Keir clasped hold of Yani's hands, fingers curling around his. She followed with Hawk, around about. But what made her blink twice, was this wink aimed at her by Hawk. Literally left with a bit of 'wtf x_o' in her face. Holding tight on Yanis hand; she drew him toward the bonfire.
What on earth was this? Her tummy gurgled.

Yani followed, his own curiousity getting the better of him. He could tell they were outside from the smell of the grass and he could also tell there was a fire somewhere from the burnt scent of wood and the smoke.
"Where are we?" he asked Keir as she pulled them closer to the fire and he could feel the heat on his fur.

"I have no idea." She murmered, glancing over to the fire warily. She wasen't particuarly fond of fire, to be honest, it terrified her. The pitchforks alight from that incounter, it made her shudder. But she wasen't going to drop down or anything, at least she had the piece of mind it wasen't going to chase after her.
"Don't even ask why Silver organized this place." She sighed, "its just a giant fire. Ughh.. Great."

"I dunno...you know how Silver is. There's got to be something more that we just haven't noticed," said Yani, trying to sound reassuring. Really though, in his own mind, he was thinking the same thing thing and was starting to get disappointed. He had been looking forward to this thing since the driver told them of it.

All of a sudden, a strand of music came from the darkness, and a set of people, all diffrent, danced into the firelight, dancing around the fire, chanting a little, dressed in ceremonial native american garb. One stood forward, bowing to the people gathering around the fire. "I am Shaman Running River, and me and my people are her tonight to tell the stories of the world when it was still new. We ask that you please lend an ear to the song of the earth, the wind, and the voice of the fire." He joined in the ring of people dancing, leading them.

"Whatever." She seemed highly unimpressed, but supposed Yani would like this sort of thing, she played along for him, and dragged him aside the fire, with all the 'rapid' dancers. "Shaman Running River. Peh. Don't suppose we'll get some tribe names for tonight." She muttered.

Yani's ears pricked at the man's voice, his expression growing somber as he spoke. Stories...he knew many stories from Sani. All the stories were ones of great importance to someone of his background, but he wondered what Keir was thinking about it. It was difficult for "outsiders" to understand if they weren't in the right frame of mind.
"I don't think they will do that. This sort of thing usually is too serious for that sort of stuff," he replied. "We might as well take a seat."

The music came to a high point, and stopped, with just a low drumming, as the Shaman started to tell a story, about how when the world was young, and everything lived in harmony, Raven was white as snow, and had the sweetest voice of all the birds, though he was still as tricky as ever. As he told the story, a man in a white feather headdress, with long white feathers tied to his arms came out, shifting from one foot to the next, mimicing raven's actions as he tricked various people. Then came how the sun got angry that coyote and wolf sung to the moon, but no one sang to him, and went to his house in the sky, refusing to come out, and the land turnd cold and bitter, and all the animals held council. A group of the dancer's, each made up like a different animal, one a bear, one a wolf, one raven, one mountain lion, and one bison, all danced in a circle, chanting out the story as it went. In the end, raven volunteered to go and bring back sun. Cause raven had a plan to trick the sun. He took the larges mirror he could find, and hung it outside the door of sun's house, and then sat above the door, talking loudly, as if to someone, of how they had found a new sun, and they where considering just keeping him, and letting the old one go, and then took of, flying back to the land. Well, when sun opened the door, and saw his reflection in the mirror, he thought it was the new sun, and he raced back towards earth, dead set on reclaiming his place. Well, raven made it back just before him, but he got a little to close, and all his feather's where charred black, and soot got in his throught, making his voice rough and grating. The Shaman ended the story there, with "And that children, is why the raven is black and caws, and why we give him praise, for tricking the sun back to the land to warm it again."

Keir never really took much attension, she decided just to sit and ponder beside Yani. Occasionally squeezing his hand too tight. Spacing out she slowly regained attension on the Shaman, but was far too lazy to catch up on his story.
She knew however Yani liked this stuff, maybe she'd make the effort!

Yani listened carefully, following the story along with his own mental imagery from back when he was younger and Sani was telling him the story. The man's voice was oddly comforting, but at the mention of Coyote, the fa'e visibly tensed and his eyes flickered darkly. He hadn't heard that name spoken aloud in a long time.
He felt chilled through the rest of the storytelling and when it was over, he shuddered a little.

Keir glared into the depths of the bonfire, recalling the night. It'd been long; and tiresome! However, it had all been worth something, even if she looked like a mess now, hair a mess, clothes creased. Who cared? The cat Fa'e certainly didn't.
Yawning a little, she turned to Yani, then back to the Shaman after his story. "Y'like this stuff hrm?"

"Yeah, I do. I know it's not really your thing," he said sheepishly as he idly brushed his free hand through the grass, looking pensive. "You probably think it's cheesy or just don't understand it. Frankly I don't understand it all that well myself. I still have a lot to learn."

"Storytelling isn't my thing," she grinned, "espicially after that encounter with Lethe." She chuckled to herself. "But I guess its cool, some things are neat er- like the bonfire! Nice and warm, espicially at night." She slumped back into her chair a little.

He laughed too at the comment about Lethe as well as the bonfire remark. "Lethe....is something else. I've never met a fa'e so young who is that smart. How long have you known her anyway? She seemed to know a lot about you."
It had been a long time since he'd been able to enjoy a bonfire and he wasn't about to blow the opportunity off. As long as Keir was okay with just hanging out there for now, he was fine. The crackling of burning wood was oddly soothing with it's familiarity.

Keir too was stimulated by the crackling noises the bonfire produced, it almost made her slump further; and want to fall asleep. Instead, she straightened up and answered Yanis question.
"Oh. Easter." She nodded, "mm. Shes a bit of a handful. Knows too much. Talks too much. But hopefully I can corrupt her before its too late," she snickered a bit, eyes gazing toward the bonfire.
