Jen:

Yeah, I guess all kids can have their "crazy" moments, he-he.

I see... Well thanx! It's too bad we can't actually hear you singing it. rolleyes

Exactly! It's quite ironic, isn't it? Only people who are unfit to be parents should be barren or something. Oh well... (nice touch with the sarcasm thingy btw) mrgreen

I should have guessed so. Say, is yer dad strict with yer girls too or does he spoil them like all grandparents do?
Gee, that's nice. At least you learned something from the old man, right?

Cool! Enjoy being younger while you can my friend. wink

Nina:

So firefox, eh? I like to use that one a lot more than internet explorer but some stuff don't work on firefox, so... I also ignore some of them. Right now for example, I see wiggly red lines on the words "firefox, thingy, thanx & yers", he-he.

Yes, yer right. It seems that the computer companies have realized that ordinary people can't buy their stuff all the time. Some people can only buy once every 5 years and, what happens to the stuff that gets released in between? And yeah, some games are quite complex (not just to play but to install). That's why some people prefer the gaming consoles, you just put the game in and play it.

Nana:
Even if you have more than one child if you're only out with one it's a lot easir to be calm. xd

Yeah. Mom's doing alright I guess. I'll have to drag her in here to say hi. 3nodding 4laugh

I need to get a browser that spell checks for me!
If I feel the need/desire to have my post spell checked I open up word, except on my computer it's not word, it's the same kind of thing though.

Ferdinand:
El is so much more energy than I bargained for. sweatdrop
Kay is relativly calm and easy going. El has to be into everything... all the time!

No, it's a good thing you can't hear me. *giggles*

It's such a hard thing for people to go through... to want children and not be able to have them.

My dad's probably the only one who doesn't spoil them.
Children/Grandchildren seem to be something that my dad only want around when it's convenient. Like when he's got his camera, my girls make great subjects, when we're playing D&D my dad likes having me over. If we get in the way of something he wants to do... rolleyes

I'll always be younger than you. wink

I'm glad yer mom is ok Jen, but don't drag her all the way here on our accounts if she doesn't feel like it, he-he.

So you don't use firefox? Which one do you use then?

Wow! Isn't it funny that out of the same parents, kids end up being so different? That's humanity for ya, I guess... rolleyes

Really? I kinda doubt that. I suppose I should ask SK about it. And you know, as long as you don't sound like Bjork or Macy Gray, well yer ok in my book...

Indeed!

Well I thought as much but, sometimes you hear of strict people with their kids and they turn out to be such softies when it comes to their grandkids. I should have known it doesn't always apply...

We'll see about that my friend, as I plan to freeze myself like Fry on that Futurama show. Then we'll see who's younger, ha-ha-ha! rofl

PS: I chose the post style "honey" and it's not showing up. I wonder why...
PostPosted: Thu Nov 22, 2007 4:55 pm

We were wondering about the style "honey" as well here at the house, and we thought it might have to do with the guild for the Bee movie.

The computer thing was very ridiculous for many years. So I just swore off computer games, and tada, I didn't have to try and keep up. ^__^

Haha, Jen, that's very true. It is probably easier to stay calm when hanging out with one kid. blaugh

You should try this new version of Firefox. It's pretty nifty, but unlike word, I haven't found a way to add new words to the dictionary.

If you think it's a difficult thing to want children and being unable to have them-- think how hard it is to be a child wanting a family and to not have it. People who can't have children easily (raises hand) should consider adoption.

So, if Ferdinand is older than Jen, and Jen's older than me... xd

Right! The bee movie guild. It may only work there so... I wonder why I didn't think of it before. rolleyes

Good for you Nina! Console games can be so more practical.

Oh yeah, there's always adoption. Good thinking!

and yeah, it almost feels like a small family up in here, he-he. mrgreen

Thanx Nina, I'm gonna think of you as the sister I never had. I think the fact that both our avatars have dragon skins, helps. Don't you think? wink

As for anime, yes I do watch some. The ones I've been seeing more frequently are as follow:

Full Metal Alchemist (I was first drawn to it by the alchemist thing cuz, in FFTA, a race called the Nu Mou can have that job)
Hellsing
Excel Saga
Vandred 2nd stage
Burst Angel

I also used to watch these (I can't anymore cuz none of the cable companies around here carry them):

Rurouni Kenshin
Inuyasha
Cinderella Boy
Sakura Card Captors
Ranma 1/2
Trigun
Samurai Champloo

I can't think of any others right now...

Probably will be like that until after the holidays.

Yeah, we all just have our own personalities. I'm not like any of my siblings.

