof-prints in the sand as she went, though they were rather smeary and unclear. Neither the guardian nor Aerandir knew there were other visitors to the beach as well.

The dust cloud looming just a few metres off really wasn't too hard to miss. Great ears flicked against the furry's head, darker brown tips twitching as the squawking sound flew over the wind. Blue orbs glanced over the beach, resting on the small dust cloud darting around on the beach. Wait, was that blue wings?

Blanche took a double take, golden orbs following the excitable Aerandir. Her beak clacked together, head tilting to one side. Paws slipping, her tail wrapped around the edge of her Guardian's neck, stepping back into the safe confinements just under Emi's hair. Folding her wings, just her black beak pointed forwards, but even that was retracting back gradually.

"It's alright," Emi whispered, pulling the gryphon out of her hair. It took a while to pull her un-stuck, carefully prising locks of chocolate brown curly hair from ear furry white paw. Blanche wriggled, pulled, and pushed to be back at Emi's chest. The last lock of hair fell free with an audible inhale of breath from both.

"It's only a dust cloud...with wings?" Emi commented. It didn't help. Blanche's paws flapped against Emi's fingers, urging to be back where she wanted to be. The guardian gave in, curling her arms so the Aerandir could press up against her t-shirt without climbing back up onto her shoulder.

Taking a step forwards, all three of them headed back onto the sandy beach. Wet paws collected dry sand, and curious minds were about to become satisfied. Squinting her blue orbs, Emi could just about make out another figure walking down onto the beach - maybe she owned this creature?

"It might be best not to disturb," It was only a simple suggestion, but all but one creature agreed to. Blanche, still standing stalk against her guardian's t-shirt like a soldier to a post, rocked her head to one side. Curiosity had quickly taken over cautiousness. Whoever said cats we're curious had forgotten to mention foxes.

The cloud slowly settled as Rawiya brought herself to a jerking halt upon a rather large mount of sand. Large ears were pulled sharply forward in great interest as her eyes gazed out at the large mass of blue stretching out before her. She had a strange acknowledgement that the strange mass was blue just like her feathers! She wondered if it was made of feathers?

Her tail swished with a flick to the side and her head jerked suddenly round as she heard people coming up from the strange thing before her. There were three of them and each seemed to have...well...something like Shasta had in some form or another. Fur, it was called, right? She wasn't sure.

She was torn between racing up to meet them and running back to Ari in terror. So, she chose a mix of the two. She raced up to them, tossing her head and then with a snort and a caw she danced about and turned and galloped back to Ari's side.

Ari watched the spektical from a distance, wondering what was going on. When Wiya came back she blinked, petting her dark beak, "What's up girl? Someone down there?" She looked over her Aerandir to squint at what might be someone not far off int he distance.

Emi's large ears suddenly perked up, turning on her tail. It had only been a few moments, but as the furry squinted the dust cloud became visible. A pair of striped ears, large glossy blue wings, and striped tail danced before her feet. It wasn't a sight neither Blanche nor Emi were ever to forget, watching the Aerandir frolic and render her hooves in the air, as if she was speaking an un-known language with dance.

Blanche's ears flickered back to her skull, preening her head back into her feathers. Muscles taunt, golden eyes watched the display in front of her. Her beak clacked in a bewildered welcome, wings rustling silently. Darker feathers pressed against the next, pinning her tail tightly between her legs. Not knowing what to do, or say, the Arctic Fox gryphon backed up against her guardian.

"She just wanted to say hello," Emi mused, an edge of apprehension found in her tone. Hadn't that been? Tail flicking to tighten around one ankle, the woman found herself faking an encouraging smile. Stealthily, she pushed one paw in front of the others, following the way Rawiya had galloped only a few moments before. It was now or never, and if her reasoning happened to be correct - Blanche was just about to meet her second Aerandir Gryphon.

Not one to be left out, Toby bounded after his guardian. Stalking her legs, he darted over one furry paw to the next, wrapping a full circle around Emiko's furry ankles. Tail spurring into action, his chestnut orbs glanced up towards Emiko. Tongue lolling out, he jumped up onto his hind paws, succeeding in knocking his cold nose into Blanche's side. He looked like a ballet dancer, prancing up on his back paws, trotting backwards just for a few steps. Except Toby was no dancer. Falling un-gracefully back onto all fours, he trotted patiently by Emi's side.

Golden orbs watched the dog, and muscles tensed as a cooling wet nose protruded into one furry leg. Physically relaxing, Blanche curled her tail back round, the overly furry appendage following the dogs own- swishing from one side to the other in turn. The gryphon clicked her beak together, sharp eyes battering with questions as they drew near.

"Let's just say hello, alright? Just a hello." Emi stated. A smile found her features as both creatures relaxed, her ears lapsing back against her hairline. A few long curly locks fell onto Blanche's back, the woman exhaling a long breath. Here goes nothing.

"Morning," Emi exclaimed, making her way up the beach towards Ari and Rawiya.

