With Batsu's chakra still locked on on the female, Batsu saw small fireballs coming his way out of his side vision. With next to no effort he dodged then all. As he continued to distort the girl's mind, he side glanced the guy who shot the jutsu at him. "It no longer matters who I fight. You all came aboard the ship and you all must pay the price." Batsu had a sadistic smile come across his face as he continued the jutsu. He then opened his mouth and spoke again. "Don't worry pretty boy. You're next."

Kai gave a slightly slanted grin as the dynamic entry hit him full on, the powerful combo from the other boy knocking him about like rag doll as he fought to stay on his feet, the powerful hit's like he was taking on more of a monster than a man. But Kai gave that grin. "Heh, you guys are really tough...truth be told, I don't really want to fight you. But...cap'n's orders and all." the fire in his hands once more became a pair of flaming sphere's as he hurled them at his intended targets, firing his own blasts at the man who had Yukimaru in that genjutsu. He tossed four fire balls this time, talking to both of them as he did so. "You know...for some reason I can't really explain...I really...just feel like this was inevitable though, even without the captains orders. Heh...weird huh?"

"Kai!" Yoko's face had seemed to break it's...pirate like act upon seeing her own attacker turn and face her first mate, the girl's bravado melting for a moment, and making her look for a single instant like a very normal girl. However the sight seemed to light a fire within her, causing her to right herself with a flip to her feet and a charge, blade drawn. "Oy! You and me ain't done yet bucko! Leave Kai ALONE!" and surged after her foe, swiping at him with her Katana furiously, and catching him with it twice.

Flonne's own hands caught fire as she zeroed in on the one attacking Kai, her blazing fire flying from her hands as she set her attacks loose as per her captains orders. "Take the flames of justice!!" she cried cheerfully. "Nin nin!"

Yukimaru however even as she finished her jutsu, seemed to be in the middle of an intense mental struggle. "I...must..." she winced slightly. This person...his illusions were strong...but... she clenched her eyes tightly.

"Just remember Yuki, if Maboroshi or anyone ever tries to pick on you with Genjutsu, it doesn't matter how good they are, your greatest weapon his right here!!"

"My boobs, zam? Yes I see, brilliant Kimi-senpai, zam!"

"NO! You're heart! A ninja's true weapon is their soul, their will! Even the strongest Illusions can be driven out so long as you don't give in to them!"


The little girl's eyes seemed to return to their usual stoic intensity, her face unmarred. "You...you say it doesn't matter who you fight...zam? You say that we must pay the price for coming on board this ship, zam...?" her expression seemed to stone itself. "I respect your sheer manly awesomeness for not discriminating against me because of my appearance, Zam. But for a warrior to not care who he fights...to dedicate themselves so certainly to a mission...is that what you believe in, zam?" her will seemed to shatter the illusion, driving the thoughts from her head. As she launched the jutsu she had been preparing at the one attacking Kai, before turning to face the Genjutsu user.

"Everything I have learned when I was a ninja...it wasn't much...but I do know that people who don't care who it is they are fighting would kill without discrimination, zam. Reigning epic death is one thing...but to kill without thought...that is, zam..." the little girl's eyes became intense. "It is against all that my Senpai taught me, zam. If you kill someone, it should be because your own will has judged them to be worthless...do you then think everyone to be worthless... or...do you simply say that because...you do not intend to kill us, zam...?" she narrowed her eyes slightly. Standing as she made a hand sign, bushin popping up on either side of her. "Hn...I will be your opponent show me what it is that you believe, zam."


Henchman number 5 staggering as his own opponent gave him his wounds, a yell coming from his lips as blood splashed across his figure, a gaping wound in his chest causing him give pause, kneeling with a twisted look of frustration on his face. "Dammmit..." his face turned into one of suffering. "Why...why can't I ever..." he turned his gaze slightly, watching as his captain rushed to Kai's aide...Kai...always Kai. He...he was gravely hurt...but it was always Kai. He grit his teeth. "Ninja...all that garbage your spouting...do you know how self righteous it sounds...? Do you think that anyone could really believe you when you tell them that when you have your blade at their throat. That's exactly what I'm talking about. Killing for other people's sake...that's not a human emotion...it's something that tools do. I refuse to believe otherwise. Human's kill because it's personal...not because of some twisted sense of world justice or order....or peace." he looked up at the white haired boy in front of him. "My captain...she's never killed anyone. Every if she beats you...she won't...kill you..." he looked up at him, slowly getting to his feet. "But...if that's the reason you say you're fighting...I guess I can accept that..." he twitched slight, holding the kunai tightly in his other hand as he pressed the bloody wound on his chest. "I guess...if that's true...you and I are both tools...because..." his eyes turned to Yoko's back, his eyes misty. "I'm the same...I'm fighting for someone else...I'm fighting because I'm her tool...but even so..." he looked suddenly filled with rage as he charged and struck his foe with another fist, his other hand raising up to stab at him. "I'm doing this against her orders...I'm going to kill you because I...refuse to let anyone walk all over me any more...I..." there was something in his eyes. "I want to go out...like a human..."

