To a librarian: "Do you have any books on chaos magic?"
"I'm not sure... Do you know of a title you're looking for?"
"No, just general stuff. I'm setting up a [supposedly very high-level which speaker probably pronounced wrong] ritual for my coven."
"Religion and paranormal are on the third floor."
"Yeah, I know. I need to see the ones you don't shelve."
"We only keep periodical archives off the shelves, sir."
-looks peeved- "I mean the ones in your vault. I need to read them. And if I have to bring this library down to get them, I will."
"I'm sorry, but we don't have any vault with materials in it."
-doesn't look like he's buying it and walks off, complaining loudly-

A little bit, yeah. Might have been entertaining if the guy had actually gotten to read the imaginary vault. I'd buy popcorn and cheer as demons ate him for disturbing them.

The library at my University has a Rare Books room. According to a friend of mine who used to attend this same Uni, the rumor among some of the campus Christian groups was that the Rare Book room kept secret occult manuscripts - unless there's a secret vault, this fact is easily falsified by just, uhm...showing your student ID and signing in to the Rare Book Room.

Mind taking a look for a couple of books for me? It might seem frivolous, but I'd like to know if there was some place that had them...antique grimoires are so hard to find now a days...

Sovereign of Darkness Mind taking a look for a couple of books for me? It might seem frivolous, but I'd like to know if there was some place that had them...antique grimoires are so hard to find now a days... I'll take a peek to see what's even in there. Back on topic, bud sadly more Abrahamic than Pagan: "The Divine Revelation in my sacred book proves that the Divine Revelation in your sacred book was fake!"

TeaDidikai Nuri I do wish we had a library like the one in Sunnydale, don't you? Where? Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The high school had the best library, with all the occultic books in the back.
