the perfect SM army against orks is 3 six-man tactical squads with 4 basic bolters, a sarge, and one plasmacannon, 3 Land Speeder squads of three, all with Heavy bolters, and a devastator squad with 4 heavy bolters and a sarge and a bolter guy. Mount all of the troop squads in Razorbacks, and you have the ultimate Anti ork army.
Interesting...
Incredibly inbexpensive for its efficeincy too, but its only good against lightl;y aarmored armioes, unless you switch a landspeeder squad for one with multi meltas.
I would think that you would at least need maybe a single Predator to take out the tanks.
landspeeders with multimeltas work great for antitank and persuing fleeing tanks; the predatotr can barely shoot after 6", the speeders can easily after 12".
I guess that works.
Their strength is in their speed. nothing that has the power to destroy them can score more than a glancing hit, even if they could catch up.
Kinda' like Cypers with Brightlances. biggrin
and a few with starcannons, for Antiinbfantry. plus they dont count t as opentopped. biggrin biggrin

your point? they cost 50 points for gods sake! besides,
they're impossible to get a penetrating hit on them if you keep moving them.

i dont really like terminators. they are very vulnerable to ALOT of shots. focus a few heavy bolters on them for a turn, and they will lose most of their squad.

Best armor for any army(in my opinion) is the Dark Eldar Shadow Field(2+invulnerable save, first failed breaks shield but doesn't cause wounds), followed by Terminator Armor

2+ with a 4+ "just in case"... now, equip it to a Sanguinary High Priest with a Narthecium and two Exsanguinators, and you got yourself one tough model. He can effectively cancel out three wounds a turn with those, not to mention he can't be killed outright.

My leader will be Sanguinius. xd
but yeah, I once theorised on the "Incredible Apothecary" the blood angels can use... It may have changed in 4th ed... but in 3rd, you can easily have a solidly built almost immortal apothecary assisting his squad.

Hmmm. My current Force Commander, Drake Vendric, is retiring, to be replaced by Vance Draken, Leader.

I believe the new plastic model makes a point of it being mounted on the backpack.
