Topanga listened with rapt attention, her heart fluttering quicker with each point. It was still stuck on 'love' and 'perfect match' & trying to smack some sense into the clownfish's doubting mind. Still she continued to listen as he described an open relationship, feeling a little ache but pushing it aside. Aki was suggesting this for her. So that she would not need to feel afraid that she might be unfaithful. ...in the end they will be together. The phrase echoed in her head until the next took its place: bind themselves to each other.
She squeaked happily, spinning around Aki in an excited circle & pulling him along in her impromptu dance. Then she had wiggled her way against his chest, spinning herself into his arm the hand of which Topanga still clutched in her fin. Deep blue eyes sparkled as she smiled happily into his silver-gray eyes with love. "Yes!" Topanga agreed breathlessly. "Oh, Aki!! Yes!"

Aki let her do her dance then when she was slowing down and had said yes he pulled her towards him and gave her a deep kiss. though he broke it before it got to long because he knew if they go to in to that they would not be finding a place to live like they planned. instead he let go of her and put his hand to her cheek, "Let hurrie and find a home so we can celebrate." He squeesed the fin in his hand and started to lead her back to where they first met

Melting into the kiss she was more than tempted for more right then. But she held back, wanting to hear his voice -though Aki's reaction had been more than enough to settle Topanga's thoughts. Not so her fast beating heart.
Her breathless "Yes lets" was quickly followed by a more thoughtful "but not so hurried we pick the wrong one."
Her inner struggle played on her face as she really wanted to "celebrate" as soon as possible. Still she wanted the perfect place for them. And their future young. Topanga turned her head to kiss the hand on her cheek then with a playful grin spun, kissed his nose and swam as fast as she could towards the gardens they had explored --was that only yesterday? She laughed. No. They had slept many times since then. How many days had it been since this venture started? Did it really matter? Topanga supposed she should go home soon, if only to check in. After they found a home. After they celebrated...
It might be a few days yet. Spinning to face Aki she flipped her tail alluringly at him & laughed. "Race ya!!"

Aki smiled, "all right on my mark." He caught up with her, "GO!!!" he yelled. He did not go as fast as he could. Aki just wanted to keep time with here and make it neck and neck the whole way. At the last minute when he was going to put on some speed something caught his eye and he stopped. He was looking at a cave entrance that looked a little promissing. He tunred in time to see her do a little celebrating dance at winning and it brought a smile to his face, "Hey~~ come on over here darling." he called and waved her over

Topanga stopped mid dance at his call & spun as if falling in the water. Once she righted herself she swam over to Aki curiously. "What is it?"
Snuggling under his arm between it & his body she was still a little giddy at having won and simply saw stopped time as "cuddle with Aki" time.

Aki kissed the top of her head as the female snuggled between his arm and his body. "look, it is a cave, lets check it out, hum?" though he did not let her go he kept a hold on her as he started in to the cave.

The way he said cave inclinded Topanga to believe that he preferred them which made her like them better herself. She really had no preferrence for the type of home they would share, so much as whether it had all the features they were hoping to find. And this already was close to the lovely gardens they had enjoyed so much together. Smiling happily into his side she swam eagerly with Aki towards the cave. "Mmm... okay."
Topanga tried to pretend only mild interest but if Aki even looked at her -and probably could feel it from where their bodies touched- he would see how excited the clownfish really was.

Aki could feel her excitement, but did not comment on it. it was because he was also very excited too. he would finally get to move out and make a family of his own... Mind you he would make regular trips to help out in Draco's tank, but that was not really the point. The point would be he would have a home to come home to with Topanga.
When the came in the first room looked big. Nice for entertaning people and having little frys play about. There was not as much light as he would have liked, but the glow plant could help with that. he looked at the female, "I like this room, nice and big." he slowly led her back to one of the tunnels

Big blue eyes gazed arounf the large first area, I like the size... but isn't it dark?" Topanga's mind was not yet thinking about about glowplants even as they went down one of the tunnels. That there were multiple tunnels thrilled her & looked to be a good sign. Would it not be wonderful to find the perfect place their first try? She tingled happily at everything that would mean.
Then she giggled. "Oh right... glow plants. And maybe some of those glowing mychorizids."
The first cave "room" off-shoot that she peeked into from the tunnel. It was small, but could make a comfortable room for a single fish. Light flickered in, & curious Topanga looked for the source, "Oh! This thin shaft is lined with barnacles! But they're reflective like mirrors! That's what brings the light down so nice!"
Spinning she beamed with pleasure at Aki & plced a quick kiss on his lips. "I wonder if there're more shafts like this as we go back!"