Yeah, I like my guildies. wink heart

Nana:
Yes, I know this from experience. Much eaiser with just one kiddo. 3nodding

I don't know from personal experience about it being difficult to have children. Six months after we were married Kay was concieved. And El... well the first time that we weren't preventing it. sweatdrop I have friends that have wanted children badly though.
Yeah, that would be a terrible thing. So are you thinking about adopint in the future then? If I may ask why are you not able to have children easily?

Yup, you're the baby in here. How does that feel. "Too old for Gaia," but young here. wink

*huggles*
Aww, I'm glad that you guys like to come visit here. <3

ANIME:
I watch anime. 3nodding

• Record of Lodoss War was the first animé that I ever watched.
It's still one of my favorites.

• Fruits Basket is another of my favorites.

• I want to see/get the rest of Haibane Renmei

Watched quite a few animé with Hubby. Some of which are:
• 12 Kingdoms (seen only the first DVD)
• Crest of the Stars, Banner of the Stars, Banner of the Stars II
• Esclaflone (borrowed a while back from a friend)
• Kare Kano—aka His and Her Circumstances
(I don't think Hubby watched these with me when I borrowed them from a friend)
• Nadesico
• Ruin Explorers
• Tenchi Universe
• Trigun
• Slayers, Slayers Next, Slayers Try
• A little Snow Fairy Sugar (watch with Kay, not Hubby)

• Caslte in the Sky
• Howl's Moving Castle
• Princess Mononoke
• Spirited Away

Anyway, there's a start. whee

Yes, Ferdinand, I definitely think the skins help. n_n Do you have other siblings?

~huggles Jen~ Ah the holidays! xd

I'm not planning on having children actually, I don't have the want. But I do love children. Just, I was old enough to help with my niece and nephew when they were younger, and well... I call them natural birth control. I love them to death, and I'd do anything in the world for them, but I like when they go home at the end of the day. blaugh

As for my problem I don't mind discussing it. I have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. Basically, there are cysts on my ovaries that mess with my hormones. So I used to have periods that would last for a month at time... horrible heavy messes. gonk And though I didn't have cramps often, when I got them they were so horrible I would pray for them to go away because no medicine would help.

So I went in to talk to a doctor a few years ago, and he explained the syndrome. Apparently, it's pretty common. But it means that my cycle is out of whack. To stay regular, I have to stay on birth control until I no longer have to worry about it.

If I wanted kids, I would have to take fertility drugs, and I feel that if god had wanted me to have kids, he would've made it possible. Perhaps silly, but I don't know. I connect so well with other kids who need me for different reasons.

Sorry if that was a little long. ^^;

I'm the baby here. whee

Wow... so much anime between the three of us.

I like the second part to Lodoss War-- The Hero Chronicle I think it's called.

I also love Fruits Basket, Tenchi is fun, Full Metal Alchemist. My favorites are Robotech and Noir. User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Spirited away is cute, and if you liked that, I'd suggest checking out Nausicaa.

Jen:

Nice to see you pop in!

Yeah, I guess yer right. It must be especially hard for you cuz of the kids and the other stuff you need to take care of at home. Nice to see you have internet explorer but firefox is much cooler.

Do tell, how come I haven't seen you around at SK's guild lately? You know the one I mean right, the versus guild. Is he still thinking about selling it?

Nice taste you got there too. I have seen an episode or so of the twelve kingdoms but I haven't been able to see it again. Right now I've started watching Martian Successor Nadesico and it's quite good. I can't believe how they can watch some anime that resembles Mazinger Z. I haven't seen that one in ages!

Nina:

He-he, you think so too, eh? funny... Btw, don't you think that these dragon skins make the avatars look like they're wearing glasses of some sort? I don't know why but I believe the skins look so much better on female avatars.
Siblings? I do actually! None from my mom's side but, from my dad's side I have at least 2. I have no idea how many I actually have and I never felt the need to ask. rolleyes

Gee Nina, that's tough... Don't worry about the long post. I don't mind when it comes from people I like.

And yeah, it does seem like a lot, huh? Say, have you seen all the episodes of FMA? Cuz I think I haven't seen them all. The last one I saw seemed like it was not the conclusion of the story. rolleyes

I do want to ask you both, do you believe in the equivalence principle mentioned in FMA? The fact that you cannot gain anything if you do not lose something that equals in value? I think that in the real world, that principle does not always apply. It's like they say at some point near the end like: How about all the people that work hard and don't see much reward for their efforts? meanwhile, some are just born into wealth and don't really appreciate it or the ones around them.
As for Noir, I've seen it mentioned before but I haven't been able to see it.

Nana:
Yeah... the holidays.
Fun to dress up for. whee

I'm the oldest of 5 children. 12 years older than the baby of the family. I had to change diapers and all that fun stuff. On top of that I've never been a "kid person" if you know what I mean. It's different with my girls though.

Cysts are no fun! I have family that has been on BC for cysts. Even w/o cysts I have heavy messy periods. Though they don't last a month long thank goodness!