Using this technique, the user can spit a stream of extremely sticky syrup that covers the ground and holds opponents in place. Any ninja capable of walking on water can avoid being stuck in the syrup, but needs to do so before being caught.

Training: 3 stages
Stage I: Chakra Control DC 26 Generating syrup from water inside the user's mouth.
Stage II: Chakra Control DC 28 Controlling the spread of the syrup.
Stage III: Ninjutsu DC 24 Increasing stickiness of the syrup to maximum viscosity.
Special: Renders victim immobile for [chk mod] number of turns. Victim can only attack using long-ranged attacks or techniques. If used as a sneak attack, user must roll and pass an awareness check before his reflex DC. If he fails Awareness Check, target cannot dodge the technique.

Bunshin no Jutsu (Clone Technique)
This is a basic technique taught to ninja at an academy. Bunshin no Jutsu creates one or more clones of the user, which can be used as a means to create a diversion, distraction, or cause confusion. These illusory clones will simply disappear if come into contact, and cannot do anything to damage the opponent.
Cp cost: 1 pt. per clone.

Requirements: Learn in the academy.
Training: 1 stage
Stage I: Chakra Control DC 10 Use your chakra to create a model of yourself. Pay special attention to details so that your clone and yourself will be hard to distinguish apart.
Special: Can create 1 per 5 ranks in Chakra Control. The user numbers each of their clones individually. The attacker does a random number check to see what they hit.
To See Through Clones: d20 + 1/2 the user's int mod + half the user's chk mod vs. d20 + opponent's int. mod. Opponent will target the real ninja among the clones.

It was somewhat ironic but Shinzu managed to dodge Kai's attack, thanks to Yuki's. When her katana had bit into his flesh he had turned immediately to counterattack, and thus out of the way of Kai's fire. On the other hand he moved right into the other girl's syrup technique. 'Damn.' Shinzu thought the instant his feet got caught, he could move but not enough to attack. So it was going to be a defensive and ranged battle then. Reaching behind him Shinzu grabbed two Kunai, one in each hand, and threw them at Kai. The instant he did that he settled into a defensive stance. "Tenshi knock him out and take get the blonde girl" Shinzu ordered. "Don't kill him... Trust me you don't want that on your conscious." Shinzu said, not worrying about himself for a moment.

Courage in the face of death. The boy wasn't going to give up will the last breath left his body. Tenshi was smacked by the boys blow. He took a few steps back to avoid further strikes. He kept a straight face and wiped some blood from his mouth, and threw it to the ground, preventing it from getting on his clothing. "I am a tool, for my village, but I also choose to protect, the same as you. It doesn't take a wise man to see what is in your eyes, and that, Ryou-kun, is both courageous and honorable." Tenshi readied his weapon and took his steps forward striking down on Ryou, "May you die with courage, and live forever with honor..." After hearing the pleas of the dying boy he was attacking, it just seemed he was given the wrong hand, and played the cards he was dealt. It seemed like he never had a chance, and even in death no one would seem to notice him gone. And this was the first person he killed?

It slightly angered him that the young man had to die. He looked much older than Tenshi, though still in his youth. Before the boy could fall to the ground, Tenshi grabbed him and lowered him to the floor of the ship, "I have given you an opportunity. If you have the strength to pull through, for her, you may yet live, but the choice is yours. Either way, my name is Fubuki Tenshi, Ryou-kun, and may whichever life you choose, be at peace." He laid the boy's head on the ground and stood up. He wondered if when the time came he would be able to kill someone. He had almost killed Ryou, he had gone full strength on the young man and left him fatally wounded. In a sense though... he did kill him. He walked over to the blonde girl.

As if someone rewound a tape, he pointed his wakizashi at Flonne, "Good evening miss. My name is Fubuki Tenshi, and now, I am your foe." He took a deep breath and readied himself. He took a charge, going for the girl's side, the same as with Ryou.

Wakizashi
The katana's sister and one of the most famous weapons of the ninjas. The sword is smaller than the katana and is normally used as a piercing weapon. It is around 60cm long.
Damage: 2 - 6 + str. mod. (4) + Skill (3-6) = 9 - 16
Range: Melee.
Special: Causes a Bleeding Wound upon a critical hit.
Dual Wield: Yes, -7 to attack roll.

Batsu's genjutsu was broken and more flames were shot at him... such as they were. As with the last barrage, Batsu dodged them all and went right back to attacking with his genjutsu. The boy went after the same girl and immediately pelted her with the same jutsu. Without question, these people were persistent... even if their skills were just one big punchline after another.
