Birch helped the poor boy up, nodding, "Sure thing!" he offered, "Just give me a second, and you'll be all set to get started," he explained with a grin. The portly professor vanished behind several stacks of field research reports for a few minutes, before returning, Pokeball in hand. "Here is the Mudkip," he explained, releasing the water type so the two could get aquainted. "I'm sure you'll be a great team with him on your side," Birch laughed, as the Mudkip looked up to Dylan, letting out a yawn as he stretched, glad to be out of his Pokeball for a bit. Dylan picked up the mudkip and squeezed him squealed "Muddy it's you and me!"The team raced out toward home.

Billy was running as he collided with the doors to Birches lab, he was eager. This wasn't always a good thing, he tended to get foolish and clumsy when this happened. Falling through Birches lab doors he lay face down for a few seconds, he heard one of the scientists make a comment about getting a sign for the step. He hopped up back onto his feet and began to dust himself rather frantically, beginning to announce to the lab hoping where ever birch is or was he'd hear. "Could I HAVE a MUDkip please?" Where he was abit nervous and unsure of his self-confidence his voice lowered and raised like you'd expect a boys going through puberty to.

Professor Birch winced as he saw the boy tumble through the doors. He really should look into getting automatic doors one of these days. The professor nodded, approaching Billy with a smile, "Of course. Mudkip it is. I'm sure you'll make a good partner for this little one," he offered, handing the boy a Pokeball. Along with it, he handed over several Potions and Pokeballs, along with a Pokedex to record his data. "I look forward to see how far you will go," Birch grinned, "I'm always eager to get new research, of course, but I have to admit, there is a certain thrill I get at seeing trainers who passed through these doors of mine head out on their adventure." Cell walked calmly to the lab. She's here to get her first Pokemon, like probably everyone that are not scientist here. She entered the lab and looked at everything in it. "Excuse me, but may I please have a Treecko?" She asked to anyone who may listen.

"Well now, that's a request we haven't seen in a while. Not too many people have chosen Treeko lately," Birch nodded, handing over a Pokeball to the girl who had entered the lab. "Here are also some Pokeballs and a Pokedex to get you started," he explained, handing those items over as well. The professor also handed over several healing Potions to the girl. "I look forward to seeing the data from your Pokedex. I haven't had much time for fieldwork on my own, so the info you trainers send is important," he smiled. Isamu arrived at Professor Birch's Lab and walked inside. "Professor?" he called as he walked in. "I've come to receive my first pokemon!" he said, looking around. He had heard about the three starters of this region and already knew which one he wanted.

"But of course," the professor nodded, rising as he joined Isamu, "Have you considered what Pokemon you would like?" Birch asked.

Isamu nodded. "I would like a Treecko. Gender doesn't matter." He said polity. He had observed each of the starters for a long time, and decided this would be the best one to get.

"Of course. I'll go get your partner, then," Birch grinned, before sifting through the piles of fieldwork on his desk until he located the key to the compound out in the back of the lab. He vanished through a door for a couple of minutes, before returning with a Pokeball in one hand, and a Pokedex in the other. He handed the items over, before adding a few Potions and empty Pokeballs, as was custom to help new trainers start out. "Alrighty, here is your new Treeko," Birch explained, pointing to the first Pokeball he had handed over. "I'm sure the two of you will be great partners. And I look forward to the data from your Pokedex. I haven't had much time for actual field work lately. Isamu has received: or Treeko Lv 5 HP-40 Gender- Female Attacks Pound-20 Growl-10 Exp (0/15)

Isamu smiled and took the pokeball with his partner in it, along witht he other pokeballs, the potions, and the pokedex. "Thanks Professor. I'll be sure to update you on my progress every once in a while." he said, smiling. he put the Pokeballs on his belt and the Potions in his bag. As for the pokedex, he put that in his pocket for quick grabbing. Thanks Again Professor." He said before turning and leaving.
(how many pokeballs and potions so i can update my inventory?

"I never realized how much of a pain walking everywhere was before." Felicia whined lightly to herself as she headed up towards Professor Birch's lab. It had been a very long time since she had been here and since her parents thought it best for her to not travel without a poke'mon they had driven her to Slateport Beach where she caught the Ferry and walked from Petalburg City to Littleroot Town. It had been a long walk and she was getting pretty tired.
As the Lab came into sight she smiled and took off at a run, "Finally!" Holding her hat so it wouldn't fly off into the wind she stopped just before the door and fixed herself up a little, pulling some of the twigs and leaves that had collected on her jacket along the way. After a deep cleansing breath she headed into the lab. "Professor?" she called out, looking around on her way in at all the books and plants and research piled everywhere. "It's Felicia, I'm here for my first poke'mon..."

Professor Birch spotted the girl as she walked in the door, seeming just a bit out of breath. He smiled, "Welcome to my lab, Felicia, its very nice to meet you. Seems you're here to start out on your Pokemon journey, eh? Well, We can certainly help you out with that."
He rose from his desk to join Felicia, "Have you considered what type of Pokemon you would be interested in starting out with?" he inquired.

"Definitely a Mudkip Professor. " she told him with a smile as she headed towards the poke'mon on the table. "I thought about it for a while and even though a Treecko seems like a great poke'mon I'd rather have a Mudkip as my starter. They can be really reliable from what I've heard."

"Its true, you'd have a hard time finding a more loyal partner," Birch smiled, "Well, if that's your choice, then here you are," he offered, handing over a Pokeball containing the requested Pokemon. With the Mudkip, he also handed Felicia several empty Pokeballs, as well as some basic healing potions to help get her started out. "And here's your Pokedex, probably the most invaluable tool for trainers just starting out, except for your Pokemon, of course," he laughed, also handing over the device. "I wish you luck on your journey," he offered with a wide smile, "I look forward to seeing how far you rise in the leagues!"