I understand. It's actually because of my religious feelings that I have my girls. As I mentioned above I've never really been a kid person. But for whatever reasons I was meant to have a family. So here I am staying at hom with my girls.
That's really neat though hat you want to adopt!

PSH! Have you looked at my replies. Long is not an issue here. wink

Chronicels of the Heroic knight, yes. Pa Pa Parn!

I havnen't seen Full Metal Alchemist, nor Robotech nor Noir.
Hubby likes the Miyazaki (sp?) films. I watch them with him.

Hypno:
Sorry, I'm to lazy to type out your whole name every time I reply.

Yeah, that happens some times. wink
I sometimes wish that things weren't so busy here, but when they're not busy I wish they were so... *shrugs*

'Cause I'm not really interested in debate. I never see him around the Parent's Lounge. Mostly he VCed me 'case they reccomend that you have VC you trust that can turn the guild back over to you if something happens to your account.

I've never heard of Mazinger Z.

I havnen't seen FMA. However, I do think that to fully appreciate something you have to experience something of it's opposition. If all you ever at was cake how would you know that it's sweet?
While the bad experience in life are not enjoyable they can help us grow and learn. Also they give us the opportunity to appreciate the good.

Oy! I want art of one of my D&D characters, but the problem is that I'm not sure what she lookes like. gonk Part of that is probably that she's often disguised so she' doesn't really have one look, but... rolleyes I'm so used to seeing my characters rather clearly this is driving me crazy!
...maybe that's part of why I want art of her. *sigh*

Hey Jen!

Nice art!
That Ari looks real sexy! wink

So Ari & Thistle are the same character? Hmm...

Wow Jen, so yer one of 5 kids? Imagine that! Say, is yer dad the same one as all of yer siblings or not? Cuz I'm an only child but only from my mom's side, from my dad I'm supposed to have at least 2 other siblings. rolleyes

Don't worry about the laziness, heck! I shorten yer user name too, don't I? he-he

Ha! I never expected you to say something like that, he-he. I do get what you mean though, we can't always be busy or relaxed, it would be boring!

I see... Well, I gues it's up to me and my pal chipp to keep the place busy and active, even if it's only the two of us. mrgreen

Aww, that's too bad. Maybe yer too young to have seen that show. I remember that there was a character that had a robot with the shape of a woman. She even had an attack that could launch her breasts at the enemy as missiles. Oops, is that something I should not have said? sweatdrop

Yes, that's totally right! If we were only able to experience sunny days, how will we know them as? Or if we ate nothing but chocolate, well, you can see I got what you meant... mrgreen

You know Jen, that cat of yers is quite funny, not only did it mention that 9 out of ten people like chocolate (the tenth one was lying), but he also said this:

Brownie
Bananananana... I never know where to stop.

Thanks to me, yer cat now has 6075 hugs. 3nodding

Oh, Jen! Such cute art and avi edits! And I really love your avy's outfit, you make the "young Mrs. Clause" outfit very classy!

Oldest of 5 children? eek I know you've mentioned it before, but I can't help it. I'm the youngest of four, my oldest sister being 17 years older than me-- same parents. I know for sure my father has three other children from a previous marriage, but I don't know them. ^^;

Miyazaki is wonderful too. I like his movies, but I'm only a great fan of Spirited Away and Nausicaa, Valley of the Winds. The second one makes me get all teary.

You're right, Ferdinand, they DO look like glasses! xd That's great. I'm even more of a fan of this skin now.

Somehow, I have managed to watch right up until the end of FMA, and not seen the ending. I kind of watch haphazardly, so when I catch a random episode, I'm always asking, "Who's that? What's going on?" I used to dislike people who did that, but now I see how easy it is. whee

As for the basic principle... there are two ways to look at it, I think. One way is that it is basically a twisting of Newton's third(?) law. "For every action there is an opposite and equal reaction." In this sense, it is true. You can't walk without pressing down on the ground with enough force to push you forward and having the ground push back up so that you don't sink into it with all the force you use. In that way, you expend energy in order to get motion.

The other way is the larger picture that Jen mentioned. Like Yin and Yang, you can't have good without bad. In real world, I don't think you can apply it to an individual necessarily in the way they do. Like, I've found the love of my life, does that mean I now am going to lose my father or someone else equally important? I sure hope not! blaugh

But just as a funny, when I was younger (and probably up until recently) I did believe in this idea to an extent. It went like this, if I found an eraser on the playground that seemed really cool (like a shapped one, I was never bought those because they were expensive), then I would be sure to lose my favorite pen. See how it works? I find a pen, I lose fifty cents. I find a dollar, I lose something else that meant a lot to me.

You better believe if I found anything when I was little, I would turn it in right away! rofl
