Firefly stirred from her deep sleep. Her ears twitching this way and that as her tail flicked across the grass she lay upon. She could still feel the warmth of Sib's body against her's which made her not want to move. It was a comfortable position she was in and she didn't want it to end. But eventually she would have to wake up.
Her eyes fluttered open slowly and she gave a small yawn while stretching the muscles in her body. Nosing his chest, she smiled more and closed her eyes as the dusky sunlight was a surprise to her eyes.

Sibalto stirred as she nosed him, and smiled even in his drowsy state. He yawned and stretched his neck out and shook himself, blinking sleepy silver eyes... Glancing at his mate, he rumbled in a pleased manner and nibbled at her delicate ears.
They really should move on... They still had to go see Atsila and try to talk to her... But the grass was soft and the silken body beside him made him more than content to snuggle close and nap the rest of the day away. Somehow that really didn't seem like it was possible...
Sibalto sighed and nibbled along Firefly's graceful neck, rumbling lovingly. "Wake up Heart of my Heart... We should be moving on..."

She yawned again, a bit softed this time as she blinked the sleepyness out of her eyes. Her ears twitched as he nibbled on them as they always did. "Mmm...I'm awake, I'm awake." Firefly's voice was still a bit drowsy sounding but she knew that they had to get up and get moving. Though she really didn't want to move, she soon lifted her body off the ground and started stretching out each leg one at a time, giving a small groaning noise as she did so.

Sibalto rolled over onto his side to consider the mare who had become his life.. He watched her rise and stretch with a lazy smile, marvelling silently at her beauty. Did she know how lovely she was? Probably not... He smiled and gave a content sigh, rolling over onto his back and scratching it against the soft grass. That done, he rolled over, tucked his legs under him, and stood.
Splaying his legs like an unsteady foal he shook himself, freeing his coat of leaves and grass he had collected in his rolling. Stretching himself out, he arched his neck and swished his tail, smiling at his mate.
"Ready to head out my love?" He asked in his still-sleepy murmur.
The basket of snacks in the corner of the clearing recaptured his attention, and he motioned his head toward it with a wide smile. "How about a snack?"

After having stretched a considerable amount, she took to pulling out twigs and leaves that had made homes in her long mane. Her tail could easily flick those out. Firefly preened a bit before taking a few steps to the side to avoid getting anything Sib was flinging around with his entire body shake.
Once that was done and his voice broke through the silence, she eyed the basket of treats nearby and gave a slight nod. "Yes. We should probably eat something before we head out."

Sibalto smiled and nosed her forward, indicating silently she should eat first. Glancing around the clearing, he listened to the sound of birds and the distant river. He gently nipped at her haunches, smiling playfully as his eyes danced.
"Good, go ahead and eat..."

She skittered forwad as he nipped at her haunches. Giving him a slight tap on the nose with her tail in return. Eyeing the basket, she found a few apples and other assorted goodies. Picking out a few, she ate them slowly. Savoring their flavor. She was indeed hungry it seemed, but she made sure to leave enough for her mate when she was done.

Sibalto sneezed when she flicked him with her tail, and shook his head, chuckling. Pacing around the clearing, he cropped a mouthful or two of grass, but mostly just looked around, waiting for her to finish eating. Trotting up to her and nibbling playfully at her mane, he snatched an apple and crunched it happily.
As they ate he considered what her two-legger would think of him... And swalloped slightly nervous... What if she didn't? Clearing his throat he shrugged off the nerves and stepped forward to snack, knowint they'd be heading out soon.
Glancing at the mare, he nosed her cheek. He would so love to have a family with her... "Love you...."

Firefly finished off what she was eating. They had better get moving soon or it would be a bit dark to be wandering around like this. And who knew what could be lurking out there this night?
With a flick of her ear, she blushed at Sib for a moment. "Love you, too. Shall we go then? It's getting darker pretty quick." Her eyes looked up at the sky which was constantly changing into darker colors as night chased the sun away. Though she was a bit worried that Atsila might be asleep by the time they got there.

Sibalto finished up and nodded, nipping at her neck.
"Perhaps quickly?" He offered, considering her... It wouldn't do them much good to be traveling at night if they could avoid it... He had seen some of the creatures in the woods... Not too friendly... And the vines...
He shook his head.. Well, he'd had trouble stumbling into things on strange paths in broad daylight... Better not to try in the dark..

With a slight nod, she gave a small smirk as she eyed him with those dark eyes. A slight glint of mischeif could be seen. "Quickly would probably be a good thing."
Flicking her tail against his side, Firefly took off as a quick sprint. "See if you can keep up!" She called back over her shoulder as she raced towards her home.

Sibalto nodded, only half understanding what she was planning until she leapt into a run. Wait! A race? The stallion chuckled, reared, and tore after her. This was his life and love, this spirted lady.
"I'll do more than that!" He whinnied in challange, thundering after her.

"Really know? We'll just have to see then!" Letting out a whinny of laughter, her hooves pounded deep into the earth as she zipped along the trail to home. Tail held high like a long, streaming banner behind her. Feathers dancing as she raced. The thrill of the chase causing her heart to beat faster and faster till it was nearly pounding in her ears.
Leaping over fallen trees and dashing through underbrush, her eyes kept a steady gaze ahead. Until she veered off to the left and into the darkness of the trees. The shadows would give her a nice advantage of stealth if she played her cards right.

Sibalto gained on her enough to keep his head even with her haunches, and took the opportunity to n** at the gleaming black of her hindquarters as her silvery tail lashed against his side. He whinnied happily at the race and doubled his efforts, letting her vere off into the shadows in favor of keeping to the open path. Keeping his eye on her as he went, he smiled to himself as he pulled even with her.
"Run faster my lady, but you will never escape me... I'll follow you till the end of my days..." He rumbled into the wind.

Dark eyes watched him as she raced through the shadows. Home was close. The scent of a smoldering fire filled her nose as she jumped back onto the path, nearly colliding with him but she took a few leaps forward to keep from doing so.
"Even when you're old and can't run like this anymore?" She called back with a small giggle. Her eyes fixed onto the trail once more until the trees started to wane. They were almost there.
