Kisa looked surprised as well, upon hearing his reply. "Really?" she asked curiously. "Why do you.. think that is?" She didn't really see anything particularly strange about him that would bother someone, except for maybe the fact he'd popped out of nowhere to join them. That hadn't really been bad though. She paused, then glanced down at Kurri. The cat was still laying on her lap, and she absently began petting him. "I don't think I'm the right type either," she admitted, her ears drooping just the slightest bit.

"Ah but you raise up to face the challenges before you. That is what turns people into noble warriors. I'm sure when you get older you will be a force to reckon with. I can sense it, your soul is strong and your will power is even stronger. You will be able to overcome any obsticle that comes your way. Just be sure to never loose faith in what you can accomplish on your own okay?" Luna smiled again and gently shook the small girls hand.

Turning her head over to Vamp she noticed the look on his face. Standing up she stepped up beside him and looked out the window as well. "An omen?"

"Why?" Kohaku echoed, and he thought for a moment. "Probably because... I don't let people understand me. I'm a very secure person, and I like to keep things to myself..." Kohaku admitted. He sighed, then looking at Kisa. "It's different when I'm with you guys, though. I feel like I don't have to be as secure and uptight. That's why I joined up with you guys... But... that doesn't make sense... does it?" He told her, looking at his feet almost shamefully.

"I don't even know what I'm getting at..." Kohaku sighed, shrugging his shoulders. His white hair had dried out by now, and he jumped as a bolt of lightning illuminated the sky. However... this bolt of lightning was... red? He could only hear it faintly... but was that a roar that he just heard? All of the sudden... the power went out. "Kisa-san?" He asked, grabbing her shoulder so he knew where she was and could keep near her.

Ayame jumped at the clash of thunder and the suddeness of the lightning that lit the sky. Daisuke's ears twitched ferociously at the sound of the roar. Daisuke held Ayame close to him, leading her back into the dark inn. Of course, Daisuke could see through the darkness, for he had the eys of a cat. "Ayame, be carefull. I'm leading you back to the table, okay?" eh asked her gently.

"D-Daisuke... I'm afraid of thunder and lightning." Ayame whispered pitifully in reply. He told her that he knew that, and she was pulled along slowly. Once more, thunder cracked through the sky, and Ayame let out a short scream, falling to the ground, grabbing her head. "D-Daisuke..." She muttered.

"..oh..." Kisa said quietly, looking down at Kurri. She wasn't sure what to say to that, and soon found herself thinking as well. She wasn't sure why she was always alone. Maybe people were annoyed by her? Was she doing something bad without realizing it? She glanced at Kohaku for a moment, and opened her mouth to speak. "I think tha-" she began, cutting off at the lightning bolt.

The lights shut off and she jumped in alarm, tense at first under Kohaku's touch, until she realized that it was just him and not something else. She looked towards him, her canine eyes occassionally relfecting what little light there was, and glowing gold in the dark. "I-I'm here," she whispered, hugging Kurri to herself so he wouldn't be startled. She knew that he, like herself, had heard the roar from the distance.

She jumped though, as she heard a scream. "Ayame?" she asked, sniffing the air lightly, and then turning her head in the girl's direction. She could tell Daisuke was with her though, so she didn't jump up from her chair. She'd probably just end up tripping over something in her haste, even if she could see somewhat.

Kohaku blinked, though his blink almost invisible. No one could see it anyways... it was too dark. However... he saw Kisa's almost golden eyes in the dark, and he almost gasped. The golden color was very pretty... yet... he couldn't say this. He would upset Kisa if he told her this. He didn't have that kind of relationship with Kisa, and he felt he might never. This... saddened Kohaku.

Daisuke fell to the floor with Ayame, and he held her tightly. His eyes darted around wildly, his ears twitching madly at any sound. "Ayame..." He whispered softly, picking her up slowly. He walked slowly, watching his step. "Kisa! Kohaku! Can you hear me?" He called out through the darkness. "Ayame, she..!" he paused, feeling Ayame tremble and grab his shoulder once more at the sound of thunder.

Kohaku stood up, hearing Daisuke call out to him and Kisa. "Hai?!" He called back to him, question in his voice. He reached for the candle that was on the table, took the wick to his lips, and he muttered, "Illuminate." He took the candle away from his mouth, the small flame dancing atop the candle. "Can you see better, Daisuke?" He asked. He looked over, notcing the pale, frightened Ayame. He gasped, but when he tried to get up, Daisuke shook his head, and walked back to the table. He watched as he laid Ayame down on the booth, and he sighed. He was jealous, to say the least.

Kisa looked around, trying to see through the darkness but only able to make out faint outlines of the things nearest her. Needless to say, she couldn't see Daisuke and Ayame. When she heard Daisuke call towards him, but then trail off, her eyes widened slightly. Ayame what? Was she hurt?! She sniffed the air silently, but didn't smell any blood... "We're over here!" she replied a little awkwardly as she stood.

