Slifer watched carefully as Anatsazi turned to face him. His muscles tenced in anticipation, and then nothing. He looked confused. He had been expecting it. The rush semi going he saw Anastazi quickly going to slash him. Slifer had been distracted. He immediatly jumped aside so that he coudl face Anastazi. As he jumped aside his sword went down again. Once he had regained his stance he brought it back up to the starting position of a fencer.
His ears twitched, trying to see with his ears as well as his eyes. He saw Anastazi miss and whilst he saw it he pondered, was he going to hit the floor, and if so, how hard. Slifer then pushed that thought out of his mind. He had been off guard last time. He was sure Anastazi had a few more tricks up his sleeve
((ok, if i pass i am going to lab, correct? Also... will there be a new topic, like aristocratic party or something?))

((Hehe...if you were going to cheat on your wife with anyone, I doubt it would be with Clet. Her appearance is all ragged, tall, and gangly. Not exactly what you'd call a pretty young thing.))
Clet watched the exchange in puzzled silence, holding Henry in her arms. Her mother and father had always told her they fought because they loved each other...she had never understood that, but it made her feel better when all the yelling was going on. Still, she wished they could do this somewhere else, without her standing right there.
"Okay!" Clet responded, glad to go somewhere where there'd be other animals around. She and her chickens (except Henry, who she was still holding) fell into step behind the old guy.

[OOC: Ah, yes, but it is a known fact that old men tend to go for young girls. And she was cradleing a chicken in her arm, which suggest lack of teaching or sanity. And Helen is the pyscho maid cliche I so love... ]
"Okay!"
Alexander could not help but smile at this. She seemed somewhat happy to be heading out of the city to Laburnum. Then again, if it were possible, he would have made the exact same choice. That was not in his power though. Were he to go he would be recognized which was something that could not be allowed, no, it could not.
His head would barely miss scraping with the top of the stable doors. They were tall yet so was the stallion he rode, adding onto Alexander's own height to create a near dangerous mixture. He would do nothing more then incline his head somewhat to excape that fate though. The inside of the stable smelled of animals, namely horse and cow. The animals in question were located in a stall against the far wall. Three horses remained which left six pens empty, the final one held a cow that seemed content to munch on hay.
Alexander would by instinct guide his horse toward it's stall, lowering himself from the saddle once they were inside. First he would unstrap the saddle to tell the horse it was free, then back out of the stall and shut the gate. Only then would he turn back to Clet to see what she was doining.
"Feel free to take your pick of them. Helen should be out shortly with some money for you."

Clet went straight to the cow, stroking its nose gently. "You look just like Milky...yes you do," she cooed at it, then turned and looked at the horses. She walked up and down their stalls, studying each one, until Henry suddenly flew out of her arms and onto the back of the middle horse.
"That one," Clet said, nodding to herself.

While Clet wandered around Alexander cast a glance towards the stable doors. He could not see Helen through them. Obviously she intended to waste time for the moment while bringing him the gold. Inside he was furious at this but chose to say nothing. No reason to complain infront of the girl who could be of use to him.
"That one,"
Upon hearing these words Alexander would turn to look at her choice. It seemed she had not been the one to choose if the chicken on his horses back was any sign. The animal chosen by the chicken was great though, one of his best. A chocolate brown mare with a white spot on her nose. The horse just swished it's tail lazily as Alexander approached and placed a guantlet covered hand on the stall door. He would not open it just yet though, instead he would glance towards Clet.
"It would probably be best if I asked your name. It was rude of me to have you follow me without even knowing that much. I am called Alexander Reculia."
Alexander's smile was genuine as he looked at her. He had still yet to get to the details of her performance. In truth he was far from sure. There was no way of knowing what day she would be needed, what time, or what place? What would he do? It was far too obvious, send her to Adrian to be sent where he wished.

Nicholai Maxwell *Ippi nodded. Of course, being as flighty as she was, the thought of a dark, handsome stranger passed through her head. She could envision it now. He would have the mysterious aura of a dark mage, with the handsome figure like the world had never seen.* Oh, that's nice. *She continued dreaming, absentmindedly listening to whatever he might say.* Theodore looked out the window, seeing the dreamy gaze in Ippi's eyes.
'Ah, she's into the dark types,' he thought.
Yes, it is.
The carriage flew over the landscape at a speed that horses would faint at. He peered over the blurred vistas as they sped past the varied small towns and bustling market towns toward their eventual destination.

