The security doors burst open, and several troops armed with machine guns came into the stasis chamber. The man that had been with the doctor lay dead, and the doctor himself just stood by the panel laughing. "Step away from the control panel or we will open fire!" one of the troops yelled. The doctor just kept on laughing.
"Go right ahead, it will be the biggest mistake of your lives!" he replied. The soldier who had spoken made a gesture, and the clicking of guns could be heard.
"You have five seconds!" he yelled. The doctor ignored him completely. "Five! Four! Three! Two!" the soldier yelled, but he was cut off by a hissing coming from Don's stasis chamber. The liquid flowed out onto the floor, and the doctor ducked behind the capsule.
"Open fire!"
Bullets whizzed through the air, cracking the glass of the tube that Don had slept in. Don opened his eyes and pulled off the mask just as a bullet hit him in the arm. He cried out in pain and crumpled to the ground. The doctor hit a switch and the wings started to glow and pulse something into Don.
"Destroy that thing! Now!" the soldier yelled. Every troop opened fire on Don, and soon his body was riddled with bullet holes.
"Get up, or you'll die! You will be destroyed, just like your mother and father!!" the doctor roared. That got Don's attention. He rose and the bullet holes dissapeared. The mechanical wings broke off, revealing the tattoo's that you had come to know.

Don roared, a demonic roar of pure rage and power. The entire complex shook with the force. His eyes started to go blank, his iris' and pupils disappearing and in their place plain whiteness, except for a pinprick of red light in the center of the eye. He grew fangs, fangs that would even make a vampire cower in fear. The wings burst out of his back in a shower of black and gold blood. They were the skeletal frames of huge bat wings, they spread from one side of the huge room to the other. Black skin formed over the wings and white feathers burst from the flesh to form a strange mixture of demon and angel wings. Don's hair turned so black that it looked like a void where not even light could escape. His muscles pulsed and swelled, but his body features softened. His strength was apparent, but he still remained graceful looking. His entire form was human, aside from these major differences.

"The graceful form and movements of an angel, the raw power of a demon, and the appearence of his normal self so that the world will know who he is!" the doctor yelled triumphantly. Don spread his wings and flapped them, sending razor sharp feathers into the faces of several troops. They staggered back as blood gushed from the wounds, and Don suddenly appeared in the thick of them. His wings had become smaller so he could fight more easily, and he moved quickly to dispatch his opponents. Even for a demon or an angel, his speed and strength was impossible. He should have broken apart from the strain of his actions. Everything he did flowed with beautiful, deadly grace. His attacks turned flesh to liquid even before he actually came into contact with the target. Soldiers were thrown against walls, only to explode like eggs dropped off of a 50 story building. Bullets didn't even reach him, they burned up as they entered his energy field. He was unstoppable.

The vision cleared and you saw the aftermath. The entire room was covered in blood, it was worse than a horror movie. Bodies were sprawled all over the room, some missing limbs, some puddles of goo, some of them totally ripped apart. Don lay unconcious on the floor, covered in the blood of his assailants. He was back to his human form, with the tattoo's on his back. Another group of soldiers ran in, and they were utterly horrified. One called in what they were seeing, and asked what to do.
"Bring that child to us, if we can't destroy him we need him to be on our side," a voice replied. The soldiers came and carried Don out, one of them sighing.
"He's been through all this because of that man," he said, gesturing to the doctor who had also been ripped apart, "He's not even as old as my son at home..."

Don opened his eyes, and stretched. He looked up at Mai, and turned bright red. "Uhm, hi!" he stammered, quickly removing his head from her lap and sitting up. He saw the look on her face and frowned. "What's wrong?" he asked.

"Wh-what?!" he moved back, his body shaking, "How could you have seen...?"

Don sat down and put his head in his hands. "Guess I wanted to show someone more than I thought..." he whispered.

"Especially when you're a halfbreed who's wanted dead by everyone and everything in the world," he said, giving a weak smile.

"Okay, ALMOST everyone," he said.

He snapped at her hand and smiled, skimming a finger and drawing a bit of blood. It wouldn't have hurt much, he didn't want to cause pain. Just antagonize.