But she saw a momement in the dark, and stared at it, also hearing a small murmur. A moment later, a candle had been lit, and she was gazing at Kohaku in surprise. But she looked back to Daisuke again, hugging Kurri a little closer to herself, as she watched Daisuke helping Ayame along. She felt really horrible and selfish, but again she got that feeling of loneliness, despite her being surrounded by people currently.

"...everyone alright?" she asked softly.

Daisuke nodded, running his hand through her hair. He sighed, feeling her cheeks, and then her forehead. She was... a little warm. He blinked, feeling Ayame's hand grab his, and she put his hand to her face. his hand was cold, so it probably felt good on her cheeks. "Small fever..." He told Kisa simply, running his hand down Ayame's face. "Mm.. Kisa, don't use your powers. Ayame will be fine... she's just exhausted. Promise." He told her, giving her a reassuring smile.

Kohaku sighed, standing up. "I feel I've worn out my welcome. I should be going..." Kohaku sighed sadly. He didn't want to leave, to tell the truth, but he didn't feel like he belonged in this picture. He bowed, gave a grin, and walked outside. He didn't leave.. but he needed a cool-down. She sat on the bench, the wind blowing the rain onto his pale face. He closed his eyes, and let out a sigh of relief. "Mom..." He muttered, "I miss you so much." And he just sat in the cold rain. He was angry, a little, and he was jealous. He knew that he shouldn't be... but... this was crazy. What happened to the cheerful, carefree Kohaku?

Daisuke watched curiously as Kohaku took his leave. He blinked, but he could tell that he didn't really leave. he couldn't smell him, of course. The rained dulled the smell of everything greatly, so it just smelled like.. ah... nature? Yes, a fine way to put it. "Kisa-chan..." He whispered, "Why are you so lonely?" He asked, almost cluing in that she should be out there with Kohaku. "I wonder if Kohaku feels lonely too...?"

Kisa hesitated, but slowly nodded her head. "Ok.." Besides, she wasn't sure if she could heal illnessed anyway. She'd never really tried. She stepped back lightly, her eyes shifting next to Kohaku. Again she looked surprised, eyes slightly wide as she watched him leaving. She suddenly felt even worse, like it was her fault he'd left. It probably was her fault... She bit her lip, hugging Kurri a little tighter to herself.

And then she looked towards Daisuke, just staring for a moment with an almost pained expression, her eyes blue and her ears drooping. "I don't..." she began faintly, paused, and started over. How could she explain. "I feel like something's missing," she whimpered. "And I don't understand why." She looked back towards the door, took a step in that direction, and then stopped again. What should she do? If it was her fault he'd left, then Kohaku wouldn't want to see her again! But maybe he was lonely? She winced slightly, confused.

"Kisa-chan..." Daisuke sighed, standing up next to her. He took Kurri gently from her arms, and he gave her a small nudge to the door. "Just go see him... don't blame yourself for things so often, Kisa-chan! Be happy." He rubbed Kurri's head with his hand softly, and he blinked a few times. He wondered if this would all work out. "what are you thinking, Kurri?" He asked the cat. He seemed he was almost being squeezed to death by the saddened Kisa.
PostPosted: Tue Mar 06, 2007 2:36 pm

Kisa hesitated, taking another couple steps towards the door at Daisuke's nudge. But she stopped, peering over her shoulder at him. Kurri was stolen away, and her arms fell limp by her sides, gripping randomly at the edges of her pants. She met Daisuke's eyes, then Kurri's, and very hesitantly nodded her head, before trudging her way to the door. She wasn't sure what she was doing, and he might already be long gone, but she still needed to at least check. The rain would cover up his scent and make tracking hard...

But it seemed she didn't have to worry about that. As soon as she stuck her head out through the door, she noticed Kohaku sitting on a bench outside, in the rain. Another small pause on her part, and she silently walked over to him, sitting beside him as she stared at the ground, hands clasped nervously in her lap. "...are you ok?" she asked quietly, not looking at him. Her eyes were still very blue. Even if he didn't understand what that mean, she was still aware of it and felt guiltly. She seemed to be making everyone sad recently..

Kurri watched her go, and then let out a rather heavy sigh. "I don't understand some people," he admitted, glancing up at Daisuke. "If she's lonely, why's she so reluctant to follow him?" He wrinkled his nose lightly, trying to figure things out but not having much luck. "So confusing.."

Jacklin did her best to understand what Luna was saying but only being five years old she wasn't able to understand everything. Nevertheless she closed her eyes and nodded her head forcefully in agreement.

When her eyes opened again, she saw Luna looking toward her father who was now looking out the window. She wasn't sure what was going on, but she could tell from the looks on their faces that it probably wasn't good.

