The pain in Imuyenne's arm was gone just as soon as it began. "Yeah, my birthmark just felt like it was on fire for a second," she answered.
Oberon looked at the mark with interest.
"That mark, what's it supposed to mean?" he asked. Imuyenne shrugged.
"I don't know," she replied.

"What do you mean, its on your hand." Gwen said scowling at the girl. How could she not know? Marks usually show up not without a reason.
Fleur looked at the mark, studying it. She studied the shape in bewilderment. What could it mean?

Bat looked at the mark. It stirred something in his memory but he couldn't place it. He looked around, then at James.
"Say Lieutenant, you've been on the inside of the Empire. Does this mark mean anything to you?" he asked.

James caught the hacky-sack and walked closer to the group. His eyes widened slightly, he tried to control his features, but the shock was too much.
"It can't be." he gasped. He reached out his hand and brushed the mark with his fingertips.
"She's the one."

Imuyenne raised an eyebrow.
"The one?" she asked. Then it hit her like a ton of bricks.
"The one they are looking for," Oberon finished.

"She's the reason all the guilds were being sacked. The Empire figured that while they searched for her, they'd get rid of all the meddlesome guilds that opposed them while they were at it," Bat explained.
"I don't understand," Imuyenne said. "What does it mean?" Everone looked at James expectantly.

James thought for a moment, his face changed from shock to confusion.
"I umm....I really don't know exactly, I just know that she's the one." he said in quiet awe. What if he brought her to the empire? He blocked out the thought. Maybe they could figure it out.
Gwen shrugged and pulled out a knife.
"Bat, if the Empire is looking for her she might be a danger to us. I purpose an execution. I call Executioner!!"

Imuyenne's eyes got wide.
"Whoa! We had a deal!" she exclaimed shrilly.
Oberon put a hand on Gwen's shoulder.
"Steady on there, danger or not, she has a right to know why they want her," he said smartly. Bat looked at him quizzically.
"You look as if you have an idea, Oberon. Would you care to enlighten us?" he asked.

"Whatever, I still say execution," Gwen mumbled. She could care less about what Imuyenne had to say. She had stalked the guild and therefore had a reason to maybe kill them. She was working for someone and it would be better just to get rid of the extra mouth to feed.
Shan looked at Bat and whispered: "Shouldn't we find out why she was attempting to stalk us?"

Imuyenne heard Shan's whisper and looked ashamed.
"I just wanted to get out," she admitted. "They never let me out of the guild house. I was always watched. I just wanted out. I thought I'd watch you to see what thieves did to make such a pain in the Empire's backside, and try it back at the Dragon Claw to get a bit of freedom," she explained.
Oberon looked at Bat and smiled.
"I think I know someone who can help us," he said.

"Well, nice to know that you still have contacts," De'Gelis said with a smile.
Oberon chuckled.
"Who is this contact?" Bat asked.
Oberon smiled. "An old friend by the name of Tawni Illusa. She is actually working right now so we should be able to talk to her," he answered with a broad grin.
