IceintheInk angrymalazar Jaco Pastorius - If you don't know this guy, quit bass...now. Oh dear... I guess I better hit the music shop tomorrow then.. My my my, look into him, seriously. Probably the greatest fretless player to ever live, and he had a crazy life story. He got beat to death outside a club by a bouncer after being thrown out for antogonizing the bands bass player.

Zagorfandach Geezer Butler of Black Sabbath, occasionally on the Ozzy Osbourne Band, and his own project G/Z/R. He's the reason I picked up the bass in the first place-there's no question. I also love James Jamerson-he was a session musician with Stevie Wonder, the Supremes, Marvin Gaye, and tons of others. One of the first electric bass players. Jack Bruce of Cream's pretty far up there too. Those are the ones that first come to mind. I could go on though, I listen to almost too much music for my own good. dude, reminds me of me and i love me

Honesty, how can anybody claim these guys are their favorite bass players if you don't even know their names?! It doesn't take ******** long to look it up, and it saves you from looking like a jackass.