Kohaku removed his hand from his eyes, for that was where it was for a few seconds, and he looked at the blue-eyed Kisa. "Kisa-san?" He asked, examining her eyes. She seemed... unbearably sad. It made Kohaku feel... guilty. "I... I'm okay. Really, I am." Kohaku said truthfully. He blinked, his eyebrows curving, signaling his sadness when he saw Kisa's blue eyes. "I didn't walk out because of you." He promised her, giving her a reassuring grin, even if he was gloomy. "It's just... I'm really jealous of what Ayame-chan and Daisuke-san have. Mabey it's because... I don't have it. Love... it makes me miss my parents... they died when I was thirteen... soo.." Kohaku explained nervously.

"I don't know..." Daisuke told Kurri. "Do you think... that she blames herself for Kohaku leaving the building? I think thats what she's doing... Kurri." His sapphire eyes glanced down at Kurri, and he added jokingly, "You don't understand because you're a kitten." Of course, it was obviously a joke.

Kohaku then turned to Kisa, and he shakily put his arms around her so that he was hugging her tightly. He felt a tear, or mabey it was rain water, roll down his face. "I'm so lonely, Kisa-san. I..." He sighed. His voice was very shakey, and it was bugging him a bit. "I'm sorry Kisa. I'm sorry I made you sad and feel guilty! It's not your fault!"

Kisa stared straight ahead and downwards, watching the rain hit against the ground. Her hands in her lap clasped each other more tightly as she heard Kohaku speak, despite her ears drooping as much as they were. Her head bowed a little more forward, as she replied in a small, timid voice. "I.. I'm jealous too," she said, her voice very nearly a whimper. "My parents and brother.. died when I was four, or six, or..." She trailed off, realizing it was fuzzy. She knew they'd died, and she sometimes saw flashes of it in her dreams, but she didn't remember how old she'd been. She didn't understand why her memories were so full of holes!

But she snapped out of her thoughts almost instantly when she felt Kohaku's arms around her. She froze, tensing up to the point where she was frozen solid, her eyes wide. She didn't move at all for a few seconds, and then very, very slowly allowed herself to begin to relax, and eventually her hands unclasped, her arms shifting until she was hugging him back, lightly. "Please.." she began, but trailed off again. She wasn't sure what to say. What should she say? It was taking all she had not to start crying. It felt really good. It felt so good to be hugged, to be held like this, even if they were both so... guilty, and sad, and.. lonely...

Kurri frowned, pawing irritatedly at Daisuke's hand. Though, his claws weren't out so it didn't do any damage, or even hurt at all. His head tilted back to stare up at the male, then looked back at the ground again. "She blames herself for a lot of things," he admitted. "And she keeps her troubles to herself. Sometimes she tells me, but I can't offer advice to her so it does no good."

Kohaku blinked, now sure that he felt tears and not rain fall down his cheeks. His eyes burned, and he wiped them quickly. He was shocked when Kisa returned his hug, and this made him feel... ecstatic. He just felt so wonderful to be held by someone... anyone. But... it's different being hugged by someone you don't know... and being hugged by someone who knows you. If it's a stranger, you don't know what to make of it. You wouldn't be able to tell whether it was a good or bad thing. When it was someone you knew, it felt comforting... and welcome... and warm.

"Please..?" He echoed, not quite sure what she was trying to say. He could almost feel that she was about to cry. He hugged her just a little tighter, but not so it was uncomfortable. "It's... okay to cry... when your happy or... sad." Kohaku muttered to Kisa. Hos once lively blue eyes were dulled and he looked almost... ill. He wasn't sick... just.. this was how Kohaku was when he wasn't happy. When he was far past the point of being merely 'depressed'.

Daisuke smiled, hearing faintly what was happening. He sat back down at the table, only laughing at Kurri pawing at his hand. "I can believe she blames herself... Women... seem to do that a lot. Ayame does it... and my sister did... my mom did..." Daisuke listed from the girls he knew. "Do you ever wish you could communicate with Kisa better? I bet we could find a way if we looked." Daisuke asked the kitten.

Kisa's face had, by now, flushed scarlet. Why was he hugging him back? She'd done it almost without thinking. Hugs were supposed to be comforting, right? And he seemed to need comforting.. But then, why did she feel so bad? She was being hugged too, right? She bit her lip, ears dropping against her head, yet she still easily heard what he said.

She hid her face against him, head nodding up and down twice. "K-kaaay...'" she whined quietly, dragging it out longer than she meant to. And she did start crying, unable to help herself. "I'm s-sorry.." She felt horrible. She was crying, in front of someone she hardly knew, and shamelessly clinging to him even! She hardly even cried in front of Kurri.

The cat nodded absently, also secretly listening in on what was going on outside. He felt kind of bad, but... hopefully after this they'd both feel better. His ears twitched as he caught Daisuke's last comment, and he gazed up at the male. "...really? I'd like that, I think."