Ari continued to peer over the tall, winged back of her aerandir companion before she spotted the others coming. Her features softened and a smile formed upon her lips. Ah, so they were going to have company! Well, the more the merrier, as the saying goes, right? Giving Wiya another pat, she moved swiftly around her side and walked toward the three who had almost reached them.

Rawiya's head was lifted high, her neck straight and stiff as her ears swivled about in curiousity. Her beak clicked a few times as she watched her guardian move forward. Her sleak blue feathers were ruffled in restlessness as her tail began to thrash about slightly as if a fly was irratating her. She just had too much energy to stand still like this.

Ari didn't seem to have the same problem as her friend, for she was relaxed and pleasent about the meeting. "Hello there," she smiled welcomingly at the dog, aerandir, and guardian.

Not wanting to miss out on all the fun, Wiya ducked her head in a jerking motion and cantered foward, slowing to a trot as she reached Ari's side. There she stopped with a flare of her wings and a squwak in their direction. Even if the gryphon was very active, she didn't seem one to be threating in any sort of way.

"Hello," Starting, that was always the worst part about meeting somebody new. What to say, what to do, and what (more importantly) not to do as not to offend. Putting on a smile, Emi glanced from the Aerandir Gryphon, and then up towards the guardian beside her. Unravelling her tail, the long appendage swished on the breeze behind her, the furry tip quickly being devoured by the sand.

Taken aback, Blanche crept a little closer. Head cocked to one side, she pulled back as soon as Rawiya made a noise. Threatening or not, Blanche wasn't quite taking everything in her stride today. The gryphon backed up, white paws slipping and sliding over Emi's tawny arms.

"Go on then..." Emi whispered, lowering the struggling Gryphon to the ground. Blanche darted up, furry paws grappling with her guardian's arms. Golden eyes watched her mother with a pure look of display, diving head first behind Emi's legs.

Sand blew up around her like a snowstorm, speckles dropping over her white furry pelt and tail. Closing those large orbs, Blanche dived her head down onto the sand. Leaning in on her front paws, the gryphon glanced out of one eye at the larger zebra mix in front of her.

Ever so cautiously, the other eye slipped open. Watching Rawiya as if she would pounce her at any moment, Blanche slipped her rump down towards the floor. It would have been quite a display of calm if she'd done it slowly, except - she hadn't. Dropping her white rump to the floor, sand billowed up over her back, particles weeding their way into her tail.

"She's an Aerandir Gryphon, right? Sorry." Emi questioned, quickly adding the apology to the end as if the world would self-destuct if it wasn't there. A nervous smile spread from one furry ear to the other, brushing a few strands of hair back behind one ear. It was only then did she allow herself to briefly watch the play between the two.

Ari didn't seem as nervous as Emi, for her smile was soft and relaxed. It was true she wasn't exactly sure what to say, but she was glad for the company none the less. She, Wiya, and Shasta had been alone in the house for a long while without seeing anyone else on the island. So, awkward or not, she was enjoying herself.

Rawiya bent her head down low to the ground to watch the white gryphon scramble around. She cocked her head to one side, one of her striped ears turning on her head. What was this strange creature like her, yet not like her, doing? She was confused by Blanche's behavior she stood rather still and just...well, stared.

"Yes...she is. A Zebra and Macaw mix..." Ari smiled warmly, though a small hint of red filled her cheeks. "I'm Arianna, by the way...and this is Rawiya." Her reply seemed very sincere, if a tad self-consious. Her pleasure couldn't be hidden, however. Luckily Ari wasn't the type to become hyper due to her joy.

"Nice to meet you both," Returning the warm smile with one of her own equally warm (if a little nervous) grins, Emi's large ears flickered back from her skull. That was the worst of it over. Tail swishing from one side to the other behind her, the furry caught a quick second glance down at the two Aerandir acquainting themselves.

"I'm Emiko, but everyone just calls me Emi, and that little white bundle of fluff is Blanche," Emi started, taking a moment to watch Rawiya staring at Blanche. Pausing to adjust her paws, as not to step on the Arctic Aerandir, the furry looked over the black and white striped Rawiya. One thing was for sure, Rawiya certainly wasn't subtle. Yet despite the contrasting blue and white, she was still an awe to behold.

Blanche didn't move. Like a statue, she stayed stark still, her white tail and ears quivering. It was hard enough to stay still, never mind have somebody else staring at you. Addressing the large Gryphon, Blanche's beak opened momentarily, closing quickly for a stifled click of welcome. Glued to the spot, her other golden orb slowly opened, gazing back up at the Zebra mix from her spot between Emi's legs.

Maybe it wasn't too bad? With confidence starting to flood through her veins, the Gryphon clicked once more. A subtle sound, but one of welcome, not of fear. Sand settled on her fur, the golden particles sticking to the end of her thick fur pelt. Her back foot twitched, etching behind her - ready to bolt behind Toby if needs be.

"Rawiya's stunning, Blanche is an Arctic Owl and Arctic Fox mix if you were wondering." Emi added, bending down. Stooping, she pulled the little Gryphon out from between her paws. Plucking her up, she gently placed the quivering Gryphon a little way from Rawiya.
"Go on, before I end up accidentally standing on you. She won't bite, I promise." Whispering just into Blanche's ear, Emi brushed lightly behind one large white ear, pulling herself back up onto her feet a moment later.