((btw, yes, I did say "As if to," not that I actually swung at you. So my plan works just fine. This means the second half of your post didn't have a chance to happen.))
When Slifer jumped aside to avoid the alleged slash, Anastazi pulled his blow rather than following through. Instead, he turned with Slifer and kicked out while the boy was off balance from the jump, attempting to sweep his legs out from under him.

Slifer had seconds to react. His sword flipped into the air while he flipped back and onto his hands. Looking at the downcoming sword he waited until his tail could wrap around the handle of the sword. Standing on his hands sword pointed down in his tail he let out a large sigh.
Flipping back up he then smiled "My turn" with that he ran at Anastazi, his weight shifting everywhere, giving no plan to his attack. His sword raised he ran directly at Anastazi, he then, seconds before being in reach flipped up over the man. A giant height. Landing behind in lightning reflexes he wrapped his swordarm around Anastazi's neck.
The crook was in such a position if Anastazi moved Slifer or himself, then he would be cut on the neck, deeply. Slifer now waited for Anastazi to give up and relent the job to Slifer. Slifer was proud, that was one of his best moves.

Clet grinned back at him, as William and The Third fluttered up to sit behind Henry. "I'm Clethia Apollo!"
Strangely, she pronounced 'Apollo' as 'Apoyo', as though it were a Spanish word of some sort.
"And it's okay. I didn't introduce myself either. And neither did they," she said, gesturing at the fowl perched on the horse's back. "Well, then, go ahead," Clet instructed her roosters. "Introduce yourselves to Alexander."
As each one did so, she nodded, though they made no motions and no sounds other than those you'd ordinarily expect chickens to make when randomly walking about or resting. When they finished, she turned to Alexander. "He's Henry, the one behind him's William, and that's The Third. He won't answer to anything else."

"I'm Clethia Apollo!"
Alexander would return the girl's grin with a smile and a nod. His face would not turn from her as he whatched two more of the chickens move to join the one currently on the horse's back. The silver haired man would not catch the strange use of punctuation in Clethia's voice. He had never heard her name before, thus in his mind it became 'Clethia Apoyo'. An easily made mistake in truth.
"And it's okay. I didn't introduce myself either. And neither did they. Well then, go ahead, introduce yourselves to Alexander."
For a moment Alexander would continue to stare at her with his left eyebrow arched. Only for a moment though, then he would turn to look upon the chickens. They did not seem too keen upon introducing themselves. The one in the back clucked, that was basically all of the noise that they made. At least to Alexander's knowledge. Clethia seemed to think they said a good deal if her nods meant anything at all. In the depths of his mind, Alexander was not so sure that they did.
"He's Henry, the one behind him's William, and that's The Third. He won't answer to anything else."
At this Alexander would glance back to Clet, the look of confusion upon his face replaced by that small smile again. This girl was odd to say the least. She actually beleived she could speak with the fowl and they would respond? It was something the elderly man found quite hard to beleive. But if that was her frame of mind, he would go along with it. Turning Alexander would make a formal bow to the chickens as he had already introduced himself to Clethia. The smile on his face evolved into a silent laugh as he did so. It was terribly funny to the elderly man to humble himself before a gang of chickens. Still, the girl might have been offended otherwise.
"It is a pleasure to meet you all."
Even as Alexander straightened from the bow a small cough would come from behind them. Turning he glanced over his shoulder to find his dark brown eyes falling upon Helen again. The money pouch Alexander had requested was held close to her breast, both hands enclosed over it. The gold contained within the pouch equaled out to a good deal, at least the amount he normally paid the women per month. Her eyes were set in a confused glare, brows arched high with lids thin slits. She would not say anything as she moved forward quickly, almost flying across the floor. The pouch was quickly be deposited into Alexander's hand from her's. Yet Helen was not quite done yet, instead she took it upon herself to learn close and whisper to the man.
"M'lord, are you alright? Should I call the doctor?
For a moment Alexander would merely stare at her in confusion. Then he would reach up and using thumb and forefinger rub his temples. Oh what an annoyance the women was. Had she not been such a good house keeper Alexander would likely have fired her long ago. But that would require hiring a new one who might not have kept her mouth shut. At least not to the amount of silence that Alexander would have liked.
"That will be all Helen, please go back to your duties."
Once more the women would puff up like, for lack of better example, a chicken ready to get into a fight. She would just turn and storm off though, almost running across the stable floor on her way to the door. Alexander would not even whatch her go. Instead he would merely turn and hold out the bag of gold for Clethia to take.
"Upon reaching Laburnum use this to get a room at the inn. I also ask that you ask around for a man named Adrian. He should be able to give you directions to a perfect place for you to preform."
