Shinji jumped a bit in surprise when Takai put his arms around his waist, "T-Takai?" he tried to look at his friend. "I was only going to get a quick drink..." Shinji replied to Takai's request of staying, "but i'll stay if you want me to..."

Takai bit his lip and didn't move. He wasn't going to let Shinji go. He was afraid, and being afrain was childish, sure. But he didn't care, he was scared, and he wasn't going to let go, childish or not.

Shinji scooted back onto the bed more "are you ok Takai?" Shinji asked his friend," i'll stay right here..."

"I'm scared..." he said in a soft whisper. He loosened his grip on the other boy's waist, but still didn't let go. He bit his lip and squeezed his eyes closed. Even adults had fears...

Shinji turned to his friend,"why're you scared?" Shinji asked softly, he petted Takai's head, something he's wanted to do for some time now, to feel how soft Takai's long hair was compaired to his short length.

"Being in room's alone..." He said lightly, burying his head into Shinji's stomach. He felt childish. His grip tightened around Shinji's waist again, but he relaxed as he felt Shinji's hand on his head.

"Thanks you..." He whimpered, willing his body not to shake.
He started to shake. Whe was being childish. And Selfish. "I'm sorry...." he whimpered, tears streaming from his eyes. He was just so... scared... He never felt that scared in his life.

"don't worry about it Takai" Shinji still watched his friend who then started to shake and cry," what are you sorry for? are you ok?" Shinji hugged his friend," don't worry Takai, it'll be all right."

Takai shuddered. He wasn't okay. He despresately wanted to be okay. He didn't know why he was crying... everything was okay.

"how're you being selfish? I don't mind staying in here with you," Shinji smiled, he reached behind him and pulled a tissue from the tissue box and handed it to Takai," here ya go."

Takai refusaed to move his arms from around Shinji's waist, even though Shinji said he would stay with him. He clinged to the slightly younger boy like he was the only thing keeping him alive.

Shinji wiped Takai's eye's gently, drying his tears with the tissue in his hand, he put it back onto the table and smiled and put his hand on Takai's head again, he laughed a little bit, but didn't say anything.

Takai sniffled. He was about to apologize again, but he couldn't find his voice. He coughed into Shinji's shirt, but quckly apologized soon after. Tears started to lessen to only an occasional tear or sob.

Shinji hugged Takai tightly," it's ok Takai. I just want you to feel better" he smiled and petted Takai's head while he hugged him.