He smiled in to the kiss, "there probally are. many like this have lots of tunnels. that is why i like them for homes. Might even have some of their own up above of below for when fish want to move out, yet keep close." he took her fin in her hand and lead her out back to the main room, "you pick darling."

"Oh! Do you think our children will want to stay with us?" Topanga slipped into couple-thought so easily she did not even notice she had done so. "Hmmm... I pick? Then I pick..."
Spinning around she looked at the other tunnels. "This one!" Giggling she swam quickly down the selected tunnel.
The first thing she noticed was the large room at the end. She did not have to go in to see that it would easily be perfect for two as far as she was concerned. It was the last room to the left before getting there that pulled at her by some instinct or intuition and to which she swam full-tilt.
It was fairly small, but large enough two evolved beta would have a bit of room to move around each other if they did not mind being very close. Another barnacled shaft must have been lighting the room, but it was likely less covered or the angle from the sun through the water outside was not quite as direct for the light it gave was softly diffuse. But what caused Topanga to gasp with awe & enter reverently was a deep basin carved naturally out of the rock about midway up the left wall -where it could be seen from the room at the end of the hall. There was plenty of room to line it with soft kelp & mosses while still having high sides.
Topanga cast dreamy eyes behind her where she was sure the evolved male would be by now. "Oh, Aki... wouldn't this just make the perfect nursery?"
No doubt, she was starting to fall in love with the place.

Aki smiled, he did not realise that this place would feel sooo perfect so fast. he looked around the bigger room a bit before fallowing her to the room that was casted off. He was leaning against the wall when she spoke to him, "That i have to agree. perfect for when we have eggs togther." he motioned for her to fallow him. he wanted to look at the other tunnel. though when she was close he did give her a lobing peck on the head before swimming off.
The other tunnel went a short ways before splitting in to 3 more tunnels. one went a bit up while the other 2 kept the same level. from where they where they could tell that they where rooms good for fully grown beta, Aki pointed, "look lots of places to keep children to let them grow"

Topanga swam into his arms, dark blue eyes full of emotion. "Do you think we're counting our eggs too soon? I mean we... well we don't have..."
She blushed furiously. With all their playing perhaps they did. "eh... let's go see what else is connected to the home first."
But from the happy rise in her voice to the extra swish in her tail it was as if she knew she was just going through the motions and finishing the inspection... eagerly awaiting their coming celebration.
Topanga knew that as far as she was concerned, there would have to be something seriously wrong with the place for her to even want to look at another.

Aki looked a little creast fallen when she talking about counting before they had. though yes they did not yet... they had planed, had they not? and not like they had not been... well now was not the time to think about what they had been doing.
He fallowed a bit behind her watching as she looked over the rest of the place. It was a really good place, he really did not know it would be this easy to find. though he kept his eyes opened for any signs of anyone else living here.

Her heart ached, catching Aki's crestfallen look before she darted off to survey the other rooms. She desperately wanted to ask what had upset him... desperately wanted to bring his smile back and not be haunted so that she had caused that look. Topanga would much rather be the cause of his joy.
But she knew that if she had given pause she would leave the job half finished in favor of the joy she found in his arms and that she hoped she reciprocated in him. So she forced herself to dilignece, finding that many of the rooms did indeed have the "mirrored" shafts bringing in light and that no tunnel led to someplace dangerous.
When she was finished she turned to Aki, slightly breathless. "Well... can you find anything that warns away from this place? 'Cause there's only one room we've not checked thourally and... " her voice shook a little as it became both husky & sultry. "I'd like to try it out."