A little more apprehensive on the subject, Blanche instantly dropped down onto her stomach. Neat little white paws spayed out in front of her, golden orbs watching the other gryphon with a look that could have even be classified as curious.

Ari smiled, nodding and looking down at the small fox-owl aerandir. She was tempted to pet her, but knowing how jittery she seemed she resisted. She didn't want to startle her and besides, it was her place to decide if she was one to like stroking or not. So instead she commented to Emi, "She's very beautiful..."

Rawiya was having quiet a time figuring the little gryphon out, however. She stared at Blanche, barely blinking as the she slowly gained the courage to start clicking. At these small, friendly clicks her striped ears twitched and she began to bob her head up and down, like a horse would who was close to tossing her head around.

When Blanche took flopped onto her belly curiously, Wiya took two steps back and tossed her head fully. She flapped her wings and sqwaked, clicking her beak and swishing her tail about. The movements seemed happy enough...perhaps this was her way of greeting the other gryphon propperly.

Pressing one white paw out in front of her, Blanche paused for a brief moment. Yellow orbs wide as the fellow Aerandir tossed her head around, before bobbing it up and down in welcome. Her small ears flickered back to her skull, white furry tips pressing right back against her white feathers.

Ever so gradually, she shuffled forwards in the sand. Like a man in the army, she appeared to get closer without anyone else noticing, until she was at the point where her black beak met with the end of Rawiya's. The gryphon clicked nervously, each stuttering click falling after the next in a brief series. Well, she was making an effort.

"Thank you..." Emi started, finding herself fiddling nervously with the edge of her t-shirt. She felt like a five year old primary school child who had just arrived on the playground, and thus didn't know who/ or what to talk to. Her long tail brushed back behind her, drifting the sand up so a curved hole formed where her tail had brushed a moment before.

"All the Aerandir are stunning in their own way." Finishing up, she set her gaze back down on the smaller Gryphons. As long as Blanche was having fun she was up to being social, and it appeared Blanche was finally settling into this whole 'meeting people' business.

Neither furry nor canine saw the sun dip behind a few clouds, nor the onslaught of sand seeping through the timer. It was only after a moment of silence between the two chatting guardians that Emi glanced up, almost squeaking. Bending down, she plucked up the little Aerandir, feigning her best apologetic smile.

"Sorry, it's getting late - sorry, I promised myself I'd finish something up before sundown. Sorry," Apologizing twenty times, the furry turned on her heel. Tail pinning around one leg, she headed back up the beach- rather embarrassed about the whole ordeal.

Abbey trotted down the track, a bit absent, False's two chakrams swinging innocently from a cord strung to her belt.. It was an impromptu walk - she was only planning on going around Setone for a bit of fresh air, and to have an opportunity to meet some of her neighbours. Her internal clock seem to have failed her though - from a glance the sky was still dim - it was probably around 5AM. Noone seemed to be about; somewhat of a set back to her plan to meet more people. Well, exercise was exercise.

False looped along beside her, quite taken with his new form. Compared to Abbey's lazy pace, False seemed to be on a bit of a high as he zipped around, and often through things, his ethereal, blue tail trailing after him. Abbey was still amused, but he'd been carrying on with it for almost a week. He never strayed too far from the girl - he disliked the feel of venturing too far from his bonded items - so at least it wasn't so much a hassle to keep track of him. She wasn't expecting him to get bored of it for awhile; certainly long after she had.

Sanar sat on her mother's stomach with the teen semi-conscious beneath her. They were near the outskirts of the village and Sanar was neatly laying out the sanddollars she'd collected from the beach on the ground beside them.

"San... hun... I know you said we had to get up early or the sanddollars would dissapear but, luv, why can't we go home now?" Chao was not a morning person, after 3 AM the teen just wanted to sleep for as long as she could.

Sanar didn't care what time of day or night it was, she was just enjoying the light breeze and the predawn setting of the island. She glanced at her mother and considered the question, "'caus it's nice 'ere."

Chao groaned slightly and pondered simply sleeping on the ground, bugs and the hardness of the ground be damned.

False noticed the Aerandir and her keeper first, stopping in his constant movement to eye the figures. It didn't take him much time before he left Abbey wandering along the trail to join the two strangers. Abbey perked up as False disappeared, sighting the Aerandir and the girl. It'd been awhile since she'd seen any of her neighbours -- but this girl was definately familiar. She tilted her head and consulted her memories, brow furrowing. Chao...?

The wisp floated right through Sanar on his approach, spinning around to face the two quizzically. Abbey was still a bit away, having retained her lazy stroll, but she raised her hand and cried out a greeting, "Hi there!"

Sanar started slightly as she felt something dive through her, clicking in light confusion. As she sighted the blue wisp she grinned warmly and leant forward, "lolo!" she greeted the little blue form.

Chao blinked her eyes open, waking from the light doze she'd settled into at Abbey's call, craning her head she smiled and returned the wave, "hello over there! Good morning!"
